Update not listed in software - "n910cxxu2dvh2" - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently I reinstalled the system and I did not have time to install SU and an update popped out. Unfortunately, I can't download this version anywhere, either there is a problem or this version does not exist. Can anyone help me with this? The phone is SM-N910C / XEO.

How can you download 1 and 4 files soft for this?

@Tomasz Dulak did you try with old samfirm version?
That doesn't work any longer as Samsung changed its server addresses afaik.
Try SamFirm_Reborn_0.3.6.3.

Still the same :/

May work when you switch to manual and fill the fields below with entries needed.
Had that on a VZW phone as well.
But afaik that will only work if it's the latest stock and for me it seems there's a later one:
XEO-N910CXXS2DRI2-20181204144801.

I also fail to enter manually.
Well, mine isn't there at all, and it's dated August 12, 2022, looking at the kernel version after the update. It's just that someone posted an update after 4 years.
The last one available for today is: "N910CXXS2DRI2", but when you install it, you get the update to "N910CXXS2DVH2".

@Tomasz Dulak How's the progress? Did you flash it with DRI2, or stays with DVH2?

I haven't installed N910CXXU2DVH2 patch yet.
I'm trying to add a Samsung account and receive an error like:
Code:
403

Can anyone log into Samsung account without this fix?

@ze7zez
I have N910H here and flashed system.img, boot.img, and csc_sec.zip from XEO DRI2 N910C firmware. There's no problem in adding Samsung account.
The problem that I'm facing is that, I couldn't get the DVH2 OTA update, since it will throws me the message of "The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way..."
It may be fixed if I also flash the bootloader from N910C or might also tweak it, but that's such a painful thing to recover if it went brick, I don't want to risk it yet.

Thanks for the information.
I will insert the SIM card and check again.
I wouldn't risk flashing the bootloader from the N910C to the N910H. Are you sure the system will boot?

@ze7zez
No I'm not sure, I've done a hex compare and they are different. There are 90 out of 1,034,240 bytes of param.bin and 9487 out of 1,632,800 bytes of sboot.bin that is different from N910H bootloader.
That would be tedious trying to decode what makes it differs and thus tweak it..
In the end, I'm stuck with DRI2 firmware. I'd like to try DVH2, but there's no software available that I know at the moment that is able to download it.
Just ask help here again if you need help on your Samsung account.

I had this same issue on a Tab S I bought off Ebay and it was luckily solved by downgrading to 5.0.2 Lollipop.

[I337M] Samsung S4 Nand Reset Failure. [Thanks Samsung]

Okay, so here's my predicament:
Updating my S4 to 5.0.1 failed, so I flashed it with the proper one, but I accidentally clicked Nand Reset All, and now, this get's funny, I can't write or flash any official updates or anything, it get's to this:
Nand Reat/Write failed.
BUT HOLD THE HORSES, THERE'S MORE:
My phone says: There as a problem with the firmware, please use recovery in Kies and try again.
And it says a bunch of stuff on the top left.
If you need screenies, I am happy to provide a full video.
EDIT:
So, I got this little error now:

For Re-Partition you require a PIT file. The PIT file has to be specific to the internal storage of your phone.
So the first flash (the one with nand erase all) was successful and any subsequent flash failed?

Really? Damn, well, I guess I could grab it, but I now don't see the firmware issue and now see the S4 Bottscreen, but now I can't boot anymore, I'm thinking of reinstalling adb toget rid of this pesky libsub error.
I'll update soon.
I don't know wht I did, but it works, and it's updating now to the newest firmware. I'll update when I wake up on how I fixed it.
This is what I used to restore it to it's normal capacities:
Guys, Kies 3 has a way of re-flashing your device to the latest official firmware for a certain model with a certain Samsung serial number, i.e. even if your device is bricked and Kies 3 cannot detect it, you enter it's model and Samsung serial number and Kies 3 will download and flash the firmware for you, all you need to do is open Kies 3, power up your device and connect it to your PC, you will then open Tools menu and select Firmware Upgrade and Initialization, if Kies 3 can detect your phone it will show you the version of the firmware that will be downloaded and flashed then you will proceed as instructed (very simple procedures), if not you will be asked to enter just your model (for example GT-N8000) and your Samsung Serial Number (usually starts with R can be found on the sticker under the battery) then it will show you the latest official firmware for your device and if you proceed it will download and flash it for you, but be careful (this will be noted by Kies 3 too) you should get a full backup of your phone as it may wipe out everything on the internal storage in the process if it's required (i.e. a bricked phone to the extent of wrong partitioning that lead to loss of imei), needless to say this process depends on your internet connection (it downloads prerequisite files and firmware files which are relatively large), from little experience I have, it's best that you use the conventional official method for any product rather than unconventional ways at the beginning to solve any problem related to any product, if it doesn't help then try your best with any other method that might help you (by the way I tried this with more than one model of Samsung smart phones, tablets and notes and it always ends up solving the problem, in some cases with my friends devices reviving the device again after being totally bricked), hope this helps .
Note: all devices I used this method with were original devices straight from Samsung (International Versions, Unbranded & Unlocked), so the firmware comes straight from Samsung (no modifications done by operators / carriers) so I'm not sure if it will work for other devices (Fake Cloned, Locked or Branded devices with carriers specific settings)

It's good to know this.
Unfortunately there are a lot of Frankenstein S4s out there. What this means is that the phone has been repaired with mismatched parts from other S4 models, and this may lead to apps reporting a wrong phone model and other errors.

