Smart replies, i.e. quick replies that used to appear under messages (e.g. whatapp) with written answers "predicted" by the AI based on the text (such as "how are you?" -> good/bad), now seem not work anymore.
I already tried to:
restart
clear play services cache
install a new version of "android system intelligence" from apk mirror
in fact, the latter would seem to be the offending component since going to the play store I am told that "it is no longer compatible with my device".
Ideas?
anyone have the same problem?

Hello,
Last month after reading allot about it I finally installed Android NAND on my HTC HD2. After several ROM's I ended up with TyphooN CyanogenMod 7. Works (almost) like a charm. I can not get one thing working. Installation of some market apps.
For instance Google Maps or name another Angry Birds. When I search for them it says it is not yet installed so I go to install. It already shows the check-box "Allow automatic updating" (but the box can not be checked). Then I go to install and OK and it shows "Your item will be downloaded" and a download icon in the notification bar. But half a second later the icon is gone and the app is not installed. What to do?
I've tried searching several forums, but to no avail. Somewhere I've found the market app cache should be deleted, but this does not work. I've tried wiping and reinstalling the ROM, but it does not work. The only way I get it to work is to Google for the app and install outside the market. But than I don't get updates. I had the same problem with Facebook, but last week after the last time I wiped the phone, it installed correctly. Could it be the apps are not yet Android 2.3 compatible?

Click to collapse
I am pretty sure both of them are 2.3 compatible, because I have them installed and they're working
But anyway, I had the same problem long time ago, it might be a Google Account problem. If you go to privacy policy (or however it is spelled in English, it's the icon with the fence) there is a checkbox where you should uncheck, because Google offers you to save your data on their servers. That never worked for me.
You could also try to uncheck every box of your Google account in the account settings..
Nice try
But does not work. Unchecked sync with server:
Tried to install maps/angry birds -> Fail
Cleared cache, Tried to install maps/angry birds -> Fail
Cleared cache, Reboot, Tried to install maps/angry birds -> Fail
So this looks like it's not the problem
Anybody?
Starting to be a hassle. Also some other games like "Pew pew" do not install from Android Market.
After installing Android Market, many applcations aren't showing up on my KF, from "Yahoo Fantasy" to "Google Earth.
Is there a way around this. I know on my phone you use to have to edit the build prop or something to get the Market to show all the apps.
protected apps don't show up - use sideloading
have tried editing the fingerprint in build.prop - it brings you more troubles ...
(amazon services, incompatible apps, ...)
if someone knows a compatible fingerprint, please post it !
Yeah, sideloading is really the best option. Find a website (like apktop or similar) that has apps available for download and then just download them and install.
Another option, if you have an Android phone, is to download the app, then send it to yourself via email or Dropbox.
Haven't messed around with build.prop myself, it's too scary to me. So far I've only come across maybe two apps that I haven't been able to sideload successfully.
hijack this thread with a related question...
sideloaded apps do not show up in market. is there any way to have them show up there? or have to manually update using apks?
thanks.

