I don't have access to the os or the recovery menu, I can only access download mode.
It also will only show that "An error has occurred while updating the device software".

when flashing twrp I get a different error with vbmeta:
I'm not sure what I need to do. any help is welcomed.
I failed like this and I think ( and this is only my educated guess . . . ) that Android 12 has something new and it is vbmeta and it really hoses things badly. Thank you 12.
When I went back to samfrew and got the last Android 11 and tried it all again . . . and it worked.
Oh, the youtube video I found was borked and led to BIG confusion !
The youtube video maker had his heart in the right place but . . . borked is borked.

Hello
I'm not sure if I'm doing this right so any help would be grateful. I currently have stock firmware installed and I'm trying to remove root from my phone. I searched around and it was suggested to reinstall stock firmware.
So I downloaded a stock rom from this thread, (UK_20H3G_20G900FXXU1ANE2_G900FH3G1AND4_H3G.zip - 1411.3 Mb - (because I'm on Three)) downloaded Odin, ran Odin, stuck my phone into download mode, loaded the firmware into Odin by clicking the PDA button, checked Auto Reboot and then hit start.
Here are the results;

If you have already flashed Lollipop it won't work. If not, try another cable or port on your PC.

Hi, we bought phone for a staff in our company, but he ended up stealing moneys, and got sacked, We got his phone back, but it was locked.
What I did was factory reset, when u switch off and on holding 3 buttons, it went to enter new details and setup, but it still giving me "This device was reset. To Continue sign in with a google acc that was previously synced on this device." on last step.
I tried to flash it with stock firmvare, but odin fails every time when i press start, may b b cuz usb debug is not on.
Is it any way to unlock it?.
We got no contact with sacked staff
Btw. phone is Samsung Galaxy A8 (asia), but the process should be similar.
Thank You

Actually, its the new security feature in android by google....
So that if your phone is lost, no one can take advantage of it. Your device will require the old password even if a different binary is installed on your device....
All you can do is go to samsung service centre and ask them about this problem...
Hit thanks if you find my post useful...

You may get better assistance in the 910T forums since the 910T3 is the same as the T but with Int. radio. https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile. Good luck
Thank you very much for your input. But in my N910T3 seems there is no such "block reactivation" option under my mobile....
My one is N910F. Maybe there are some differences. Maybe you can try to search about this block reactivation on the web for your model.
My issues were with the recovery but I don't remember if I put 1st the root and after the recovery or the opposite

Yes, it's in security as I wrote in my 1st post.
Yeah. Often the translations aren't' exact word translations but translations of the meaning.

I have a N910T and use to have a N900A. With both phones I had the same error. Only way I could flash firmware was to remove the .md5 from the file. Example: change Samsung_Firmware.tar.md5 to Samsung_Firmware.tar