Yeah, but mine's bought from my phone company and never broke internally, no hardware damage or anything like that, but it now bricked itself again, so I ran into another problem, it doen't show up in emergency recovery in Kies, I don't see the phone. Hmm, 'll keep trying and update the thread when I've figured this out.

Why are you trying to flash a 4.4.2 rom? You said you were on 5.0.1 (or at least your tried to flash that) so you probably can't flash a 4.4.2. rom.
Download a Lollipop rom and try flashing it again.

Please help me with my S7 Edge SM-G935F

Hello everyone,
My brother has just offered me a s7 edge SM-G935F / 32G, Rom stock without operator that he used for 2 months after purchase.
My pb is that after resertting this phone, then reboot, I am asked the google account with which this phone was syncing (it's of my bro). Normal!
Then I enter the data account google of my brother and then Passwords ... and there, a verification code sent him that communicates me by sms after receiving.
But helas, every time I get it, the phenomenon is repeated and so I can not use the phone for use!
My idea was to flash the last ROM Stock...but no way, the pb is always the same...the warning message !
For info, the dl and recovery mode are operational but I am without root so without TWRP and other ++++
However, the dev mode of the system is not activated too ...
Thank you for your help...

You are facing FRP issue which is factory reset protection security feature by google..So everytime you will reset your device, you will be askd for the same google account which was previously added to device..Are you on marshmallow or nougat? IF your phone is functioning well then enable developers option by pressing build no for 7-8 times from software info you will find in about device from settings..After enabling developers option enable Oem unlocking..Hope this will help you..You can also flash latest stock firmware for your device usinh odin after enabling Oem unlocking from developers option
@DroidHackeR,
I'm in nougat because i have flash the latest Rom Stock yet with odin (4 files) + factory restet!
But the pb is the same...because i can't enable Oem unlocking from developers option by pressing build no for 7-8 times from software info
I have no access to do that, My procedure stops until the moment to put the login of gmail ... I do not go beyond that after the flash !
Another idea pl?
How can i enable Oem option directly by odin for example?
I can't flash custom rom because of it too...
Ths for your help.

Just download latest 7.0 stock firmware for your device from sammobile.com though your already on nougat..firmwares there are updated according to security patches timely..so my suggestion is download latest nougat firmware for your model and country and flash usinh odin as described above..You will boot normally...If after flashing latest nougat if your device stuck at Samsung logo i.e. called bootloop..Press volume up+power +home button, you will boot into stock recovery..from there choose wipe data/factory reset option..you will boot up normally..

Samsung TAB A SM-P580 FRP Bypass

Can anyone help me with this issue?
I have factory reset this device and reflashed with JOdin3. The device has been rooted in the past. I got into this mess by turning on FRP accidently after rooting. When I turn on device I am taken to language settings, then wifi settings, then to terms and conditions, after I am faced with Google verification.
I do get a notice on start-up... Notice states:
"An unauthorized attempt has been made to reset your device to factory default settings. Connect to a Wi-Fi or mobile network to verify identity."
Any ideas on how to bypass FRP?
firstly you have to download Bypass Samsung Google account verification app apk.
1. then, Copy the apk file to your USB.
2. Using the OTG cable connect your USB to phone.
3. Once connected, it will popup the file manager app and install the apk app.
4. You should now have access to phone settings.
5 .Scroll down and find Backup and reset.
6. Tap Factory data reset and Reset device or Erase everything which will erase the following from your device:
Google Account
System and app data
Device settings
Downloaded apps
Music, Pictures and all other user data.
7 .Finally your phone will reboot normally and may take some time while booting and that is normal after resetting your device.
This information may be helpful for you.

Try to downgrade firmware, mine is PH6 , downgrade to Hong Kong firmware which has lower build.
Then you can bypass FRP easily, it can be done within 3 minutes
If you go to YouTube and do a search for "bypass google account samsung tab a" about 15 video's pop up walking you through it.
Just wade through the results as they are mixed in with the phones also.
Dont feel like typing ??
Click ME I will take you there.

Google watched and blocked these methods already.
Try to activate FRP in your tablet by hard reset and see which one you can bypass
You should be specific as most are not working with current build.

This method works with build PL4, but not with the older build PG1 or Android 7, QE7 from Germany.
Build PG1 I have to downgrade firmware to bypass FRP. Tested with SM-T280 and SM-T560, this method doesn't work either because there is no Assist to open a browser. This build PG1, it has to be downgraded or upgraded to work with a certain method, I prefer upgrade as I don't have to do the update later.
Depending on your build, not every method will work. The statement you read everywhere : " work with all models " is not true from my experiments with FRP bypass.

