Thanks to the earlier thread with TLink versions, I updated my TLink to v2.0.12.
I've only tested the below on this version, so its best to grab it from there. Additionally I only have Android, so this is tested on Android Auto only.
It turns out that TLink reads a 'hidden' configuration file in order to initialize a few things. This configuration file allows us to specify both the screen and video parameters.
More importantly for Android Auto, we can also set the pixel density, much like Headunit Reloaded which enables split mode in Android Auto.
An example configuration for my 2000x1200 high resolution TS10 headunit is as follows:
INI:
#channelId
dingwei
#Configuration
AAUTO_DISPLAY_VIDEO_WIDTH=1920
AAUTO_DISPLAY_VIDEO_HEIGHT=1080
AAUTO_DISPLAY_VIDEO_DENSITY=238
#AAUTO_DISPLAY_VIDEO_FPS=25
CARPLAY_FULL_SCREEN_DISPLAY=true
#CARPLAY_IAP_PATH=
CARPLAY_DISPLAY_VIDEO_WIDTH=2000
CARPLAY_DISPLAY_VIDEO_HEIGHT=1200
#CARPLAY_SCREEN_TOUCH_WIDTH=
#CARPLAY_SCREEN_TOUCH_HEIGHT=
#CARPLAY_SCREEN_MM_WIDTH=
#CARPLAY_SCREEN_MM_HEIGHT=
#MPU_STATUS_BAR_HEIGHT=
#SPEEDPLAY_CONFIG_FILE_PATH=
#SPEED_PLAY_MODE_SUPPORT_DEFAULT=
The configuration file should be created at /data/local/tmp/suding/sdcf and should have 777 or a+xrw rights.
I was able to copy the file into the right location using Terminal Emulator for Android, but there may well be better methods.
If you are going the terminal emulator way, type the following commands. This is assuming you placed your sdcf file in your Downloads folder on the headunit.
Bash:
cd /data/local/tmp/suding/
cp /storage/emulated/0/Download/sdcf sdcf
chmod a+xrw sdcf
After this your can start TLink and you should see the changes. If you do not see any changes, TLink was already started and you should probably reboot the headunit.
Looking forward to people testing for the best optimized values or easier ways to update the configuration file.
Great work!

Technically you can put any value you want in the width and height attributes. Although I can't test, and really don't know what Android Auto will do on a vertical layout.
In short TLink tells your phone what the video projection stream attributes are (Android Auto is just a video stream) and your phone then sends this stream.
Worth trying on your vertical display to see what happens.
i have tried with tesla type screen but i couldnt find correct resolution. screen has 768x1024 res but when i set it AA looks awfull. it becomes like compressed from long sides. and icons got bigger.
Can you please put some screenshot of Android Auto after this change?

Bit older photo, because now it switched to the new Coolwalk UI. But after the changes I get Hi-DPI full edge to edge display in Android Auto.
(Note, I had to remove some identifying text on the navigation, so some areas are blurred on purpose).

I have installed the terminal emulator from the playstore.
Created a text file named it sdcf with the content from the example in the post, starting with "ini:", copied it to the download folder and tried the comands.
The cd command failed saying there is no such folder...
Can you please provide a bit more details about how to generate the configuration file and how to copy it to the destination folder?
Can you also please attach your configuration file?

The exact contents of my file are documented in the initial post. I've attached the same sample file here, change the values as needed.
The cd command will fail if you have never ran TLINK before or you are not running the TLINK version as linked above.
This mod not seems compatible with tlink5

I decompiled both the apk's and found the source for dw version is not obfuscated and could find where its loading the config file but the zlink5 source code has been totally obfuscated
All I can do to force AA to work in new UI is to change the resolution of my head unit to 1280x750 or higher with around 180 DPI to make the AA work in split screen mode.

Hi @darkvoid,
For this workaround, are you able to pinch zoom google maps while with TLink, compares to Headunit Reloaded? Because in headunit reloaded i able to pinch zoom the area.

