I purchased this off ebay last xmas for my step son and I since inherited his truck and was playing around with the radio and noticed it was really sluggish so I did some research and read about all the fake brands flooding the market so I installed fake device detector from the playstore and sure enough the android version list 8.x but is reporting 10 even though the listing says android 9. it always lists 1 gb ram but shows 2 which the fake device app doesn't flag. I'll post some screenshots and I guess I'm just wondering if there is an android version I can install that will be a little more responsive or am I better off finding a different unit????
I'd suggest replacing.
If wanting a android head unit, which are chinese origin, non-official Android over Android-auto, the UIS7862 FYT units have proven to be 'better'.
Head over to FYT forums.
If wanting genuine Android Auto, Google Android auto, Google has a page that lists genuine makes and models.

Thx for the reply, I'll check out the UIS7862, they seem very reasonably priced vs spending $600+ on a 2007 vehicle

Hi guys
Looking to purchase a new Android headunit for my 2008 Mazda 3 and have narrowed my search down to the following:
Hizpo HIZPO001AU59
A9 4 Core
2gb memory
Android 7.1
Xtrons PCD76M3MA
A7 4 core
1gb memory
Android 6.0
Eonon GA8151
A7 4 Core
2gb memory
Android 6.0
Which one would you recommend out of this bunch if the prices were similar? The Hizpo looks higher spec over all but doesn't look as good ... the Xtrons looks the best but only 1gb RAM. Eonon seems to be middle of the pack ... low spec but 2gb RAM.
Comments and suggestions would be very helpful please I want to get this purchase done today if possible!
Sorry I am not allowed to post links as a new member...
Well just based on looking at this post alone, and owning a Mazdaspeed6 myself, I'm inclined towards the Eonon based on the name alone. I've researched units specified for my car and I've come across Eonon often enough that I wish there was a good unit specifically for my car.
But what are your plans for your unit? Are you looking for simple pnp? Are you looking to fully customize a sic infotainment media center?
Ultimately I think you'd want to find a unit backed by the XDA community

Thanks so much for the reply ... Eonon does seem to have a good name and is much more well known than the other 2.
I'm probably a more basic user ... I'd want to use my unit mainly for GPS and Reversing camera functionality ... but it would be nice if it had good sound output also. I can't see myself putting so many apps on the device but I'd like it to be quick and reliable for years to come. Basically plug and play with minimal configuration required.
From reading other posts on here it sounds like all of these chinese "Huifei" headunits are all basically the same on the inside ... brand doesn't matter too much? In this case a higher spec unit would be better right?
Beware: a colleague have purchased a Joying HU with 1.8 Ghz proc specs (Intel Atom x3/Sofia) clearly stated on seller's page, while its only 1.2 max. This product advertising sheet (rather ****) should be double checked.

Strange I would've thought the Joying HUs would be quite good.
I ended up not purchasing a new headunit ... I'll wait until next year
At the last minute as my finger was hovering over the buy button I realised that the Xtrons and Hizpo HU may not support my Bose Amplifier system that is set up in my Mazdaspeed 3 ... there is a wiring modification that can be done to correct this but I'd rather have it work natively. The Eonon HU includes an adaptor that works well with the Bose system which is great!
I'll likely buy the Eonon unit next year when I'm back in the market to purchase one of these unless another good competitor arrives on the market!
Is there any custom rom for the GA8151?
Regards
Unit 1. Android 9.0 w/PX6
Unit 2. Android 8.1
I've been looking at units to replace the stock one in my 09 wrx. The units say they are for Forresters, but they use the same console set up. I'm not sure which is a "better" unit. The PX6 is the hexacore, but has Android 9.0 and a cleaner interface. No built in Android Auto though, according to rep I am talking to through Ali.
Second unit does have built in Android Auto, but with the 8 core and a uglier interface. Does anyone have any experience, or could point me in a better direction even?
Thanks

PX6 Android 9 would be better.
But be careful as their are a lot of fake units on Ali at the moment. Their is a forum on here somewhere explaining it all. They are saying they are Android 9 with 2+32gb but turning out to just be android 6 with 1+16gb. They have somehow managed to code it so it reads differently. Personally I would purchase from a proper reseller or Amazon or eBay. I bought my 3 Xtrons units direct from their site. But they are a reseller and not the manufacturer. But they also have a lot of different models on their either custom fit or normal single or double din units that are universal. Also they sell the facias and wiring harnesses for all types of vehicles. Good luck.