(US) Huawei Mate SE - No Oreo update option on phone

I just recently purchased 3 of these phones and 2/3 had Oreo already ready to be setup. The 3rd however only had Android 7.0 on it.
I checked under settings for a System Update option, but couldn't find anywhere on that phone a spot to check for system updates. It did however say that it was up-to-date on system patches (Jan 2018).
Huawei support recommended that we factory restore the phone; which we did but still no option to check for system updates, etc.
Any idea on how I can get this phone to update?

So you went to settings and system updates? And selected check for updates? And it shows system is up to date message?

Was phone used, or "refurbished" cause it sounds like it has been wiped out on the /data files. If there is no update app.
It was supposed to be in /data/hw_init folder somewhere.
No, no option to check for updates. What can I do to get that folder that you mentioned? Is there an 8.0 image I can download to factory restore from that?

Can you post a screenshot of the settings menu when scrolled all the way to the bottom?

Can confirm. Having the same issue. The system update app is also missing. Tried installing an extracted apk from another phone that was already on oreo but it failed. HiSuite can't find any updates either.
More info: Unlocked bootloader+twrp and what I thought was a "stock" rom. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay, I didn't notice your question.
Here is guide to install update manually.

If you need help selecting correct update file for your model, let me know
Oreo update and DC Unlocker
I have an Honor 7X and it has caused me incredible amount of stress and waste of time trying to get Oreo. I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT.
I had been trying to use the software updater to check for Oreo for months and it always said I had the latest software - which isn't true. I also used Hi Suite to no avail. I just registered my phone with Huawei and it updated. I am not sure if your third phone is unregistered, but make an account with them and check. I wasted so much time, bricked my phone, paid for DC Unlocker, tried to flash Oreo stock etc... finally I have it the legitimate way.
Now, the next thing I would like to do is install an Oreo custom rom - but I am not paying more money to DC Unlocker. If anyone wants me account details for the DC Unlock to recover their bricked phone, I have 2 days left and will provide info.

[Solved] SM-G950F - My device is not certified - Factory defaults ROM

Hello all,
I'm having the Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950F) the device with the Exynos CPU.
Everything worked fine with Android 9.0 and the One UI 1.0 until I decided to install TWRP and a custom ROM using Odin software.
Lots of things with a custom ROM isn't working correct.
Such as the NFC, apps for e-banking, Netflix etc. I didn't root my device.
So, I need to go back to factory defaults.
I downloaded the proper firmware from sammobile and installed it using Odin.
I extracted the zip file and followed the instructions from sammobile's site.
1. Extract the 5 firmware files (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
2. Open Odin
3. Power off your phone
4. Reboot Phone in Download Mode
Connect USB-cable to your computer. Hold down Volume up and Volume down at same time. While holding down, connect the USB-cable to your phone
5. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). Do not tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F. Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
Click the start button to begin flashing the firmware update
6. Click the start button to begin flashing the firmware update

My phone is working, but now I'm having an issue with my Google account.
My device is not certified.
I found instructions online to fix it but none is working.
What I'm missing here?
The method i used is the proper one or not?
Thank you in advance.
Read this... probably a Samsung Experience center at Best Buy be able to sort it out.
On my Samsung's I never touch the firmware unless there's corruption (not happened so far). Don't even update/upgrade it. Zero issues.
Thank you @blackhawk for your instant reply.
I have done this a few days ago.
The uncertified message is displayed in Google Play settings.

I have used the Device ID app in the device registration website by Google.
When I'm trying to paste my Google Services Framework Device ID the box is turned into red as the screenshot below and a pop up message appears with Value already registered.
The list contains two entries. I don't know what these are regarding.
I'm also having an Android TV box with the same Google account.
Gmail, Google Photos, Google Drive and other Google stuff is working, but Google Pay & Netflix is not working.
I tried also clear the cache and data from Play Store app.
Is there anything else i can do?
You're welcome.
Gookill is a mess. If it's generating any error code messages look them up.
Try deleting the Google account on the phone, reboot and set it up again... I hope this works.
I have done this too.
I removed the Google account, I forced stop the Play Store. I cleared the cache and data. I rebooted my phone and I signed to Google. The message had gone in Store's settings. I tried to access the Google Wallet (Pay) or Netflix with no luck!
The message appeared again!

As I said before, I deleted data and cache.
I don't know..

Hi bro,
Go to setting and turn on developer option by pressing 4to5 times of build number and go back to developer option and turn off OEM Unlock thats it simple.. now better reset/restart your mobile then go and check play store play protection its show device is certified.

Is your bootloader unlocked? If you're trying to return to bone stock, you'll need to relock the bootloader to pass hardware attestation.
Or...
Root with Magisk and install the Universal SafetyNet Fix module.