goto settings -> applications -> market
clear cache -> clear data -> force close -> reboot KF
after reentering the market you should have your apps (with a bit of luck)
if they are not protected apps. sideloaded protected apps you'll never see in the market.
Just Rooted New Color according to Manual Nooter, All went well but did not see but a few apps on the store, so I followed other directions on page to show all apps, restarted and now getting a Server Error message on the Play Store Page, will not connect, checked settings and could not find anything in that, I cleared Cache and Data on Google Framwork and on Market Like was told to do.. Not sure..
Also on a side not, I have a perfectly rooted Tablet and does not keep bringing up CWM evertime I turn on and off, Would you please also help Mount that on the Color so that I may Unmount the SD card without starting over..
Thank you much for the help.. Will give a boost in Rep..
Also if you could point me to a few other pages needed to root and change settings to what I may need to do and read.. Again thank you..
I guess the Question to ask, Should I have a whole list of Apps on the Play store too?? Or a very very Limited number of apps.. I'm guessing a total of about `15` Pretty sad if that's what I'm looking forward to.
Nevermind, This post can be deleted, I figured it out..
Well? What was it?
Hello, I'm having a problem I could not solve even after searching in many forums and video tutorials.
My situation is as follows. Due to technical problems in my Galaxy Y GTS-5310 (it suffered some sort of electric pane that disabled the camera and the input of the headset), I decided to buy a GTS-5360.
The GTS-5310 device was ok to run all applications I used normally, with 4.1.2 Jellyfish. Whenever any updated version of any app was not available on Google Play for some reason (with some exceptions here and there), I've always been able to install it directly through the SD Card.
As I imagined, this new device (with old 2.6.1 Gingerbread) did not recognize the installation of most apps I used (such as Whatsapp, Waze or Instagram). I have managed to install only few of them, like Facebook Lite or Root Browser, and only through the SD Card.
On this new phone, the Google Play Store always shows me a message of incompatible versions (either with Error 492 or simply not making the download button available). Whenever I try to install any of these through SD Card (by downloading the .apk file directly to my computer, be it in Google Chrome or Firefox), then Parse Error appears ("There is a problem parsing this package").
So my first attempt was to use Google Market Helper to change the ROM record as it is viewed by Google Play. However, even changing the version registration of the device to a more upgraded one, this did not work.
The next step was to actually install a new ROM. I have since tried Hyperion 9.0 (2.6), then I try upgrading to Lollipop (4.4), which runs ok, except for installing these apps. As far as I know, the latter should accept the download and installation of most of the apps mentioned above. But whatever I tried, I kept getting the same error messages (Error 492 via Google Market, Parse Error via SD Card).
Since then, some of the suggestions I've followed have not worked either. These include deleting the .android_secure folder from the SD Card, then clearing the cache of processes such as the Google Play Store and Google Framework, as well as clearing the dalvik cache through CWM and rebooting. I did this more than once, but the problem persisted.
I wonder now whether even upgrading the Galaxy Y GTS-5360 to a compatible ROM such as Lollipop is enough for being able to run these applications due to hardware issues.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi, galaxy y s5360 just support gingerbread is the reason of pars error when you install higher android apps.
About 492, any notification( log in error or gtalk...)?
Did you tried:
- Turn off device, Delete that folder on computer, then flash the rom again
- log in new gg acc
Hi,
I have a Nexus 7 (2012) wifi-only model and want to install printoid (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.yochi76.printoid.phones.trial) on it. But the Google play store keeps telling me my device isn't compatible... I don't understand why.
I have an even older tablet (galaxy tab 1 7") where its working without issues, a bit slow though. And I know the developer of the application also has the same Nexus model and can install it without any problems. I installed the APK by sideloading it, runs without any problems, just can't download it from the store.
Some facts
Google Play services = version 11.7.44
Google Play store = version 8.4.18.V-all
Tried Android 5.1.1 (XenonHD ROM) and my device is rooted
Tried the stock rom 5.1.1, even un-rooted and locked it
Tried lineageOS 7.1
What could be causing this?
Probably the developer himself has forbidden the installation of the application on this device. Either in the application manifest contains the necessary (not optional) permissions, because of which the device was automatically excluded from the list of devices. I also from time to time come across applications (even from Google) that can not be installed with Google Play. But nevertheless, they work fine if you manually install the apk.
Just use https://apkpure.com/ for such cases.
Thanks @gmikhail, didnt know the apkpure site, handy. I had contact with the developer and he has the same device. He can install without any problems, which makes it even more strange.
Rather use it from the play store, makes updating easier.
@nosmo-king The app is not available for me too. So the problem is exactly on the developer's side. Let it go to the device list and manually recheck device.
In Google Play Console -> Select app -> Release Management -> Device Catalog -> Find Nexus 7 2012. There should be written why the device is not supported.
PS: apkpure supports auto-update.
Good to know I am not the only one, thanks for checking.
I replied to the developer, I hope he can do something...
Good to know about apkpure, unfortunately the PRO version is not available. Probably because its not free