I am absolutely new to Android, but since I have installed the android car screen in my old jeep, I just had to deep dive. The app that I have is Tlink but version shows 5.3.01 which is what is called TLink5 (all other forums mentions TLink versions 2.xxx so it is just my guess).
In my case I was using a file manager app to locate the path and file showing at the beginning of the thread. I have used my TS18 screen with this version of TLink for wireless CarPlay but the problem is that Waze maps show huge (everything in general looks too big, like the icons for CarPlay apps, etc). There are just 4 columns instead of 5, so other than the screen size, how do u setup this TLink in terms of screen size? What other parameters could I adjust? Thanks...

Have you been able to pinch and make it smaller (Waze or Google Maps)?
Thanks
Thank you so much @darkvoid this has changed my head unit experience so much!
Unfortunately, the pinch to zoom isn't working for me.
I got the code change to work on my TS10.1.1 HDPI 360 head unit running T-Link 2.0.12
I fiddled a bit with the settings that you provided.
Tried changing the AA resolution to the natural resolution of the screen 2000x1200, but that failed! I now know AA can only go up to 1920x1080 (so note for anyone else looking at that)
The only thing I ended up changing was AAUTO_DISPLAY_VIDEO_DENSITY=200
this made it so things appear smaller on the screen - more to my liking but to each their own I have a 10.5 inch screen
SMALLER NUMBER = Smaller text/Image (high res looking)
LARGER NUMBER = Enlarged text/image (low res looking) - if you go too high you lose the side panel
here are some screenshots of what it looks like for me still waiting on Coolwalk to roll out, hopefully it's soon.
I'm in a right-hand drive country so the side panel is on the left.
With Waze - No map on the side when other app is set to main.
With Google Maps - it shows the map on the side panel
.

Great to hear its working. You are indeed correct that the AA standard (as well as the TLINK code) supports a maximum resolution of 1920x1080. Any value beyond that is ignored.
I have exposed all the values that I found in the config file that I supplied, both Android and iPhone. Nothing related to pinch to zoom functionality that I could see.
I'll test pinch to zoom on my radio today in both Google Maps and Waze and report back.

Hi!
I think many flash developers might be interested in this little tutorial:
To use the flash you only need to have installed ThrottleLauncher (see my signature) and flash player on your device. with this you will be able to include almost any flash movie on your today screen!!
For the test setup (that's attached) I've used TWolf flash located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1686755&postcount=5
How to include Flash inside throttle setups
You can include a flash on a row place inside any throttle launcher setup by using this code inside a page tag:
<throttleplugin name="Reloj" path="#$THROTTLE#\Plugins\Flash\FlashPlugin.dll" height="200" class="FlashPlugin.FlashThrottlePlugin">
<param name="movie" value="#$THROTTLE#/Setups/TwolfHomus/Homus.swf"/>
<param name="backgroundpath" value="#$THROTTLE#\Setups\TwolfHomus\fundo.jpg"/>
<param name="width" value="240"/>
</throttleplugin>
Note that:
- You can use flashvars param to pass the flash some info.
- By using the special param backgroundpath throttle will automatically save the background to the target file in jpg format.
- By using the width param you warrant the aspect ratio of the flash.
- The height and width will be automatically x2 in VGA devices.
Here you have a sample of a setup containing only a flash (no other things, just flash).
To install it:
- just uncompress the zip file on your ThrottleLauncher\Setups folder
-go to ThrottleConfig (startmenu > programs> ThrottleConfig) and select TwolfHomus on the combo box.
- Click on reload plugin.
To see a sample of including the plugin inside throttle check the config.xml file. And if you want to include any other just open that xml file and change the height values accordingly.
It's really simple!!
Hmmm...
Just to clear things up a little bit...
the swf inside has nothing to do with the tempus flash, it was just renamed that way so that it could be easily reused.
The myconfig.txt inside is there by mistake, it can be deleted. It was there problably just to show that the variables can be inside a txt or xml file.
The latest version of that swf file (with the calculator and drawing pad v2) can be tested or downloaded here:
http://www.zshare.net/flash/16502361b705848b/
As for developers out there, I'd advice to export things in flash 7, its a little slower but less buggier on windows mobile devices.
Dont do many animations or transparencies, the less the better for 200mhz devices.
Also carefull with images inside flash, this is for VGA devices too.

i mean when you have sms or mail then a notifier will apear.
sorry about my english.
vbeli, if APBilbo creates new FTCommands to handle the new SMS and SMS text, it is possible...
But dont expect a hole new way to see all your SMS, just the latest one.
Another example, a non-text flash clock:
Test it here: http://www.zshare.net/flash/166407995074428b/
You can set it to 12/24 hours by pressing the first digit or move it around by draggin any of the others.
The sourcecode is in the zip.
---edit---
The 3D clock had a bug in the 12-hour format, the second zip is the correct FLA.

