[ROM] 10,25" BMW HeadUnit . 8227L demo - Android Head-Units

Here you have recovery files I got from chinese store AUTOTOP when asked from another account (on which they havent blocked me)
Android 8.1 with "bmw os 1.09"
BMW-8227L_demo.zip
drive.google.com
There are instructions how to proceed recovery but shortly: You have to format pendrive to fat32 and put folder CKXUPG on it. Like for example E:\CKXUPG\~files that are in CKXUPG~. Then You should plug that pendrive in one of USB cables from radio (I dont remember which one, I tried both till success). There is a reset button on left side of radio that you can use for trying another cable, you dont need to unplug car battery or whatsoever
There is no newer version than Android 8.1. All androids 8+ works worse than this one and are faked androids 10....
I also have version of "bmw os 1.26 with fake android 10":
BMWID6_OS_1.26--10.0.zip
drive.google.com
and version "bmw os 1.31" but I think i didnt manage to update to that version:
XRC_BMW_OS_1.31.zip
drive.google.com
p.s. from what I remember if everything is OK there should be some console output running in left top corner right few seconds after booting. If it doesnt happen you get stuck on bootlogo and have to reset device.
BTW. dont try to use Media button or "Your BMW tab" untill you configure headunit in factory settings (few times click on android version and then inserting 8888 code. If you dont have CCC/CIC and you selected wrong options the headunit is trying to display signal from CCC/CIC and you're basically stuck.

hello do you have the mcu update please cordially

It is probably in a boot loop. What did you install or do to get it in that boot loop?
If you didn't do anything, you might try to rest the unit or disconnect if from 12V and wait at least 2 hours.
And edit your first post to change the title. I assume it is "resetting" and not "resting"

1- no I didn't do anything to it. It was working perfectly and I had to switch the car off and then turned it on the boot loop issue started.
2- how do I disconnect it from 12v? Sorry but I am have zero experience when it comes to cars.
3- and you are right it's resetting but I have no idea how to edit the title of thread.

2- Get it out of the dashboard and disconnect the harness or the power plug or take the fuse out.
3- like I said. Edit the first post. It will also make the title editable.
Do you have a small reset hole in the front of your unit? If so, try to reset it with a "pointy" thing like a needle or something else.
Try what surfer63 says, because he has way more experience than most of the people about Android Head Units on this board. If all else fails try what I did after having a bootlooping HU for nearly 4 months :S
Had the same issue. The HU (with 2 USB ports) was some unknown brand called Funrover loosely based on Joying firmware. What worked for me was
- Download the suitable Joying firmware : joyingauto.com/blog/post/joying-intel-sofia-android-car-stereo-software-update
- Extract it on the PC and then copy the firmware files on to a freshly (FAT32) formatted USB drive
- Plug in the USB drive to your HU USB port (1?)
- Since your HU is already bootlooping, plug in a keyboard and use the following key combination> Alt + Print Scr + tapping i (or e, both worked for me) to get in to recover
- Ideally the recovery option will detect the plugged in USB and start reflashing the firmware so that you will be able to use the HU again.

I think there was some issue with the correct file being available. You can try this new link and see if this firmware is compatible with your unit.

Are there any UK based head unit repair experts

Hi is there anyone on these forums that can repair one of these chinese units
I have one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384770479698 in my 2006 Merc. its a MTK8667 Android 11 based unit. FF_866X is the device name, i'm sorry I do not know the MCU
I was sent some update files from the seller https://we.tl/t-UeDC40i6Ul XRC-8667 升级软件 Q腾实UI多合一-国外-1280x720_v32_20220223
during the update process it copied the superimage ok but then something came up in red but it came up to a kind of recovery and said erasing... it then rebooted it gets to the car logo screen, before android screen then goes to a blank screen with the following in bottom left corner...FASTBOOT MODE and wont go any further
I have pressed RST then two fingers on screen until i get "detected" but all i get is the same fastboot mode again,
I have redownloaded and extracted the firmware and reformatted my usb drive to fat32 and tried the whole process again and tried in both usb slots but no sucess.
I have obtained other mtk8667 firmware files 8667.bin and 8667.upd from this topic https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/firmware-junsun-v1-8667q-8g-128g-vhd-qled.4405475/ on this forum but I have tried many different ones and it just wont read the usb, still just goes straight to fastboot mode....is anyone able to help me I have messaged the seller but no reply
So far I have tried about 7 or 8 different firmware versions, the sellers own, some junsun versions, ossuret versions even xtrons versions(all in correct format of 8667.bin and 8667.upd on root of usb formatted to fat32 but it does not read the usb.
The usb slots are still working as I can plug my phone in and it charges but the unit does not seem to have a full recovery mode
I have tried using a program called adb and fastboot on the computer but will not connect to the head unit
I have manually installed MTK drivers to the computer and tries a program called magic thunder but again would not connect to the unit.
I have tried to find a memory dump online but nothing, all I can find for mtk8667 is firmware consisting of 2 files 8667.bin and 8667.upd
I have now removed the unit from the car so i tried removing everything but 1 usb slot and removing the power for 10 mins before powering up and attempting to flash again
So i think i'm in need of expert help, so i'm looking for a repair shop, or person that can take the unit and hopefully get it working, more than happy to pay a fair fee and to post it to you, or if you are within a couple of hours travel from Yorkshire(Leeds area) I will happily come to you

