Alright, this is not my first rodeo, however, this is my first Secure fail. I made sure I downloaded the correct stock ROM for T380DXS4CUD3. I downloaded the Combination for Binary 4, It went in just fine. Returned to stock only to receive this message.
SECURE CHECK FAIL : Modem
I also downloaded the only other Binary 4 stock ROM for this model I could find, and still receive the same error.
I extracted modem.bin.lz4 from AP file and archived into TAR, odin PASS.
Still getting the error.
What do I need to do to repair this.
Has anyone else been able to figure out how to fix this?

Hey guys,
I'm a noobie to flashing my phone and have attempted to do so, with no success and now my device is bricked.....so i'm looking for a handout here before I totally give up and see if the local Verizon store will help me at this point.....
Here's the story,
I attempted to installed a custom ROM using Safe strap, but couldn't get it to take. So, I then decided I no longer wanted my phone rooted. Downloaded an MD5 file, and used ODIN to attempt to flash it back to stock. Hit start in ODIN, then immediately got an error message, and now my phone only says that a firmware installation has failed and use the backup program.
Ok, so I tried downloading the MD5 file again and still have the same results. I keep getting the following screen when I attempt to flash it via ODIN on my phone:
ODIN MODE
Product Name: SM-N900V
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: OxO
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: Ox1
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
AP SWREV: S1, T1, A1, A3, P1
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
UDC START
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 3 > Binary 1
So I have no idea what i've done here by poking at it......and have no idea what to do now besides crawl for help and ask for forgiveness at Verizon.....
I'm currently downloading the latest MD5 file from Sammobile.com in a last attempt. The previous MD5 files were obtained via other sites.
Again, any help is appreciated.....

You tried downgrading your bootloader. Flash your latest if you can find it.
Thank you for the help!
Is there any possibility I could ask for some help as to where to find the bootloader file? I'm assuming you find and download the file, then add it under the BL box in ODIN, in addition to checking the [Phone Bootloader Update] box?
Again, thank you for the help, I have no idea what to do next other than what you have helped with......and no phone now due to my own incompetence.....

If you have the N900V firmware file to upgrade to, the bootloader will automatically be flashed in the PDA all-in-one file. No firmware comes without a bootloader already inside.
Just flash the latest firmware using Odin (if you can) and then everything will be flashed as a new system except your data which may remain.

Got it. So, most likely what's happening is the MD5 (Frimware file) i'm trying to flash has an older bootloader than what's already on the phone, so i'm getting the error message telling me this. In essence, the phone is telling me i'm trying to downgrade and not allowing it.
I have located a new Frimware file via sammobile.com by typing in my model number (N900V) and the date was April 2014 for the file. Hopefully this is the right one, otherwise, I have no idea what to do next......as this is the latest file I can find by my limited experience/means.
So, once the download completes (not a paid member on sammobile) in about an hour, i'll give it a shot via ODIN and hopefully it works this time.
I will keep this thread updated as to the success/failure. Again, thank you for the help.......I have no idea what to do at this point other than take it in to the store and get scolded by them. Hopefully this MD5 file from sammobile is the right one

The MD5 single file should be the AIO file that you only need to flash through AP, and it will handle everything by itself.
The file from sammobile.com flashed perfect! I have a phone again, thank you so much! I see my KNOX counter is still set to 0x1, I assume that will always indicate it has been tampered with?

Hello,
I was trying to flash the ILO lollipop firmware that I downloaded from sammobile and the version I downloaded would fail the md5 check so I tried downloading from another website.
I downloaded it and it passed the md5 check, everything goes well with the flash until the very end when it says FAIL. I tried flashing it a couple times, each time it says FAIL so i had to revert back to my old firmware which did flash succesfully. The PIT file is the same for both firmwares so that wouldnt be the issue. Is it possible that the csc causes the FAIL? Any other ideas of why it fails every time?
Has anyone had success in flashing this firmware? G900FXXU1BOC7_G900FOJK1BOC2_G900FXXU1BOC7_HOME.tar

i have the same problem...please!!! help me!!!
Probably you've had an OTA (over the air, wifi) update. You should flash latest firmware for your device. Samsung locked the bootloader, it's not possible to install an older firm anymore (until someone finds how).
any solution to fix this problem ?

I fixed my phone by downloading stock 5.1.1, unpacked with 7zip, deleted modem.bin and sboot.bin from the extracted contents, packed the contents again as tar using 7zip and flashed via ODIN.
Looking for an answer as well. Same situation after I wiped cache. Phone is on the fritz. Ive been up for the past 6 hours trying to fix it. Im trying to save my files on my phone in the case I need to wipe everything.

do you mean aboot.bin? and when you packed the contents, did you just zip them? then just the extension to .tar? or did you change it to .tar, THEN zip it?
Figured it out on my own. Flashed CF autoroot. Then flashed 5.1.1 which is the most up to date firmware. Im not sure if the issue was because I was doing 5.1.0 and didnt realize that was the most UTD version, or if CF to 5.1.1 was the trigger. Either way, it worked.
I tried this but also failed, then I read somewhere else that I need to remove cm.bin and sboot.bin.
I did and it flashed OK, but phone is stuck in bootloop and wont go to recovery mote form e to reset.
I am presently searching for a way to get it out of bootloop

try rename firmware file from .md5 to .tar and extract it using 7-Zip, delete or move sboot.bin and modem.bin then make a new 7-Zip archive with .tar extension and install it regulary by Odin
Thanks.
But like I wrote, I have been able to flash, but phone is in bootloop now
use the sboot and modem files from the LATEST update..just swap em out
So I succesfully unlocked my note 4. Then I tried to install a MM rom following one of the guides. It failed an Odin update and now I have no firmware. I tried to go back to 5.1.1 by using the full version Odin flash and the recovery flash, but they both fail at the end of system. The phone is currently showing showing Software Update Failed when I turn it on and it connects to Odin fine.
After a firmware update failure the phone says:
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [tz]Fused 2 > Binary 1
Any clue on where to go or what to do?
See attached Odin screenshot.
I re partitioned with the PIT file and it took.

Hi,
I cant seem to find anything related directly to the S8 and not sure if all mobiles are the same..
I had Android 8 on my S8 and needed to downgrade to 7 to try something, I did that but after it completed I had a messy settings menu where parts were duplicated or showing the wrong sub-heading.
I've read on the forums about this and it says re-flash with CSC and AP to fix.
When I try to re-flash it gets stuck on "Set Partition" in Odin.
I read to fix this you need to enable the "re-partition" option in Odin, I have tried this and it still does not work.
I have also tried full flash or AP, CSC, BL and CP and it's still getting stuck.
Tried on two different PC's (just in case) - same result on both.
The phone still boots and works, but it feels like something is wrong.
Can someone advise on how to completely re-flash the phone? The videos I've watched so far don't seem to run into this issue.
Any help would be awesome
Update: Using odin 3.13 gives this error: <ID:0/005> Can't open the specified file. (Line: 1892)
I've tried it with SamFirm and Sammobile FW.
EDIT - Finally fixed it, flashed G950FXXU1AQDG to the handset, wiping and re-partitioning the phone, after setup an OTA update was pushed for 8.0.
In case anyone else has the same issue, I used Sammobile for the FW and Odin 3.12 to flash.
