Good evening,
I was unable to find 32GB version of Samsung Galaxy Tab anywhere and I did extensive research. Is there even one being sold?
I mean 32GB of internal memory, not deals on ebay/carphone/anywhere with added free 16 microSDHC card. Even retail stores were unable to answer my question (London).
I can buy the card myself, I just hope they will introduce the proper 32GB version before Christmas...
Few available on eBay. Not sure which 3G bands they're using though.
to my knowledge it comes with 16GB max on device storage, could be wrong but that is what i have been told (in the US atleast)
ebay has nothing...

they are 16GB version with free 16GB microSDHC card, I've just checked ebay.co.uk minute ago
I don't want US version, the topic is about European versions (with "phone" capabilities) which were promised to come in 2 flavours, 16GB and 32GB.
So far the 32GB version is nowhere to find, maybe it's the "rumored AMOLED" who knows ;-)
Its been available here (Holland), but it sells out really fast it seems, and that will only get faster as the Tab is now starting to be seriously advertised (and is available here free on contract).

are you sure it wasn't bundle with a 16GB card?
according to news on engadget (sorry no link low posts), 1 million Galaxy Tabs are already sold (probably to retail stores only but it's success anyway):
yet no matter how hard you try, you won't find real 32GB version in UK which is usually the first "IT European Market" beating Germany most of the time in avaiability, so Holland avaiability is surprising...
any Dutch internet link that I can import/buy the 32GB version to UK? I assume 3G would work fine if it's not locked...

Yep, but its contract only and gone again! Whenever I've seen it online it goes straight to the top of the contract sales charts and is sold out within a couple of days. Its common for very popular devices to be contract only initially as thats where the operators make the most money. I would assume thats the reason its so tough to get right now and with Samsung's revised prediction of 1.5m by the end of year (a 50% increase), its highly unlikely you'll find one before the end of the year.
32GB version still hard to find...
Christmas is almost here and 32GB version in UK is non-existent, and I'm pretty sure it is scarce throughout the whole Europe (I've just checked Germany and some) except very few (above) exceptions.
although Amazon dropped the price to £399, which makes 16GB version bloody cheap and tempting, I need 32GB version (internal memory) of Galaxy Tab instead (various reasons).
thanks for anybody helping me with the quest, I really wonder how Samsung could fail so much of delivering on promises, and is realasing useless "luxury" versions instead...
Sorry to hear of your plight CowGaR.
If you decide 16GB + 16GB is acceptable im selling my tab as we speak, including the keyboard dock and official case. Its literally a week old and stock firmware. It comes as new with protective films attached, acceories sealed and with a reciept. Ive got £600 worth of entertainment codes as well. Just got a tab through work so im gonna shift this one and have an iPad as well to keep the family happy.
Ill get round to posting a link in the market section later.

Does anyone know when the 3G version will be released? I have read in many reviews that battery life on the WiFi is not that impressive, do you think Samsung would ship the 3G version with a larger battery?
in Malaysia the Note 8 is launched with the 3G version already, on Friday.
all specs remain the same throughout
Shame it could have done with a bigger battery by all accounts. I'll still get one, (im)patiently waiting for a 3G version, any colour, any storage size in the UK.
I have been using Galaxy note 8 n5100 as my main phone since i bought it last april 13 here in the Philippines, the battery is pretty good it can last 10 to 12hour, with moderate calls and always connected data, autosync on moderate browsing and email with minimal gps use, the battery on this phone is way better than galaxy tab 7 plus which it replaced as my primary phone

How much did it cost you (in USD)? Are any freebies like PlayStore credit or Dropbox available as well?

Currently, Samsung does not seem to have any plan or intention to launch a phablet version of the device in the US. You'll likely either have to wait for them to come to their senses, or buy an international version.

I'm interested for the the international version.
Heard anything about that?
The 3G price would seem to be hovering around the $800 mark based on eBay listings for the GT-N5100, but it's availability still seems up in the air. Hopefully someone outside of the US can point you towards a reputable international seller with stock.
Wow. It will be so expensive.
Thanks for your help.
The 3G version retails around $580 in Asia. Prices will come down on eBay very soon.
I'm waiting for it in the US as well. There's a site called Negri Electronics located in Las Vegas, that has a pre order page for it, listed at $660 at the time of this post. From what I've heard, the international version should be released April 30, but I haven't found any confirmation. As far as releasing s US version, I'm sure they'll release an LTE version sooner or later for use with CDMA networks like Verizon and US Cellular, but if you plan on getting it going on T-Mobile (like me), it'll only run on their 1900mhz frequency, which allows phone calls, but mostly 2g data speeds, unless you're in an area where they've refarmed the 1900mhz frequency to run HSPA speeds. Good luck and let's hope they bring this bad boy to T-Mobile!