I installed a TEYES CC3 in my BMW E46 from 2003 and it's a fantastic Android 10 car radio, the screen is fabulous, the sound is really really good. Otherwise you look it up on Youtube. https://www.teyes.com.au/products/t...ord focus&_ss=e&_v=1.0&variant=37995060101316
Note the above comment "teyes" is actually a "FYT" unit for which there are many "brands" - resellers OEM and badge them. There are alot of bugs with these units.
My suggestions (tldr; Avoid Greybox Chinese origin Android and purchase a genuine Android auto unit)
If you're hobbyist, Chinese origin greybox Android might be OK. Accept the reseller will make all sorts of claims about the unit (including Android Auto support) and compatibility with your vehicle.
There will be bugs and issues to work through. In the end you may have to accept these bugs as the reseller stops communicating with you and you turn to xda for support.
Note there is limited support and few active developers. We don't have source code and mods are typically workarounds.
Then there is genuine Android Auto. Refer Google website for list of genuine makes and models. https://www.android.com/auto/compatibility/
Hi,
im very new to android radios and i was already reading a lot.. not just to make a decision which one i should by also to learn about problems, tricks and so on. And im sure, i will have some questions in the future I never had an android radio before and I had a conflict with my wife.. I like a big screen, 10 inch for example which always is a out of dash display but she dont like them. The biggest in dash i could have is a 9 inch unit. I did not found a lot vendors, only dasaita and joying. The radio is for our mercedes 906 sprinter van.
Dasaita: HA2152-Vivid10-CP-HD
https://www.dasaita.com/products/da...o-px6-4g-64g-android10-1280-720-dsp-ahd-radio
Joying: JY-UQ139N4G-H
https://www.joyingauto.eu/android-10-double-din-car-stereo-replacement-4g-lte-radio.html
What i need:
- good sound, it is basically a radio (min. 4x50 W output)
- DSP
- 2 Din (i was reading about over heating problems at 1 din units)
- wireless car play
- good FM receiver chip
As far as I know, the Joying is using the UIS7862, Dasaita PX6. After all i was reading here in the forum, I would prefer the Dasaita because of the PX6. The only problem: there are almost no information about the radio on their website. Which one would you buy and why? Is there anybody with experience of the Dasaita headunit? Are there better alternatives?
Best regards

Hi, prior to buying it I would ask sellers of this device to give you specs of device. And ask them in a way in which them must be clear that you are serious buyer not some naive buyer.
You will be much pleased with your answers.
Hi anton,
yes I was already asking yesterday for some more information but I expect that this unit is not completely different to the PX6 devices, which are more described in detail. Im still waiting for an answer.
I am also looking for a hu for a sprinter van and am looking at these. These seem very expensive compared to some of the other models out there. Is it only because that are made for Mercedes?

Difference is in chipset and prices ...
Mediatek devices are cheaper but full of bugs and much slower units
Qualcomm / Snapdragon units are now top stuff, much faster even with 2x32 GB of memory, everything is connected online , updating , helpdesk etc.
Mediatek devices - Chinese modified - has been reported that they are using some illegal softwares (pirated)
There is a third option , it is "do it yourself" type of device , you order specific device for model of a car, and unit is perfectly adjusted to any of the car model you want (with Qualcomm or older Mediatek chipsets), but it is much expensive rather than standard aftermarket units.
There is a link if you want to configure unit by your needs :
Check this site ... https://www.made-in-china.com
You contact them and they configure your device and order, price is told on end and + shipping.
Ie. like this order - for older cars below 2011 and with dahboard lcd control unit... https://witson.en.made-in-china.com...-Peugeot-407-Silver-Frame-1080P-HD-Video.html
or for Benz
https://witson.en.made-in-china.com...o-Output-to-Sub-Monitor-Like-Mirror-Link.html
Have you looked at the Teyes? https://teyes.com.au/collections/cc...d-10-no-2din-2-din-dvd?variant=38046855495876
Hi,
i was ordering the Dasaita. Had some contact but still not very much information about the device. The unit comes with PX6 and i guess there are not very much differences compared to the well described devices on their page. Lets see when it arrives (guess 4 weeks). They will also send me a unit with vivid11 which is not yet offered in the store. They confirmed that this device will fit into my 2015 sprinter even if the description is only labeled up to 2012. Im not surprised. Im wondering if the can will work but that is not much important to me.

When arrives ,put toghether and test, test , test everything... And results errors etc. report to your seller...
If has online updates, seller will give bug reports to technicians and they will update system or release updates with fixes for your device.
Hello,
i recently purchased a new (but old) car that is equipped with an android auto head unit model 8227. i found out after the purchase that it is basically a chinese knock off ( as i understand it)
i'd like to link my phone to it so i can use the maps app as well as possibly stream music from the phone to the unit.
i tried using the android auto app from the play store but it is not detecting it, and the Tima app that seems to be recommended is poorly rated (im even suspecting malware).
Also android 8 is quite old, but the unit seems stable even though it lacks a dedicated equalizer. (i found one in the music app, but the app itself is not very functional)
I'm not sure upgrading it is the best path here.
do others have experience with this unit? and how have you linked your phone to it ?
cheers.
Not Android-auto requested moderator moves to Android Head units forum.
Op, these are not Android Auto. Given the low spec, suggest better off buying a new unit. If wanting genuine Android Auto, refer to googles list of officially sanctioned headunits (none of which are Chinese knockoffs)
that's what i was my feel as well. thanks for the feedback
