Why not simply ask in THAT thread? The users there and/or the thread starter would probably be better suited to answer that.

[Q] (Newbie) How to install rom/theme?

This is probably asked a million times but I've been searching for hours and I cant do it. I have a r800i 4.02.A.0.42, rooted and bootloader unlocked. I assume I should boot into recovery like I used to on my x10, (I used a program called xCharge, doesn't seem to work) I cant get the device to reboot into recovery mode so I can install a custom zip. Is there something I should have to boot into recovery or is there be another way of doing it?
Want to install this for now

thanks

A little contradicting, can you see why people struggle in this forum? -_-
Wow... they should really fix that. Anyway, Xperia Plays have the recovery partition embedded into the kernel. Download one of DooMLoRD's kernels and install it via fastboot, then follow his instructions on how to get into recovery (newest one needs you to press the back button once while the LED flashes blue)
Done it, thanks. Forgot you had to install the recovery menu.

Need Help. Rooted but used Flashify for TWRP as Boot Image

So I rooted my new LG G2 correctly but had some things to do and my brother had experience with phones so I let him do the TWRP install. He used flashify and flashed it as a Boot image instead of recovery. Now when I boot my phone I can only boot to TWRP. Can someone help walk me through fixing my phone?
Your help is extremely appreciated.
Thanks again.
Youre basically going to have to restore to stock with the LG tool and start fresh. I believe there is a thread in the general forum with instructions.
Been there, done that. It sucks. You live and learn.

[Q] Flash new bootloader

Hi there
So, I can't enter recovery when I go into the bootloader to do so. I click 'recovery' and it just shows the black start up screen with the google logo. And nothing else happens. Ever. I reflashed recovery, and was able to get into recovery to install a new rom. However, after that one time, I was once again, unable to enter recovery. Now I haven't the time to be reflashing recovery just to get into it every time I want to, so I looked for a solution.
I did some reading around and apparently it's the bootloader version I'm using. (According to post five in this thread, and my assumption that I'm having a similar problem to this thread's OP.
Now if that is the solution to my problem as well, I need a bit of help. I can't find a file for the old bootloader, nor do I have any idea how to flash an old bootloader. (And please know, I wouldn't be asking had a google search not come up fruitless).
EDIT: Would flashing a completely stock 4.4.2 image update my bootloader? I wouldn't mind doing that, rooting that, and then just installing purity rom or something.

Hi Mate ,
I been looking for the same but for other reasons , to flash it is not too difficult for what i see in this thread tell how to do it manually:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2150251
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2417097
in the first one they even have a zip version of it which should install like any other zip from recovery
Also you can use a tool kit like NRT which makes life a lot easier once you got the bootloader image...(advance utilities)

My problem is that i do not know where can i get the different bootloader images...
To your question i think so , bootloader should be included in the factory image......downloading one to confirm.
also check this information

If you download the factory image, extract it, the bootloader is in the folder. Then just flash through fastboot. Just make sure you download the correct bootloader for your device
For anyone reading this thread, my solution was too move to the 4.32 bootloader from JWR66V. I flashed the .img file from this thread using Wugfresh's fantastic toolkit. (linked to in the 2nd post of this thread).

I would recommend learning how to use adb and fastboot. Toolkits do not always work as expected and you will then need to use fastboot to fix it

Trouble booting into custom recovery...

As I stated in another thread, I used to do this with other phones, but it's been years and it would appear that things are now "different!" It looks like I have the Verizon locked recovery and I'm having trouble getting the phone to boot into a custom recovery. Everything I have tried so far has just been from the phone itself - I haven't plugged it into a PC. I have tried TWRP, CWM, and Safestrap. It still boots into the stock recovery. What should I do next? Was this problem fixed a long time ago?
Thanks.
With a locked bootloader, you cannot run TWRP or CWM.
I'm figuring that out. I'm in the bootloader unlocking thread now. It appears there might be an apk that works, but I have about 50 more pages to read.
If you have Verizon phone then you want that forum not this one .
That's what I got. Thanks.

You have to flash stock for your model.

Twrp's backup hasn't too much partitions to fix it.
Copy that, but I cant get the phone into fastboot! Is there a way to re-flash fastboot using TWRP? I can still use TWRP, I cant get my phone to get recognized y ADB or get ADB to side load.
Into Twrp - reboot - bootloader.
and You are in fastboot. @usmc1488

In this thread you can find 2 twrp's backups(7 & 6.0.1, xt1572).

If you lost bootloader there isn't way to flash it without it, also system will no boot without.
Reflash stock recovery (into twrp) and send to warranty repair.