^Yeah, I went ahead and put in my preorder for the 16GB 3G + WiFi N5100 from Negri Electronics last week. It was the least expensive site that I could find, and I know that they are a reputable seller. And since they are in Las Vegas shipping is relatively fast to the Los Angeles area.
Up until early yesterday the site said that the "Expected Availability" date was April 23rd, but just this morning (Los Angeles time) I checked again, and now it says May 8th. Gotta wait a bit longer now and I'm chomping at the bit as it is, LOL. Still, I wish it were closer to just ~$100 (or less) of a premium for the 3G/Phone version instead of the blatant raping that it is.
And we all know that Samsung would sell EXPONENTIALLY more of these if they matched the iPad Mini pricing, and actually released the 32gb versions at the same time as the 16gb base model, and for just $30-$40 more. At least we DO have the option to add microSD cards at a reasonable cost, but really Samsung?...a $100 more for a measly 16gb additional? That's just cwazy. (Yes, I have the same issue with Apple regarding this!) And Samsung makes the RAM memory chips so it's probably something like 50¢ more in actual production cost. :/
Yes. I still ordered one, but it was not an easy (or rational) decision that I made, LOL! It's actually just a bit depressing to contemplate spending so much for their "shiny plastic products", when the competition offer much nicer physical or cosmetic designs and materials (IMO), and at less cost.
I really believe that Samsung creates amazing products, and ergonomically I prefer most of their products over Apple's in that regard. However, they did miss the mark with the speaker and capacitive button placement on the Note 8.0. And I don't know what the designers were thinking with the camera protruding so much that the tab rocks from side-to-side when placed on a table, desk, etc. :/ So much for accurate use of the S-pen (the hero feature of this device)!
IMO, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is the ONLY Samsung mobile electronics device that I can think of where I feel they came even close to matching the build quality and physical design of their competition. But once again, they priced it way out of the market. :/
And I don't mind the use of plastics one bit if they are used properly like the polycarbonates used in some of the higher-end Nokia and HTC devices. I truly feel that when Samsung gets their build quality up to par that the vast majority of the public will have no problem paying Apple-level prices (or more), and they'll sell a bazillion just like Apple does. But they're demanding premium prices, even over what Apple demands, but for an inferior physical design/build quality (IMHO). Why does Samsung not "get this"?!? People expect a BMW or Mercedes when they pay the price for one, not a Citroen (no offense to any Citroen owners).
With the Galaxy S4, if Samsung had just stepped-up the build quality alone (plus the 13mp camera), and nothing more as compared to the GS3, I would have purchased it. But with the same 'ol shiny plastic, its just a "Meh" product to me.
Also, I was really hoping that they would have included the hardware FM Radio tuner on the International version of the Note 8.0, just as they did on the Int'l SGS2, SGS3, Note (N7000), and Note 2. Initially, I didn't think that I would use the FM tuner at all, but I've found that I use it quite a bit...saves quite a bit on data as opposed to streaming.
LOL, sorry that I veered so off topic, haha. /END OF RANT
I am very much looking forward to using the new Note 8.0!

I suspect the a good chunk of the additional cost here is the license for the Wacom digitizer and related technology. Samsung is being extremely aggressive in their pricing and product diversity as a way to combat Apple, so I don't think they would risk letting a well loved brand like Apple undercut them without reason.

Agree, but Do you think that even more diversification would help Samsung?
I think they should think of introducing a Note 8.0 sans the digitiser. Then they can really target the iPad Mini. It would still be a great product as many online reviews (Engadget) claim so.
That would be the true spiritual successor to the 7.7

