Hi everyone,
I just tried to make my old S3 Neo (GT-I9301I) boy back to stock ROM and working. I installed the stock ROM through Odin, but the main camera doesn't want to work. The front works fine.
Here's what I tried:
- clearing cache/data of Camera app
- restarting phone
- using 3rd party camera app such as Open Camera (it says "serious camera error")
- testing the camera through the service mode (*#0*#)
Device Info HW says both cameras are Samsung sensors (s5k4h5yb - camera 0 ; s5k6a3yx - camera 1)
I installed this firmware: https://samfw.com/firmware/GT-I9301I/BGL/I9301IXXSAQA1
Any idea what's wrong would be much appreciated!

Is the camera in a S5 G900FD working for anyone with CM13 snapshot/nighty or CM12 snapshot?
I just got this new toy, put twrp-2.8.7.0-klte.img and cm-13.0-20160412-NIGHTLY-klteduos on it. Neither the LED Flashlight thing nor the Camera app is working.
The output from 'adb logcat' suggests that something is wrong with the "preview stream". Does it have any prereq, like google apps or something?
Is it supposed to work, are there perhaps drivers missing? Right now its kind of an expensive brick..

After installing twrp-3.0.2-0-klteduos.img I wiped that data and system partition, now I think its a clean new system.
Then I installed cm-13.0-20160413-NIGHTLY-klteduos.zip. Still, neither flashlight not camera is working.
I found variours threads with users who most likely have a G900FD, so I wonder if its just me or if the Camera is just not supported. If thats the case, their wiki should be updated to state that fact.
I have G900FD with CM 13, too, and I have no probs with camera. Works as it should.
Thanks for your reply. I have created bug CYAN-7613 in Jira.
Hello, yesterday i got update to latest firmware version WW_13.20.10.152_20161222 on my zenfone 3 (ZE520KL) and until today I got an issue about rotating screen (it's working fine before update in this firmware). My phone can't see on landscape view..although I turn on auto rotate, the screen can't see on landscape in some app (app that support landscape view, youtube, camera, wa, line and etc.). I just try all suggestions on forum like, reboot phone, restart, clear camera cache on app setting, clear/wipe cache partitions...and I also try factory reset. But all this act. Still can't solve my problem . Please help me, are all of you got this G-Sensor issue too? and tell to me that it's not hardware problem..it's bug on latest firmware. Pls. Thnks
*nb: result when testing using SMMI via calc. menu .12345+= ... Z- axis on G Sensor is not working, but all axis work fine
Hi, I've been having the same problem as you. I have also updated my Zenfone 3 to the latest version recently, and in the meantime I'll be using an app called Rotation Control. It doesn't automatically rotate, but at least I'm able to choose which mode (portrait/landscape) to use.
Hopefully Asus will send a patch for this soon

Dear All,
I've gone through various threads just to realize that there's not one APK for Google camera which works perfectly on One Plus 5.
I'd greatly appreciate if anyone here can help me with a perfectly working GC APK link.
Note: I'm running my OP 5 on stock ROM.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I recomend this apk: LINK

Sorry the last link it's wrong.
Correct link: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V7beta-test-9.apk
GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V7beta-test-9.apk
For me its the best version of all apks and dont need any configuration only you need install .
None work flawlessly, and unless OP makes some changes it won't be possible to have a fully functional GCam without system changes (root or at least an unlocked bootloader would be required). The camera library files from OP are 'customized' in ways that make them not fully compatible with the Camera2 API that GCam depends on. Devs here have been working hard to band-aid it, but only so much can be done by modding the GCam apk to work around the libs. Changing the libs to match GCams needs currently breaks compatibility with OP features (Face Unlock specifically). The ideal for us as users is that OP updates the libs to support full Camera2 and also keeps their own propriety additions in place so that everything can work.
Sorry, front camera in portrait mode or HDR+ make an horrible pink images with lines.
Really frustrated.
Back camera with portrait and HDR+ works fine; the problem starts with frontal camera
I'm the only?
The modded GCam app is horrible, portrait mode not working, slow motion as well and the image quality is worse
Check this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76543768&postcount=2927
If you install the magisk/twrp mod for front cam and hdr+ fix with pixel2mod 7beta9 (file name GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V7.9.apk), you actually have an almost fully working (and arguably better than oos) camera app. Only thing remains missing is the slowmo and 60fps video modes, which you can still achieve using the oos camera.
I'm trying to install Google Camera. So far, I've tried BSG versions , a few of them, all 32 bit of course (made for Android 6+). You can finde the list at celsoazevedo website, filter for BSG and look up for 3.2
None of them has worked, I can install the app, I can run it, I can record video but when I switch to camera mode I only see a black window and it freezes. I can even access the settings.
What can I do? Is it because S5 doesn't have Camera2 API? Is there a solution? I'd really like to use Gcam, even if it'd be a super old version, cause the stock camera of Resurrection Remix ROM is really bad
Thank you

You need to post this in the troubleshooting thread.

Thank you so much man, it's working
I wanted to try Gcam cause everyone says it's really good. I know the latest versions are much much better because of many factors, but I guess this old version is still better than the custom ROM stock ones.
I'll also try open camera, thanks
Works on G900F / G900FD ?

This camera app just turned my s5 into a reliable, daily point and shoot capable, device thx
So, I've tried so many Pixel Camera ports for my latest Samsung Galaxy A9, but none of it seems to work. I've literally installed and tried more than 30-40 ports but none of them worked. They install properly but force close as soon as I open the app. I really want to see if using the Pixel Camera app will increase the picture quality.
Details about device:
OS: Android 8.0
Processor: SD660
RAM: 8GB
Any more needed information I'm happy to share

Sir What to edit please tell us the complete procedure
You need to enable api2 on build.prop to make it work
How do I enable api2 on build.prop to make it work?

First you need root access to edit build.prop
Then add this line to file:
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
(Maybe the line is there but with =0, just replace 0 for 1)
Then save and reboot.
Is the first Samsung from mew models witch i hear that needs root....?
Seems like we won't be able to make GCam work until we won't get Android 10 update, I tried many many many many ways of getting GCam work, I changed build.prop, tried over 50+ camera's, executed many commands on ADB, none of it works for us now. So... Let's wait for Andoird 10.
I don't think you can either or you have found something that works for us (I think buying this device has been the worst and expensive investment)