Cool . Here you have it as an standalone ThrottleLauncher Setup .
For the FTCommands thing I plan to implement a way of reading any Registry entry so you will be able to get any info you want.... Also launching Message2Reg utility you will be able to get the messages info.

When I'm done implementing FTCommands for flash (only one supported now is Launch) it will be possible to design a full phone interface in flash .
I'm not thinking of a full theme yet because there are a lot of FTCommands that still need to be created by APBilbo, and that has to be made with time and with his pacience...
Right now the only one created (and a great one it is) is LAUNCH.
With it you can launch any aplication, thats how the current flash contact list makes the call.
There should be needed, FTCommands for example:
- Battery %
- Signal %
- Operator name
- Device free/full space
- Device free/full memory
- SD Card free/full space
- New SMS/MMS/email
- Text and sender name from that new sms
- New Call warning
- Lost call counter
- Contact list reading (name/picture/1st cellphone number)
- start menu reading
- Save to file (to save the settings)
With these you can start thinking of creating a nice theme. Then you'll have the problem of the battery drain, so you'll need to be both minimal on the animations and rich on details.
So for now i'll just keep posting some stand-alone "widgets" that can be easilly changed and put together for a future theme.
Analog clock:
Test here: http://www.zshare.net/flash/16664713385fbe1e/
Source included in the zip.
To drag press the right area of the clock, to change colours press the left area of the clock.
Next I'll make a test for a future 'NEW SMS' reader, much like the one in Diamond.
---edit---
Sorry, APBilbo... hadnt seen your answer yet when I posted...

YEAH ..... It would be .... dont know ... sometihing like: oooouuuuhhhh wwwweeeee ...
DO IT MAN .... DO IT !!!
SMS reader:
Sorcecode and files in the zip.
Font CygnetRound not included.
You can drag up and down the letter to read and click the bottom link to open the inbox (link not impremented).
Now all it need is FTCommands...
And another one...
Today image viewer:
This one isnt very usable, that is, i prefer the htc image viewer and this is in no way trying to compete with that, its just a nice way to (much like the diamond) have images scrolling on your today.
Press top/bottom images to scroll, or press up/down on your keypad.
In the future its supose to have some sort of magical FTCommand that reads the content of a pre-selected folder and lists the image names onto the flash as variables.
Love the SMS reader awsome job Twolf, will you have this for email as well?
APBilbo.. Twolf got these flas themes rokn, hopefully you can get this one down packed, loving the fellowship.
Thanks, well, the email is just a bigger sms with a subject and no picture, and the MMS is jus ta bigger picture with less text, lol...
it's all doable, even the end of the letter can be adjusted according to the size of the text.

Hi all,
I have lurked on this forum many times and have found it very useful especially in terms of my recent ROM update issues with my new Diamond .. which turned out to be the HK version - gah! .. but that is another story.
I just wanted to let people know that I have written a tool to show storage space use on your Windows Mobile in a TreeMap. There probably are other tools like this kicking around, but I couldn't find one that was any good.
Main Memory fills up pretty fast on the Diamond if your not careful to install absolutely everything to the storage card, and also set your default save location to the storage card.
The screen shot below is of the app and the Main Memory of my Diamond after I found and killed off the offending files.
Anyhow, if your interested you can mosey on over to the download page: here
Cheers,
James.

