Cant update via OTA after V12.5.7 - POCO M3 Questions & Answers

My phone normally updated via ota to version 12.5.7 and after that, whenever trying to update, the download is done, when decrypting the update an error occurs and it is not possible to continue the installation until the file is deleted.
Is there any way to fix this?
By the way, my Poco went through the Deadboot problem, I fixed it with reballing, and after that it still updated.
Anyway, no ideas.

Update available on Mot software updater now

I had previously tried to update OTA and with the Moto sofware updater more than 20 times and either way I tried always said no software available and the phone was up to date. Today I went to the software updater and it had found the new software. I did this time connect as mass storage device, not sure if that had anything to do with it but those that had issues updating before go try it out now.
I got 4.1.83 OTA about 20 mins ago. Problem is it reboots and starts extracting and craps out.
I'm running stock, rooted and I manually uninstalled some of the bloatware...any ideas on what I need to do?

[Q] OTA update keeps failing to install

So I'm using the AT&T S5(SM-G900A) and I just flashed a clean sock firmware through odin. After I flashed it I wanted to install the new OTA but every time I try, it boots into recovery to install the update, but it only gets to like 31% and says update failed. Can anyone please help me figure out what's going on? I'm pretty sure it's the NG3 update because I'm on NCE right now.
I ended up getting it fixed thanks to muniz_ri. Here's his post that helped me get it fixed if anyone runs into this problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/g900and3tong3keeprootota-zip-t2862299

Verizon's latest OTA update (NE9 to NI2) keeps failing

I've been trying to get the latest update (apparently it will fix the bluetooth issue), it downloads fine, goes into recovery, tries to do a system update and it errors out and reboots (and reports as failed).
I've tried 4 times over the past couple of days.
Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
Any tips to get it working?

I'm having the same issue. If anyone figures this out, please let me know.
Also Failing
I'm in the same boat. I've tried five times over a week. Keeps reporting a failure after the reboot.
I did have it rooted, but lost it from the last update. Haven't tried to root it again, so I don't think that would cause any issues.
I'm on Verizon. Hopefully somebody can figure it out.
Bump.
It's still happening. Anyone?
Still fails after factory reset
So Verizon claims to try taking the battery out and retrying to install the update. Tried it. Update fails.
After a couple weeks of this, I caved and did a factory reset. Update still fails. It seems to fail about 30% into the progress bar during recovery mode.
Possibly going to the Samsung guys at Best Buy will solve this...

Qual OTA Update FaiLs, TWRP > Bootloader > Start Now Required Each Boot

Same thing as the OP of this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/bootloop-to-twrp-ota-update-t3667456
Late last night I saw that there was an update available and, given that I've only rooted my phone, security updates are important, and it's a mere ~15 minutes download + install time tops I went for it.
I absolutely cannot seem to get the update to install via the OTA channel - it downloads just fine but when I attempt to install it it boots into TWRP and once there the only way to leave is via Bootloader > Start (System just reboots into TWRP) and upon reaching Android I'm told that the update was unsuccessful.
I now have two problems:
1. I don't like having notifications that I can't do anything about. Assuming that this OTA is going to nag me for eternity that's definitely going to become an annoyance - but I'd prefer the update vs blocking the notification (again, IF it nags)
2. Every time I restart my phone (or it crashes) I now have to deal with TWRP. It's not a major annoyance. It's at most 8 extra seconds added to my boot time and I don't restart my phone more than 3 times a week. But it IS butt-ache inducing.
Edit: Forgot to add that I came across this and downloaded it https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e4/how-to/boost-mobile-ota-t3763851 My E4 is a 1766 and is also from Boost Mobile (Sprint) so I imagine they're the same update. Point is, can I install this with TWRP successfully or would that do nothing / make things worse?

You cannot install it with twrp on a rooted device. You would have to modify the updater script in it for that. And remove a bunch of assert props. And hope your system isn't modified too much.
So no, you can't. You have to flash back to stock, (the version you're on now) then install it. Or just sit tight, there is someone working on a partition updater, and a twrp flashable rom with the update included.
Once you root and install twrp, ota updates ain't gonna happen. How do you not know this
If you need a solution for the recovery Loop issue you're going to have to give me a minute to find the link it can be fixed.
It's a problem if TWRP when you format data not wiping something properly
this should help a recovery loop. Only if your issue is, every reboot it goes right to twrp. Then you have to reboot bootloader and select start. Easy fix.

Thank you! And, frankly, because I never stick to stock. I always flash Cyanogenmod or LineageOS pretty much first thing when I get a phone. This time there wasn't a build available that seemed stable enough (Late November) but I still needed Root. I'm used to getting updates from both LOS and CM OTA so I figured the only thing preventing official OTA updates from working was that the build was entirely different. My assumption in this case was that I was still running the stock ROM that came with the device AND they were offering an OTA via notification so the phone must be eligible to receive it. >-> My bad.

The ota has a bunch of checks in it. If anything fails the checks, ota fails. When you root, there are system changes, boot.img changes, etc. All of which cause the ota to fail. Of course lineage and cm didn't have such strict checks in their update zips because they expect us to root and modify system. Manufacturers do not.

Color OS 6 bootloop

Hey there,
My friend downloaded and installed Color OS6 update. His phone got bricked. He has tried all the things but couldn't solve the issue yet. It's been more than a week. Can you please link me to any solutions.
Also, the official update to fix the issue, i.e., http://download.c.realme.com/osupdate/RMX1801EX_11_OTA_0210_all_YkJueYPOAFXQ.ozip isn't installing and displaying "Installation Failed" after waiting forever. Service Centre guys are saying that they will do it, but data will have to be wiped.
In order to fix the bootloop, data needs to be reformatted via the stock recovery, then only flash the latest OTA. Should work(at least for me).