A NOTE TO SAMSUNG.
Your recent launch of your two new phones,The Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus did not give you the edge over Apple here are the reasons why.,
-no Micro Sd slot
-no external battery
Now I can live with these two choices as I realize that internal memory is much faster than external memory and the non-removable battery is not a big deal.
But,you did not stop there instead you decided that your going to push the S6 Edge Plus as your main flagship phone in two memory sizes 32/64gb and in the color black and make the Note 5 available in Black only and one size 32gb here in Canada. Last but not least some carriers did not received any phones at all and where in the dark as to when and If they would receive stock of the Note 5 in the 64gb size
I have always been under the impression that as a consumer that pays for the product I get a choice in this matter. Samsung does NOT decide what I want.
In the end have comes out on top as “THE PLUS WINNER”
They deliver across the world to multiple countries along with different models of phones in various memory sizes.
In closing I have purchased the S2/3/4 and the Note ¾ and was planning on buying the Note 5(64GB)
Until you can deliver phones in Canada like Apple does I will take my money elsewhere.
This is “THE NEW NOW.”
Yours truly.,
Greg Joplin

Did you actually send this to someone at Samsung?
We're in the same boat in Australia, only a 32GB version of the Note 5 is being released and it's $1099 which is crazy expensive for a model with entry-level storage. I've imported a 64GB model from a Hong Kong retailer, I believe they got their stock from Singapore. Ended up paying less and I get double the storage and I get it 2 weeks earlier to boot.
No one from Samsung is going to see it here.

32gb is plenty plus you have the cloud!! Seriously, 32gb may be sufficient for some, but damn at least give people some sort of option. I feel for those not able to get the 64gb, that would absolutely be a deal breaker for me.

My point is I want a 64GB Note 5
The vast majority will be buying the 32gb. You do have to realize Samsung got these Note 5s out REALLY fast after launch. They probably could only manage to get enough 64gb models to certain markets (like the US) at this point. In Samsung's position, what's better? Get 32gb to market where it will end up to be the most popular model or sit on it and be nice to enthusiasts like us? While I agree it is frustrating to only see 32gb and black only in the Canadian market, I hear other color options and 64gb will become available in mid-September
It is your providers that decided to carry only 32gb rather than samsung being somehow short. Traditionally even when they launched with multiple versions of the phone, they soon discontinued the higher model due to lower sales. Pay attention how long will they have 64gb edge+ available.
Note 4 ?
Ordered a 64GB unlocked Note 5 on eBay from Taiwan.
I'll report back how the reception is without band 4 (1700) AWS. The phone still supports 700, 2100, and 2600 MHz.. hopefully that'll be sufficient
"Hurr durr, 32gb is plenty when you have the cloud"
Sure, if my wireless carrier let me have 20gb data traffic a month. Or if I was always connected. Me and my 100+ mobile users all live/work in Northern Alberta. They spend their entire day taking pictures of wellsites and oilfield structures. And with a 16MP camera. those pictures can be 5-8mp a piece in basic JPG mode. I've got 21gb usable space, so without including email, social media, and movies/music, I'd fit about 20, 000 photos on a Note 5. That sounds like a lot until you realize my guys might be in the woods without cell service for 3 weeks at a time.
Its just .... just a BAD device that USE to be a professional product that is now just a poor excuse for an iPhone 6+. At least I can get 64GB of storage on an iPhone, even if the OS is built for toddlers.
How True
Greg
It's not Samsung. It's the Carriers. My buddy is a purchasing director for ******* (will not disclose because i have been asked to) and he said the previous phones that offered 64gb didnt sell well enough (of course that 100$ more for something that cost 3$ more to make is ludacris) and a lot of them had to be kept dormant until somebody bought them, or some promotion came to push the stock rotation. He said canada is a small market, we might be close to 35 million, but no more than 3000-5000 note 5 will be sold in the first month, all carriers taken into account. So Samsung consults with the carriers before production starts and they agreed that all W8 models would be 32gb black...and when the initial order will be sold, they will introduce a new color to boost sales once again, and possibly at the end of the 1st year cycle, a new capacity.
Honestly, everybody is getting ripped off with storage. It literally doesnt cost more than 25$ for a 128GB memory chip, and yet, they will charge us hundreds of dollars. The difference in build cost between a 32gb and 64gb model is not more than 10$...they should stop that storage BS and start to realistically reflect pricing. Samsung is the biggest manufacturer of flash storage on the planet, they even have a 2TB SSD that retails for 700$ and you can easily find 1TB versions for 300$. So why do they keep charging us 200$ more for 128 measly gigs?