welcome to our forum. interesting tool!
Thanks for the welcome
I am curious to find out if anyone will find it useful. I have put it on several phones of guys I work with and they have found all sorts of garbage clogging up their phones.
Will give it a few days - maybe some people will try it out.
J.
thank you for the app/tool!
working fine and showing all...
in yr pic i can see you are using the app in portrait but it takes all the screen.
warning: this app is better viewed in landscape. this mean i have to stop tf3d and rotate the screen or use the gtool....in portrait the app is 1/3 of the screen. anything i should know? vga/qga related?
i can not see any garbage but this might be as a result of intensive use of SkTools and it's cleaning tools.
opera is a monster in device and iGO8 is the champion on my internal memory.
i'll take a better look in the evening.
Thanks for trying it out!
Yeah - I'm not handling the switch to landscape mode, however if you start the app while already in landscape mode it should be fine.
I'm using the HTC stock ROM in my Diamond so I'm not really sure how to disable TF3D and change into Landscape. However its fairly easy to change the code to handle the event and have it recalc for the new dimensions. Will put it in 1.1! Shouldn't take long
Cheers,
J.
thank you
will try this out on the rom im using when i get home later
Oh yeah - and something that is probably not obvious to everyone is that you can click on the folders to zoom-in and take a closer look at the folder contents.
Maybe I should underline the folder names or colour them blue or something ... Hmmm.. will have a think about that.

btw, disabling tf3d is easy. go to settings/personal/today/items and disable the tf3d like any other plug in . after that you''l have the "old" today screen.

Could you try 2 scenarios for me?
- Start up the app and then rotate to landscape before doing a scan
- Start up the app, do a scan and let it render, then rotate.
If there is a major time difference in the time taken to rotate between these two scenarios, then the problem is something to do with MobileMonger. Otherwise it must be something else. Hmm.

Yes - should be - I have DPI detection to change the font sizes up for devices less than 192 DPI ... i.e. 320x240. Obviously since there are less pixels the folder depth displayed can be less ... but on the up-side rendering is faster

I got mine pre-release from Hong Kong and since had a difficult time getting the official updated 1.93 stock ROM for it. (It came with 1.34!!!)
3 do not offer the Diamond as one of their supported phones, but I can tell you its works really well (Just have to get the URL for their Planet 3 service - which I have if you need it)
I'm on the $8(100MB) data plan and have push HTML email from Exchange 2007 enabled with full attachments - and it works very well. Small email takes 5 seconds from the time it hits exchange to then hit my phone.

Revamp panel UI as a navigation dashboard, instead of Garmin or TomTom navigation screen. Garmin/TomTom will be activated/displayed on demand.
I have posted something related to the topic in another thread, but thought I would now create a thread separately to discuss this topic, given that there's some progress being made over the weekends.
Of course, this panel was developed as a prototype, based on a personal need, as well as for me to examine what panel SDK has to offer. so it may not necessary be suitable/useful for others (different spin for different people!). But I do welcome feedbacks/ideas, if it helps to bring the panel development to a new height
After I owned the Xperia, and read about the concept behind the panel, I thought it was a very innovative idea. The point about panel, in my own interpretation, is that different people has different primary usage of the pda phone, and for each individual, the primary usage also changes based on a certain event or time of the day. For e.g, when I'm in the office/meeting, I uses the phone PIM software to ensure that I don't miss the next meeting. Once I'm taking my break, or having some personal entertainment time, I would be either watching a movie or listening to mp3. Each panel indicates the primary "theme" of the moment, and so I thought I could create something similiar when I'm in my car.
So there comes the idea of Navigation panel, since I always switch on my Garmin Mobile XT, while making sure that the volume is set to the maximum while my car's handsfree carkit is connected to my pda phone.
The prototype has shaped very well over the long weekend.
1. Garmin Mobile XT is the background application for the panel (could extend to other navigation applications such as TomTom or Mapking)
2. Automatically set the volume to maximum, turn on bluetooth (so that I can connect to my car's handsfree carkit), rotate the screen to landscape mode
3. Toggling panel (i.e. pressing of the panel button) will quit the Garmin application automatically. Quitting Garmin (i.e. pressing the 'X' button in the UI) will switch back to the panel list page (finally found the way to call the panel manager, but would be checking with nelsh to see if there's a better way to manage this)
4. Will automatically revert back to the original volume level, bluetooth mode and orientation once the panel is unloaded.
5. Could have turn on the display brightness to maximum and disable pin-lock, but at this point, I have not done anything since I don't need them yet grin.gif
here's the video clip of the prototype in action

, awesome to see ppl dev-ing panels
Cool...
would be nice if you could make a tomtom panel as well or make the panel configureable
Awesome idea!
Would be willing to test if you need testers.
Nice to see panels being developed..
why does it turn on and off bluetooth?

yes, that's the plan, but it means I have to start working on the configuration UI, which I have not done so yet. However, I do need the executable path of Tomtom, and the window name of Tomtom, so if you can provision these information, I can work on it later.

