As far as i know there are downgrade packages but they will wipe your data.
I would simply use MSM tool tbh.
I use oxygen updater, are safe? I fear brick or any problem..

if you fear a brick or any problem use MSM tool but you need to backup your phone first beacause it gets wiped.
Like i said if you use a downgrade package your phone will be wiped too. So the safest method is the MSM tool.

Will the Msm tool work? I only ask because sometimes if you try to install older bootloader it will brick your phone
MSMTool will work yes, but it does wipe the device completely and relock the bootloader.
You might wanna try using rollback package first: (https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/Fulldowngrade_wipe_18801_181024_2027_user_MP2_release.zip)
If you used magisk I'd suggest deleting all modules and rebooting first, then you perform a local update from system settings with this package.
It will install OOS 9.0.5 or 9.0.4 (don't remember now), and from that place you can install 9.0.17 with full zip package that are available on the forums.
Going back to 9 is a dead end, as security support will end (or already is).
At each major version of Android some people want to hold back. Interesting.

Lol, I don't want to hold back, but until 10 ROM support is truly stable, as in flashing, I'm staying on 9
I just reverted today without the MSM tool. Flashed via twrp but obviously had to wipe clean.

Yes, this is how I reverted back to 9. And yes, it does wipe the device (along with sdcard, so back up that as well).
The difference is that it does not relock the bootloader. But to be honest, MSMDowload is better in the means that it restores the phone from scratch. I used the rollback package, and my phone claims that the system partition has 0 bytes left. After deleting apps from system folder they somehow reappear, as if it was still Android 10 without R/W permission. If I were you, if you decided that you can bear the necessary wipe of the phone, I'd go with MSMDowload.

Do you have the backup of persist partition when your phone was L1 ? If yes, then try restoring it.

No I don't have. I have searched in various telegram groups to take persist backup on someone else (same device) and change serial number in it? Should I try that? There were people complaining that they were not able to install/update stock rom after doing this process. Please GUIDE, I am a beginner in these things....

You could try that but I am not sure if that would restore the wiped DRM keys. In some phones (Moto G5 Plus?), backup of persist from other phones would do no good.
Also you can try flashing stock ROM through AFT and see if it helps you.
An please REMEMBER TO TAKE BACKUP before attempting any of the above methods.

Already tried flashing stock rom via AFT, but Widevine stays at L3. I am not risking to flash persist of other device as it may lead to further issues. Please let me know if there is some more efficient way out of this issue. Thanks.
I heard flashing q firmware permanently causes issues with widevine l1. The only way to bring it back is to restore a previous persist backup or flash a qfil rom (not sure about the latter). If you don't have a backup, too bad chief.

Partially correct. QB1 update caused widevine downgrade to L3 but QB2 restored it to L1. Of course, you have to be bootloader locked all the time. Too many theories going around to restore L1 on UBL but none proven, even persist backup method isn't 100%
how to install qb2 bro please help need widevine

Is it possible to downgrade from 11 to 10 without twrp? And without wiping my phone?
You will be wiping your phone if you want to downgrade from A11 to A10. No way around it.
Hi , how I can go back to A10 please ?
No. Downgrade will wipe all in youre phone, but it can be done just by flashing downgrade rom with Settings > System updates > Local Upgrade.. No twrp needed.
Can I have link for your method please ?
I really want to go back in A10 , android 11 is **** even if I need to wipe my phone

Thanks bro it's working
The MSM tool is a way back. Never done it but should be safe.
dladz, my friend, MSM is the ultimate resort, when you got booboo..
1.Downgrade rom
2.FastBoot rom
3.MSM tool
I am on stable Android 11 , want to downgrade to 10 . Do i need to download the downgrade zip file or the regular os file will work ? Downgrading from Stable 11 to Stable 10.

MsmDownloadTool is the best way I found to downgrade from OOS 11 to 10. I have tested on OP8P. If you use the tool your data will be lost.

Ha.
I'll be honest I've never used it pal.
Seems to be the only way without twrp.
The times I've not been able to boot I've just wiped system. Always does the job.
I used a few times Downgrade, FastBoot rom, MSM on my OnePlus phones, since OP3 to OP 8 Pro. All of these are Life Savers.
And i did a clean flash all the time, till the latest 2 phone models.

Sometimes you will need to use MSM Tool.
It's possible to break only one partition and there is only one way with MSM to fix that. Even fastboot rom or OTA won't fix that. I had that once with my OP7T and also saw some other guys reported that issue.
Thank you for reading me, I am desperate, I cannot flash the oxygen os official rom by anyway.
First of all, the situation:
I have the bootloader unlocked, fastboot installed and the drivers running fine (at least that's what I think, when I type "fastboot devices" I get mine back) and I also have TWRP installed and working.
Attempts with fastbootI have tried with the fastboot image provided by mauronofrio, executing the flash-all script, it said that it was successful but it boots again in the Fastboot Mode.
I have tried flashing it manually but there are some problems while flashing some of the files
Attempt with ADBADB Sideload does not work neither
Attempt with twrpI am not able to send the rom file from my pc by any means...
I have a clue but I don't find the solution...Something similar has happened to me before, and If I am not wrong I solved it by writing the side a and b, like when installing TWRP (I am not sure 100% by if it rings a bell to someone...)
Thank you for your help
Does anybody have an idea??
Use this to get back to OOS 11.0.4.4.

Thank you for your reply, finally I got msmTools to recognize my phone, now is working fine.
Hello everyone, I've been rooting phones for many years and this is my first post asking for help.
The phone was on Android 12 and rooted. I think it was C.16
I tried to do a local update with oxygen updater and then use magisk to install to inactive slot. It updated and booted up however I lost root.
I flashed a patched boot image and now the phone is stuck in fastboot.
My computer recognizes fastboot and I can flash etc. however ADB does not work and the device is not recognized.
I had a spare phone that I tried to replicate the process with and it updated locally, I patched the boot image from magisk and now it is on Android 12 and fully rooted. IN2025_11_C.21
The problem phone currently says the boot image is corrupted but I am able to get it back into fastboot.
I flashed C .11, C.16 and C .21 boot.img.
I used the spare phone to create a patched boot.img and tried flashing with that.
I have tried other patched boot.imgs with various versions from the forum.
I flashed both A and B slots with stock boot.img
When I set to slot B it boots up to a strange state but it blinks a lot and then restarts after a minute or two. I was able to look at the version number and it shows C21 regardless of boot.img. See attached image. I don’t have a keyboard or any other navigation bar. Only icons. No screen lock code at boot.
I'm wondering if maybe it did a system OTA update that I missed and the phone is not on the version I suspected for example C.33 and I don't believe there is a zip file to extract a boot.img from.
If the device is in Fastboot I should be able to reboot if I find the correct boot.img, correct?
If I can update the other phone to C.33 is there a way to extract the boot.img from the device without the full OTA file?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
There is a c.33 zip for IN2023 which is the EU version.
At least its worth a try.

It is really hard to find a boot image for a rom you think you have installed. Your best bet is MSM back to stock and start over.