Also, you cannot compare Samsung to Apple. Apple is a dictator when it comes to selling their phones. There are many accounts over the years of carriers backing out of their deals with Apple because of their lack of compassion. Their dictatorship has one or two perks though...it allows them to skip carrier verification and push updates to all customers at the same time through their servers. For the rest of us, it drives prices higher, their products almost never have price drops, they almost never offer any deals or bundles...
Only one company has been able to make Apple fold, China Mobile that has taken years to negotiate a deal with apple, mostly on their terms, but when you have the biggest market in the world under one roof, i guess being a dictator doesnt always work
I've been a Note2/3/4 user and had planed on the Note 7 (which didn't happen), and ended up buying the G5 last year. I'm looking to go with the S8 (or S8+) Unlocked, but not sure which version would be the better one to go with. The "U" that is the US Unlocked with the 835, or the "F" International with the Exynos?
I had heard that with last years S7 Unlocked model, that the "F" international version was better with updates, but Android Pay/Samsung Pay would not work in the US, while the "U" US model took forever to get updates and Nougat, but the Pay programs worked.
Right now, BestBuy has a 24 monthly payment promo on the S8/S8+ SM-G950U Unlocked US models, which would work out better for me, but am worried about timely updates. BHPhoto has the "F" International units, though no payment plan, but those may get faster updates, and root/custom roms, but Pay apps might not work in US.
Thanks for any help & suggestions.
You did a really great summary. Actually, right now I got this question too. Which unlocked version did you get? Any feedback?

I initially got th S8+ Unlocked model G955U1 last week from Samsung's eBay page for 700+tax=$750.
But after using it for a few days, the Plus was a bit larger and heavier than I wanted. Then I saw that the Samsung.com site had both S8 models for sale and offered $200 for any (older) smartphone trade. So I ordered the S8 G950U1 and the price including tax was $450 (going to trade in my old Verizon Note 2, since they only sell for about $100...even though I wouldn't mind keeping it since I have the Note 2/3/4.)
I got the S8 in yesterday, and more please with it's size and weight than the Plus, so will be sending it back.
Samsung Pay works with both of them (being a U model) in the US. I had decided not to risk a $700+ phone without knowing for sure is Samsung Pay would work in the US on the International F models.
One of the most important things to look for is the freq/bands of supports.
Example. I have T-Mobile, the US unlocked version supports the carrier bands just fine. While the International unlocked uses all the same LTE bands for T-Mobile, but not the AWS freq for 3G. With T-Mobile refarming their Spectrum across the US you might run into an area that your phone doesn't support for 3G as a fallback or LTE if neither are available.
I went for the International version since its the most developed here on XDA and the exynos variants always get updates before the SD ones.
Still new to the Samsung community and trying to figure out everything, but wondering around the forums helps
I've had a 950F for about a month and picked up a 950 U under the new Sammy promotion. Came in yesterday and very dissapointed with the storage results. Androbench started at the same time on both and the 950F finishes the test 7-8 seconds sooner than the 950U. SR 779 for the F only 549 for the U. SW 205 for the 950F, 142 for the 950U. Only bought the U to flash it with the AT&T CSC for VOLTE. Same programs on both and ran test 3 times with reboots, same results.

I'm not surprised. Exynos is Samsungs Creation. Theyre gonna optimize those devices alot better then SD variants.
They each have their strong points when compared, but the exynos are more inhouse developed so Samsung can build higher quality drivers.

That difference in memory speed is because of the one on the left using UFS 2.1 and the one on the right using UFS 2.0.
When I got my Unlocked S8+ U model in last week, I ran those tests, and the read was over 700MBs, meaning it was 2.1.
Yesterday when th S8 U came in, did the same tests, and read speed was a over 500MBs, meaning UFS 2.0.
There has been discussion that most all Plus models have 2.1 memory chips, the the S8 (regardless of it being a U, F, or Carrier Model) can either have 2.0 or 2.1.
AnTuTu Benchmark had a score of 161000 with the S8+ 2.1 memory and 160000 with the S8 2.0 memory. In the real world, I've heard the difference is pretty negligible.
Would I prefer having the faster 2.1? Sure, but I'm not going to return or exchange the S8 just over that.

I had seen that the F model can be flashed in Odin for one of the other countries, such as Australia or the UK (EE) to get Samsung Pay to work in the US.
If all things were equal (meaning the price), then I may have gone that route, but getting the S8 G950U1 for $425 before taxes was too good of a deal.

Agree, I paid $660 for my F but only $450 for the U with a junk trade in. Only bought the F for the option to root but I really don't see the need or at least a need that is greater than keeping KNOX un-tripped.
I'll also add that I'm showing slightly better LTE reception with the 950U on AT&T. -110 30 ASU on my desk with the F and -108, 32ASU with the U. Not much but at least better.