I hope I can release the alpha version this weekend for limited testing. The current panel is alittle flakey, so that's what I'm hoping to resolve in the next few days.

Probably more for my own requirements. I don't need to use bluetooth unless I'm in my car (so that the phone can connect to my BT car kit) In anycase, it doesn't turn off once the panel exits, it merely reset back to the last bluetooth mode prior to the navigation panel activation.
Would be looking at TomTom as well. If you could disable all notifications (maybe allow incoming calls) from poping up, and then return them back to the previous state on exit that would be REALLY useful.
well I'm just suggesting here, but perhaps it will be better if panels are for things that DON'T NEED to be able for multitasking ---> that is multi'panels', like TF3D and others UIs out there; because IMO it is useless if an important application had to be stopped just because we need to see our real today screen regardless what application is that.
so tomtom normaly installs here on german rom:
\programme\navigator\tomtom navigator.exe
window name should be "Tomtom Navigator"
Zenkinz, could you tell me where you got that System Status tweak for Xperia?
I found something called HTC Enlarge Title Bar in an old Kaiser post, but it doesn't seem to do anything on my phone.

Ok, I have added TomTom in my first beta release
it's now available for download btw, see the first post in this thread. You need to select the Navigation software in the panel option UI.

Get the HTC Enlarge Title bar for HTC HD
The panel does nothing here
I installed the cab, softrested the phone and chose the panel. Then I just see the Panel picture and the phone freezes. Not even the power button works, had to remove the battery.
Are there any programs that need to be installed for using the panel?
I use the TomTom Navigator which is installed on the Memory Card.
Update:
Okay, after a few more restarts the panel doesn't cause a crash anymore. But it does not seem to find the TomTom software, so everytime it starts it turns the screen as I wanted and then puts me back to the Today-Panel.
same thing here.... just the navigation panel screen but not going anywhere... I can open up both garmin xt and tomtom in its own program tho

did you guys run the option setting UI? Go to panel manager, select the tool button (at the bottom right corner), then select the nav panel, and click on the 'tool' icon.
Tried this out and the panel loads and the reverts back to my original panel. Does garmin need to be in a specific location for this to work? If so where? and what is the file name the panel is looking for?

It assumes garmin to be in \Garmin directory. Do you have \\Garmin\\Que.exe?
My garmin is on my storage card. and its in "\storage card\garmin\apps\wm\queppc.exe"
Can the location its looking at be changed? Also will it work if its a lnk file?

