I bought a Zeblaze Crystal watch. Nice object. Unfortunately, for an error (I tried to use the Arduino suite in order to understand if it would be possible to program it)... I deleted its firmware.
So I searched and I found that the MTK2502 is the common cpu for many models... and that the OS of one can be installed on another.
In this moment I installed on the Zeblaze Crystal the OS of the Oukitel A28 and it works perfectly.
I also tried the OS of the NO.1 G2 Smartwatch and it worked nice. This last has more apps, like a video player for video copied in the watch. But this OS reversed the screen, so it is better for people who wear the phone on the right wrist.
In any case changing the OS is really a simple operation and it took just 5 minutes.
I could say that the Oukitel OS is like the original. Maybe the watch layout a little better, but the same functionalities.
Now I would like to share with you all the possible links to the OS and to the software that it is needed to install it. Maybe we could create a repository for all this OS (for the MTK2502) and, in the future, when someone could understand the ROM layout, also try to add new apps or watch faces.
Obviously, install a new OS can brick your device. I did it without problem, but be aware of the risk.
So, to install the new OS just download the tool for the NO.1 G2 Smartwatch (the file has the OS, the needed tool and the instructions):
https://goo.gl/jpNQdd
If you want, instead, the Oukitel A28 OS, just refer to the link (the OS to be used with the previous tool):
http://depositfiles.com/files/kddf8hbsu
I observed that, in any case, all these OS are the same for what concerns the stability of the connection with the phone.
I add that, to update the OS, you have to:
turn off it
connect the watch with the cable to the PC
start the software and the update process and, when it says something like "searching" press and keep pressed the watch button.
Best
where can i found the Zeblaze Crystal OS? I have an F2 an dwould like to install teh Zeblaze Crystal OS on it
Not Omate X compatible, touchscreen doesn't work. No compatible firmware to flash back to.
where can i found the Zeblaze Crystal OS? Can you send me?

I am sorry, but I have not found the Zeblaze Crystal OS. I have installed the Oukitel A28 (see the link before). It works perfectly.
Hi Marko...firstly, thanks for all the hard work you've put in here.
I own a No.1 G.2 which I bought in December last year. I love it BUT it does not have gesture wake for the screen and you have to press the button for the screen to light up. Apparently the latest firmware allows this or, as you indicate above, you can use the Oukitel a28 firmware for the same effect.
My problem is that I have tried downloading the new firmware for the G2...I can load the scatter file...the software says that the chip in the watch is compatible but when I click start nothing happens. The bar stays at 0%. I've tried it with the watch switched on connected by USB and switched off. Nothing happens. I've tried pressing the power button as you indicate above...nothing. When I connect the USB cable with the watch powered on the notice "Mass Storage" or "Com Port" comes up but when I try clicking on "Com Port" the watch says "Not allow".
This is driving me nuts. Can you help? The watch is still working fine so I haven't damaged the existing firmware but I'd dearly like to have gesture control or the nice a28 firmware.
Hello I came across this threat and had the big hope that this could help me.
I have a A28 Oukitel and I am very happy with it, as for it's cheapness and the way it works and its watchfaces.
Now as the Zeblaze is out that watch has one more nice watchface and what I am missing it has a stopwatch.
I really hoped that I could do it vice versa to marco but unfortunately the Zeblaze firmware is not of the same kind as the firmwares of the No.1 G2 and the A28 they both refer in the config.file to general files based on TinySystem-ROMs but the Zeblaze does refer to a .bin-file.
I am not really an expert in programming so I don't know if this is basically because the Zeblaze supposed to have more RAM 32/64 MB or is it because the firmware is based on another platform?
My question is: is there a way to read them out and transform one to another? Does any kind of programming tool make it understandable to a basic PC-User?
Any kind of deeper knowledge would help me.
@ Stroppytommy:
I am not sure if you got this right. Using the flashtool needs administration rights! And the PC is checking the COM-Port only within milliseconds so it is important that you have turned the watch off! Than after! starting the download you connect the turned off watch to the PC. That should turn the "Searchnig..." hint into naming the COM-Port and the process begins.

Yep...thanks. Your suggestion worked. The new 2016 (No.1.G2) firmware is crap, however. It now shows motion sensing in the menu (for auto gesture on) but selecting that option has no effect on the watch at all.