After using the S8+ last week, and now the S8, I kind of wish Samsung just had one S8 model size and split the difference for an even 6" screen.
I think that would of been ideal (for me).
Since I'm a long time Note user, I had thought about holding out for the Note 8, with dual cameras, but since it will be even taller than the S8+, that rules it out. In fact, I find my Note 4 (16:9) more manageable in one hand than the S8+.
FAUguy said:
That difference in memory speed is because of the one on the left using UFS 2.1 and the one on the right using UFS 2.0.
When I got my Unlocked S8+ U model in last week, I ran those tests, and the read was over 700MBs, meaning it was 2.1.
Yesterday when th S8 U came in, did the same tests, and read speed was a over 500MBs, meaning UFS 2.0.
There has been discussion that most all Plus models have 2.1 memory chips, the the S8 (regardless of it being a U, F, or Carrier Model) can either have 2.0 or 2.1.

According to the previous poll thread and more importantly the discussion here, I think the conclusion was:
All exynos S8 and S8+ will be UFS2.1 with Samsung flash
All Snapdragon S8+ will be UFS2.1 with Toshiba flash
All (US?) Snapdragon S8 will be UFS2.0 with Toshiba flash
Samsung made changes to their website description about the flash chip technology after this finding.
I saw this finding quieted down very smoothly, right after the worse issue with Huawei P10's flash chips. Samsung PR?
After this was found out, Samsung made a promise that all Chinese Mainland and Hongkong versions (both S8 and S8+) will be UFS2.1 despite using SD835.
It depends on what you're looking for. Samsung pay does work on the F variant, I'm using it as we speak. The F also has the ability to root for custom roms and has UFS 2.1
Does anyone know if Samsung's built in caller ID works on the F model?
U.S.A. 7X Owners..
Are you a little peeved that the BND-L24 U.S.A. variant only comes with 3/32 Ram/Storage.. while the rest of the planet gets 4/64 ?
Don't really care for the 7x in Black? in Red? or the Blue?
Maybe you prefer a nice Silver ? or perhaps a nice Gold colored 7x ?
Got an extra $50.00 or so bucks ?
Boy..... Do I have a deal for you.
Step Right Up !
And purchase your shiny new HUAWEI 7x !!!
That's Right...... *HUAWEI* 7x
You see.. in their infinite wisdom.. Huawei has now decided.. we kinda got SCREWED here in the good old U.S. of A. with our 3/32 variants..
So, they've seen fit to rectify that by throwning us the same bone they've thrown the rest of the planet.. in the form of one
*Honor Mate SE*
Which is nothing more than a rebranded 7x with 4/64 instead of 3/32...
Oh... and it comes in Silver & Gold instead of Black, Blue and Red.
Price looks to be $250.00.. instead of the $199.99 the 7x currently sells for now in the U.S.A.
Now... the Silver Lining in all of this is:
Will it LAUNCH with EMUI / OREO 8.0 ? .. the B192 update with Faical Unlock latest patches etc..
This one has me thinking.... (mainly for resale and moving up from Honor's *Sub-Brand* title/ status) it MIGHT just be worth the $50.00 to make the switch..
If You Like.. Read more about it here: https://www.pocket-lint.com/phones/...e-is-a-rebranded-honor-7x-destined-for-the-us
Same Old Same Old..

Nah...
Same Old Same Old......... Nougat at launch.. (and god only knows when 8.0 will finally get to the U.S.of A... always last on the country's to get it list) .. so same old 7x not worth extra cash for 1Gig of Ram and 64Gb of storage.
And no guarantees (TeamKirin excepted) of any more Developer Support.
The View 10... or the Tried & True OnePlus 5T ( and OnePlus 6 in June.. ) seem to be the Sweet Spot.. Price and Interest wise at XDA (The View 10 is pretty damn strong out of the box.. and gets a lot of press)
The ONLY Budget device now that Without Question will either launch with Oreo 8.0 ( 8.1 ? ) OR get MAJOR Developer's onboard is the Motorola G6 Plus with that Snapdragon 630 engine.
Living in the middle east, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, I bought a brand new 4gb ram 64gb internal storage for just $265 including delivery.
It is unfair you get bummed for certain products but so do many others. Places like Brazil, Columbia and parts of Eastern Europe get f***ed the hardest when it comes to tax and sky high prices on almost everything especially electronics.
The US is usually the cheapest when it comes to cheaper pricing when it comes to electronics among many other items. Computer components and such are the cheapest in the US compared to any other place, so in a way consider yourself lucky.
In the UK, we get f***ed hard when it comes to taxes on pc hardware.