[Guide] Dasaita px6 MTCE_HA update/upgrade Android 10 to Android 11

After spending 2 days on the forums and softbricking my device for several times, here's my 2 cents about on how to do the upgrade from Andorid 10 to Android 11 or even to downgrade ... on the HA units from Dasaita.
First of all, a small disclaimer:
This worked for me, it might not work for you.
You might end up in bootloop, blackscreen, softbrick, be aware of this risk
My device is a Dasaita Max11, I wanted to downgrade to A10, in order to get Magisk and Hal9k v5 mod installed.
After purchasing modinstaller 3pro, and trying to install Andorid10 I ended up in a blackscreen. Hopefully @Hal9k_ will be able to fix this in his further releases.
Remember, this was ONLY tested and worked on a MTCE_HA device. A rather new model sold by Dasaita last december. If you have a HTC or other device this has no or litlle importance to you, since the images atached are ONLY for HA devices. Also, if you have an older Dasaita model, it might not work as described bellow:
What you'll need:
- a USB A to USB A cable (as short as possible)
- the purple usb plug cable (labeled carplay/android auto) that comes out of the back of de divice (this is the only one that recognized my device in bootloader mode. Feel free to try the others, in function of what configuration your device might have.
- driver assistant (see google drive link)
- flash tool (see google drive link)
- full system image of Android 11 or 10 regarding what you want.
- a pin or paperclip to push the reset button.
The procedure is rather simple:
1. Download and install the driver assistant (google drive link at the end), run it to install the drivers on your windows machine
2. Unpack rkdevtool and run the exe (google drive link at the end). At this point the program will display a huge message in the bottom part saying: "no devices found". That's good.
3. Connect the Usb cable to the HU and to the PC, while the device is turned off (like no power, not in sleep mode)
4. Push the reset button and keep it pushed. While doing this turn on the device. At this point if everything is setup correctly you should hear a notification sound from windows and RKDevTool should say: "Found one bootloader device".
4a) If you only hear the notification and the device is not found in boot loader mode by RKDevTool, check Device Manager and try to reinstall the drivers / install other drivers, try another USB port. (at this point, the usbA to usbA might be to long if the device manager shows: unrecognized device)
4b) If you hear no sound, RKDevTool still shows no devices: Turn off the HU, (really of, no power). After 10-30 seconds turn it on, while it is on, press the reset button and keep it pressed (even after side leds flashing) until the device enters bootloader mode and it is recognized by the RKDevTool.
4c) If none of the above work, switch the usb port on the HU, or try another combination of reset pushing (like trying to enter recovery)
4d) If the PC won't recognize the device in bootloader mode, it might be a situation in which the device is not capable of this, and you might need to take it apart and use the direct SOM flash method ... search the forums.
During step 4 the HU display should remain black, so the only indication of being in bootloader mode and connected to the PC, is the windows notification sound and the messege displayed by RkDevTool.
5)With the device in bootloader mode, connected to the PC, in RKDevTool go to the tab that says: Upgrade firmware. Click on the line(empty rectangle) that says firmware and browse for the desired android img. (10 or 11). See drive link. Attention: the zips from the drive MUST be unpacked and the update.img must be loaded in RkDevTool.
6)After selecting the desired update.img, click on the ERASE FLASH button, wait until the process completes. If everything goes well, the device should reboot in maskrom mode.
7)After the device enters maskrom mode, RkDevTool shoul display the message: "Found one MASKROM device". At this point, just click the UPGRADE button. The new android is flashed on the HU. When the process is finished the HU reboots ITSELF. If that doesn't happen after 1-2max, cut the power and power on.
It should boot in the new android.
Final thoughts after 2 days of thinkering:
This worked for me to downgrade from 11 to 10, and also to upgrade from 10 to 11. Be aware it might NOT work for you!
In theory, if one can get the device in bootloader mode it should work also to upgrade from andoid 9 to 10. This is just a theory and I did not test it.
The advantages of Android 10 over 11 are (for me):
- root access via Magisk (for the time being I could not root 11 with any of the tutorials found online)
- less crap and restrictions imposed by the growing Google censorship..
- the possibility to install the Hal9k v5 mod, one of the greatest and customizable mods ever made for MTCD/MTCE devices.
- using both 11 and 10 I could very certainly tell you, that (from my point of view), 11 has no advantages over 10, nor in stability nor in sharpness.
The images from the google drive are vivid for android 10 and max for android 11. Again, this are FULL images, not just OTA. I put them here after endless hours of searching the net. I respectfully thank to those that took the time to upload them on xda and dasaita forums.
Once you install the base 10 or eleven you can easily switch from vivid to max via update.zip flashed from an usbstick.
Also: there are many tutorials that involve a sdcard, sdcardtool and different combinations of zip images. I tested them ALL using the side sd card slot of the device. NONE OF THEM worked for me. I found the OTG flash method to be the fastest and most reliable, once I figured out how to connect de HU to my pc in bootloader mode.

Nice! Do you perhaps know where to find the files for other headunits? I have a MTCE_HT and have no idea where to look!