ok I set it and it does something... then jump back to today panel...
I have the QuePPC file in my storage card\garmin\wm folder and tomtom in my storage card\navigator folder.... neither 1 of them work and they both jump back to today panel
maybe I can try to copy the queppc to garmin and try it again
EDIT: that didnt work =P garmin wont even start XD
Convert your CPR file to different resolution by one click
Hello guys,
TPC asked me for one tool - he has made his own Titanium plugin and wanted to convert it to Fuze, that has got different resolution than Kaiser that he built it on.
I've written that app and here ya go:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It converts all Height, Width, Left, Top, ItemHeight and ItemWidth attribs in .cpr file. It isn't perfect because some values you'll have to adjust manually, but rewriting all thousands lines of code takes much longer.
It was built for Titanium CPR file, but it will probably work on any different CPR file (since it is all the same XML).
You need only .NET Framework!
If you like my work and want me to continue developing tools, Buy me a beer!
Bugfixed:
v1.1: Now it can handle . numbers
PLG Resizer - convert your .plg to all resolutions
If you like my work and want me to continue developing tools, Buy me a beer!
V1: without generate landscape function
V2: added generate landscape function + some anti-crash fixes
V2.1: fixed bug that when in file were both landscape + portrait modes tool crashed (occured only in v2, v1 was working fine)
WOW! This is ground breaking, I will let you know what I find! Thank you!
really good man . i'll give it a try
thanx
What a great idea! And I'm not thinking about CPR alone...
What do you think: Would it be possible to take a .plg-File in any resolution (and perhaps landsape and portrait) - and the converter would make the output-plg-File for all resolutions in one file?
A .plg is a part of the .cpr - so it could be possible - your parser should only recogonize then <layer>...</layers>-Tags to know where the Resolution-Parts are to find and where the new resolutions should be inserted (Multi-Select instead of Single-Select)
For fine adjustings - perhaps there are some further algorithm to find - I think, it would work without very good.
That would be totally great!
And thanx for sharing your cpr-converter
Micha
since the cpr are realy xml could be good also if prssible to resize aplication skins (full screen player, audio manager) anyway I'll try it
congrats on the new tool, it works great
ps...i want everybody to know that i came up with this idea because im LAZY lol. great work by ondraster for making this happen
Great work man, works awesome. I just used it to port my NeoTitanium skin to all resolutions & so far so good.
EDIT: Make sure the paths don't have spaces. This will cause an error.

Thank you - I'll send you one with VGA portrait and landscape - if the Converter could make a difference betweend portrait resizing and landscape resizing - that would be real cool.
after <layers> the marks of the resolutions are to find
after </layers> the new resolutions should be inserted, that it works in each .plg of each Plugin
Thanx in advance for trying

So When I got the beginning
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<plugin>
<name>JMLToday</name>
<position>0</position>
<layouts>
Then becomes <layout screenWidth="480" screenHeight="640"> where are screen width and height and then starts the layout for this resolution right? Eg if I'd want to have this file from 480x640 to 240x320, all numbers since <layout ..> would change to half in all Left, Top, Height and Width + screenWidth and screenHeight would change and this all will be added as new <layout ..>?

Yes - exactly
The .plg's - each "Layouts"-Section will added by installation from AT Plugin Installer in the different CPR's with the resolutions - so every .CPR is defined by the .plg's
OK, I'll look at it, but it will take some time, I'm pushed at work and also I'm pushed in Team Fortress 2 lol.
I understand - but would be real cool - whenever ( I think very much Plugins would use itfor their .plg's - no developer has all devices with all resolutions.. and Simulators... )
Meanwhile we can use the original CPR-Converter for the .plg's
Thank you
Micha
@MichelDiamond
I found out that there is in .plg both portrait and lanscape - are there always or aren't? Can I depend on it?
No - you cannot depend on it - if always x < y there's only portrait - and so the option to convert it to landscape - should be disabled then. Then the .plg-File has only all portrait-Skins in all resolutions.
Perhaps an extra option to turn the .plg in90 degrees then (it would be countable without changing the algorithm), when you don't discover any landscape in the .plg - but with the wisdom, that it works, but doesn't look so fine.
More important is to make a difference between portrait and landscape in one file.
What's also common:That 2 resolutions are already in the file (e.g. VGA and WVGA) - and the User could choose, which of the both Resolutions he want to have converted (That's easy for the algorithm).
The user should have the intelligance, that it's better, to convert the WVGA to WQVGA
And if your program always inserts the new Layout at the bottom of the .plg - after the last layout - you mustn't care by program for it.
OK, since I didn't get your response in few minutes, I started working on it, grabbed my "multiplying" core from CPR resolution changer and here is screenshot:
It works!, but till I release it I'll do the "if missing landscape, do only portrait" failsafe.
I've spend on it few hours (no kidding!) and many pops to the desk.
PS: It works a bit different - I have specified resolutions it will generate, then it detects where start of port + landscape start and end, takes this part, runs it via multiplying core, adds <layout screenWidth...> and adds to file for each resolution both port + land.
OK, when is landscape part missing, it skips it.
Download: My Server [CZE] (17KB)
*umph* You know what you have done?
This program means now.. that each Titanium Plugin mustn't be anymore released only in one Resolution - it can be released in each resolution...
because the skins in the cprs can also be converted.
Everybody can make a Skin - and with your converter - he can provide it for each device
And for JMLToday it means the same... the first trials were successful - but in JMLToday all the skins have my resolution of course... so I will have a look for feedback from the Users with other resolutions.
You know that's a KillerApp for Titanium now... You're great (and also a typical Programmer like I know it from me Problems have to be solved - insomnia )
Thanx man! Will give Feedback
Micha
OK.
When I was reading "*umph* You know what you have done?" my stomach went really high because I was scared what have I done lol.
OK, I'll tomorrow add the "convert from portrait to landscape" function.
But since it is half past one after midnight (AM) I'm not sure how it is counted - Left is swapped with Top and Height is swapped with Width or should I recount it? If I'm thinking right this should be more accurate because of odd numbers.
Or not?
I've never been good to painting and virtually imagining 2D (or 3D).
// OK, not, it would have to be pointed right into middle.
Hi all If you already follow my Thread of" Pocket Gforce" you know that i stop working on it because of the lack of time.
Atm igot myself whit some spare time and whit lots of requests to continue the project.
So i start developing a new Pocket Gforce (v2) that is fully customizable and works in any Resolution(VGA, WVGA, etc and Landscape or Portrait) as long you got a proper skin.
This is where you come in.
This is the skin that i made and i will explain how you can make one.