Yeah.. I Feel You On The Taxation...
When it comes to Chinese phones in the U.S.A. , we are ALWAYS last on the list when it comes to getting updates.
I don't know if politics plays a part in this or not.
Whenever Huawei / Honor figures out how to make EMUI / OREO 8.0 work on other devices besides their Flagships.. and actually starts the regional rollouts..
The U.S.of A. will be the VERY LAST region to get this major update.. That's where your region has a HUGE advantage.
We all know, China will take care of their own 1st.. Then will come India, Euoupe / UK, Mars & Venus.. then they'll take a weeks vacation..... then, they'll come back and start rolling it out 1 city at a time to the good old U.S.of A.
It's been almost a month now (well.. 3 weeks for sure) since the 1st regions started receiving the B192 / Facial /AR update.
Has your region received that update yet?
Someone (I guess on here from Honor USA ) posted in one of my threads that, the U.S.A. would start receiving EMUI / OREO 8.0 in April...
I'll bet $$$ out of my Next Device Fund that we will get no sniffs of that update in April...
May / June is much more realistic for the U.S. of A. if how they are rolling out the B192 update is any indication of how they do business.
I think I'll wait and see what the Mate SE holds. I've been wanting a 7x for a while now, but Amazon is still showing out of stock. I'll either give it a couple months and see how the reviews are or see what the SE brings. Maybe they'll fix the Bluetooth/wifi issue and other nit picky things.
You Definitely Have Options..

Sir.. You Know You Can Purchase The Device Directly From Honor's Website...
https://www.hihonor.com/us/index.html... if you are in the U.S. of A... I think, if you are a Prime Member you will have a little longer return period buying it through Amazon.. I had another thread where someone was told they could not even return their Amazon purchased deivce.. I posted proof that I did indeed return my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 back in August with no issues whatsoever.. I am a Prime Member so, that may have had something to do with it.. but keep that in mind as oppsed to buying it directly from Honor.. which has a 15 day return period.
To be honest.. Unless you prefer Gold / White or Silver/ Black to the Honor colors.. It's The EXCACT Same Phone.
I thought maybe.. just maybe by it not being the "Sub-Brand" it would launch with 8.0 and all the other goodies already installed...
No Such Luck... It's the same phone with the Huawei branding.
3 other devices to Strongly consider...
The Honor View 10 ( My 1st choice  )
The OnePlus 5T/ 6
The Motorola G6 Plus (should be unveiled at MWC in a few days)
Either of these would be a worthy investment.. the 7x is too.. but if you are into Developer Support, these devices are going to get considerbly more attention than the 7x.
If you alread have the funds for the 7x.. and don't seem to mind waiting a couple of months more... it would give you time to slip another few hundred away and have the option to get a 6GB / 128 (rumored) full boat Moto G6 or the incredible Honor View 10 or OnePlus 5T / 6
One of those 3 will be my next option for sure.
P.S.
No Bluetooth or Wi-Fi issues on my 7x whatsoever.. Actually, I have no Mechanical or Software Glitches period.
But my 7x is Completely Stock with a locked bootloader. :good:

Thank you for all the info. Currently using a moto e4 and it's been doing fine except I want tether capability on cricket. Moto locks that down. I had the G5+ and liked it.
I'd like to purchase on Amazon for the reason you listed. In USA and am a prime member so return should be no problem.
I used to unlock/root all my phones but haven't the past couple, haven't seen a need to.
My contenders right now are the 7x (mate SE), zte pro v8, or zte axon 7 mini.

I can't bring myself to get gold lol. I purchased a zte v8 pro to try. If I don't like I'll return it and get a 7x.
Since this is just a rebranded Honor 7X has anyone tried to root, bootloader unlock, and put TWRP on the Mate SE?
My question regarding Mate is who provides the software updates to the Device, Honor or Huawei.

This is my question as well. Just got a Huawei Mate SE and would like to root it..
You can also get your Huawei Mate SE via amazon here in the US. I bought my honor 7x (didn't want to spent 50 bucks more for a budget phone) through amazon and so far so good.