Will the Oukitel firmware run on the No.1 G2 ???

check here guys . the latest firmware for ZeBlaze Crystal.
and com ports issue also solved
May be its a silly question but surprisingly there is not a single article on the web about this!?
Well, Apart from the BASIC difference between them, which is, one is android os and another is android wear os, what are the pros and cons? What more? please help?
I understand -
1. OS difference.
2. Watchface limitations and watchface functionality limitation. Android wear watchfaces can be touched to change various feature depending on watch face which so far no Android watchfaces can do.
what else?
Hello,
iam interested in buying a round Smartwatch (i didnt like the sqaure style) and boarderless(without a black ring between case and display, but this isnt really needed) for about 100€/$ ... but have some questions before buying (you know it is a lot of money at all)...
- Is it possible to use it as a "full" tethering device (initiate a call via Smartwatch, get Messages AND REPLY SMS and Whatsapp messages shortly, i know the issue with the small keyboard !)?
- Wish to use the pedometer the whole day and may use the heart rate monitor sometimes (highly 1 to 2 times a day) and want to synchronize it via bluetooth (know this is mostly possible with fundowear app or the related alternatives)
- Didnt want to put in a sim, but like to have mobile networking functions! Is it possible to thetering for example the fundowear app and mobile network both parallele via bluetooth? (i know this may results in low datarates if possible, but wish a longer battery life with this.)
- According to this, i wish to use the "ok google" feature to simply search some informations on the internet.
- Like the full android on the smartwatch, so may i want to install some small apps to it... and which apps will be a must have for a smartwatch (may alternatives to preinstalled onces)?
- Wish to have the possibility to create or download a new Watchface (because not all on stock watchfaces are good or may too simple or too colorful, and i already noticed that it isnt simply like for android wear devices).
- And want the feature of swinging the arm to see the watchface for about two times an hour at least!
- On unbox and review videos i have seen the feature of switching to square aspect ratio, i want this feature too!
This questions and suggestions are mostly software or firmware related...
And which Smartwatch has the attribute of Waterresitence (so i can wash my hands with it, not for swimming or diving)? And want the possibility to change the armwrist with a standard clock armwrist!!! And whitch one has more than 2GB free disk space for some apps, pictures and may some voice records or notes?
I know this forum is the right place for all these questions but missing a sticky thread with answers for these or other questions...
So can you tell me which Smartwatch has all the features and functions and a battery for a daily use (about 12h, by using the listened features)???And is it possible to buy a cheap second charging cable (most are using the 4pin magnetic plug, may they are compatible)???
Thank you very much!

but didnt know if this is the same coding for other Smartwatches like KW88 or No.1 G6 or Y3 or DM368 or LF16 ... please help anyway
Thank you very much! I think the chinese Smartwatch thing is too frustrating at this time
This video may help you cut through a lot of the confusion so you can focus on which type of smartwatch will really fit your needs best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvOvGThb3i4
Hey everyone,
I'm fairly new to the world of smartwatches, but I am doing some work where I'd like to be able to send some information 'covertly' to a smartwatch.
I assumed I might be able to just pick up a cheap smartwatch and install an APK of my own making on it as an app, relaying information from a connected phone or similar - however it would seem the majority of the cheaper brand smartwatches are just set up with a suite of applications and you can't change them.
I then realised that I don't even need the normal 'features' of a smartwatch - I only want to run the one android 'app'. I thought maybe there might be a way of putting some custom firmware on a device that would let me do something like this, which led me to your forums - but I'm a bit lost looking through in honesty.
So I'm looking for a bit of advice as to what type of smartwatch might be useful here, and if my previous idea is at all possible? Thanks for reading
I have a problem about build watch face without wear OS, so can you guys help me to explain about references of all development tools for LC112 smartwatch or how i improve that with Android SDK development tools?
mostly no tools for this type of watches. you must make it by yourself.
- get few watch faces via app
- analyze it and investigate watch face file structure
- make an editor
- try to feed your watch app by your watch faces
- if an app will reject your files, you'll be forced to make yourown app to upload it.
or you may try to find tools if someone already complete this quest.
share few watchfaces from your app and app name at first. for understanding what is it.