And this is the part that show all the skins that you have in the skins folder and where you can change them. To access it push middle button or open "Pocket gForce 2 Options"
Unbaliveble only one person post something and actually no one contact me about skins or beta testing so i suppose no one really cares... but i had 1215downloads of it
So if the community don't want to help i just gonna sell my project as i was always for open source but...
Any way the program is now working whit the Sensors and in the next week i will test whit the gps part.
So do you really care/like about Pocket Gforce ? What to see Pocket Gforce 2 at max capacity, the way you like and above all FREE?
So Start making some skins...

One thing i think you implement or change is a tab or mode that the speedometer is the same size as the overall g-meter.
That i think would be nice

I supose my explanation on the first post is a ls some what confuse, so here is a temporaty tourial as i supose i can make a video and post in youtube
I recommend you grab a copy of the free Paint.Net whit as me tool "magic wand" for select parts of images and have multi layer capability. There are lots of tutorials about it.
1. google some gauge dials like this one for example
2. find some nice background for it
3. use Paint.net and the tool "magic wand" to cut only the dial (normally you need to adjust the % of the tool to get the part you need.
4. you wil get a clean image of the dial without the background, remove also anything you dont want, like needles if it there is any or any text you dont need.
5. make a new image whit you device resolution whit the background
6. Put a new layer on top of the background and copy/past the dial in the spot you want
7. repeat the last step fot the rest of the dials
8. save it as "test.png" MUST BE PNG
9. Open one of the already created skins like "basic.ini"
(check post one for a explanation of the ini file)
10. disable anything that you dont use (like some dials digitals or graphs)
11. start putting coordinates and sizes (use paint.net to get the coordnates for some poits like the center of the dial.
12. save it as "test.png"
13. copy the "test.png" and "test.ini" to the skins folder
14. enjoy
Ok, thought I'd try something simple to start with so i just made an HD version of your basic skin. I wanted to put the speed on there too, but it shows as huge 'g' numbers so i just turned it off in the ini. Once i figure out the concept of skinning properly i'll come up with some others (i prefer a portrait style). Incidentally i the middle dial is 'T' not 'S' as stated in your instructions. Couldn't figure out how to make the dials eliptical rather than round either.
I think i'm getting the hang of it. Tweaked gfAnalizer for the HD and created a new skin from scratch. Let me know what you think, obviously the speedo isn't working but i've left it enabled anyway.
Nice start whit the skins, im going to put the layer files of basic so ppl can use them easy.
Im compiling users skin on then 3post, after some more skins appear
Just been for a test drive

Exit option
Calibrate or Zero option when installed in car.
0-60 time which starts when car moves off and stops when reaching 60.
Log facility, ideally with gps info stored for overlay on google maps
