Hi,
Like any other people on this community, trying to convince myself to buy this device. While I am almost certain that I would buy it, the following things bother me just too much!
1. call quality - Due to noise canceling mic on top, the other person is unable to hear the caller properly and caller seems far away from the phone
2. battery life - I am seeing mixed comments on this and hence not sure how about how much it would be for my use (a lot of browsing, google reader, news, fb, twitter, mails, 4-5 calls max and a few conferences [30 mts] min). Want to know how it is for you and for your usage pattern
3. Audio quality - i am a heavy iPhone/iPod user and used to awesome SQ and hearing that due to Yamaha DAC the SQ is not good. Need your opinion on this too
Really appreciate your feedback

1. Call Quality - was excellent. It was never too loud or too low. It was near perfect reception. In fact the noise cancellation option can be disabled or enabled during the call! - 9 out of 10. You may see a screen shot
2. Battery life is excellent - I use 2G since I don't see much use of 3G right now, and the battery life is amazing. Remember there are options inside settings to "Save Battery" with many options of what you want to stop / reduce such as wireless, brightness, etc etc. Here I can give it a 8 out of 10.
3. Music loudness without headset is okay. Its not great honestly. Attaching headset or speakers is okay as well. I was sad to see that after attaching speakers I could not get the sound I expected. So on a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it only a 6 or a 7.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards

Hi Prabu, don't you think this information would benefit other users? By deleting these thread, others will mis out of this valuable feedback.
I think the thread subject can be modified or changed rather that deleted. What do you think?
I also own a galaxy note. Im a heavy gamer I've used n64oid for a solid 4hrs and battery gave me the 10% warning. I believe after more charges and i think i can get 5 hours.

This is just a video I created to really show off a fully customised galaxy note. Link it to your friends (including iphone lovers) and spread the word about this crazy ass device!

Nice video man, it's like a documentary of the phone. I like it, it's better than those other generic reviews
Nice vid. Now you have to tell us how you got the 3d user interface on there, and about the programs you're running on it to make those customizations.

You may use Go Launcher which supports 3D carousel movement of screens. Just an optional good launcher.

Cheers man! Battery life varies heaps. Strangley, browsing the web probably takes the most and gaming is a relatively small drain. In standby ~1 % per 6 hours or more. so that's insane but for heavy use probably 12-14 hours? moderate use 1 -2 days at an absolute stretch..
I do use ADW EX with a few theme plug ins etc (i'll post a full tutorial soon) Cheers for watching!
I really enjoyed watching that. Artistic and the best I've seen!
Very nice
Thanks man.
Excellent video. Looking forward to the tute.
One bit of hopefully constructive criticism for you though - you really need to used a tripod for your video recording device. Shaky handcam makes it look less professional and detracts from what you are trying to show off because it cant keep focus quickly enough for all the small movements you are making.
Great Video and Fantastic UI

Great video, also looking forward to the tutorial!
Loving this video and what you've done with your g-note!!!
Any time-scales on when you'll have the tutorial ready?
Cool Dude!
I'm wondering what version of MultiPicture Live Wallpaper do u use, cuz every version that i tried on my HD2 and now on my Note it's loading when i unloock the phone.
Tnx for the answer.
Excellent video. But you do need to make that cam less shaky... I'd advice, in case you want to keep the video "in-motion", is that you reseat the cellphone between scenes, change into portrait and landscape, isntead of allowing it to be shaky. Very artistic tough, very creative, and quite thorough.
BTW, it's been reasonably stablished by users in this forum that browinsg eats your battery because of the white backgroud. The opera browser (and perhaps others) have options to change default background color, just like the "kindle" app does. That extends battery greatly. Wi-fi is also a culprit here, so keep it in 3g.
NOTE: This quick video just shows my modifications and applications on my Nexus 5. If you want me to go into detail about each of them let me know as this is not a 'tutorial' video, but more like a 'teaser'. I hope you enjoy the video XD.
Any feedback?
ill be honest, not to hurt your feelings or anything, because that's not what im trying to do.. but why does it matter to me what apps and mods that you decided to use?

thats the problem :/ how will they reach if no one is giving feedback sharing or anything lol
I like the video. Music is good for the type of video, +1 to the wallpaper because turbos, intro is cool, +1 to the themes, I like the Settings tiling up animation (not sure if that makes sense).
Only thing I would say is smoother camera handling (e.g. min. 55, min. 2:13-2:15) and the angle you have your phone is good but at some points it's hard to tell what app, or what setting you're doing/using because the very top left is blurry.
Also I can tell I'm bored right now waiting for the wifey because I just spent a lot of time reviewing a 3 minute video lol
What's the purpose of the video?
Why not link apps and mods properly with descriptions and instructions.
Why not a step-by-step or how-to?
A 3 minute video I'm forced to watch is useless.
Why spend 3 minutes looking at something?
Now you have to pause, rewind, fast forward parts if you missed something.
Everything written out would save time and not waste everyone else's.
All I see is a video to generate views.

Hey guys, as the topic states, I think I'm going to start making some short videos about various OPO roms here on xda, nothing fancy 2-3mins just showing off the rom and it's features. I just wanted to know if there was anything in particular you guys would want to see or want me to comment on. I was thinking just show off the rom and it's features, talk a bit about stability (for alpha and beta) and then show some battery stats or something like that.
So let me know, also I'm from the Caribbean so you all may not understand my accent so tell me if you all would want voice or on screen comments during the video.
You can do videos for lollipop roms like Temasek, Candy5, ParanoidAndroid, Liquid and also K900's rom
Sent from my OnePlus One using Tapatalk
I think the only issue might be that most of the ROMs have very similar features, so it'd be a bit like doing the same review over and over. You should definitely do voice.

Yea I won't keep on repeating myself once features become redundant. I'll stick to the info that everyone pretty much wants to hear, how stable, what screen on time. I think I'll also add a section with the rom in use with a 3rd party kernel and see how they turn out. Thanks for the feed back so far, I'm just waiting to get a few lights I ordered from amazon and I'll probably make a nice clean white table. I don't want to do a half arsed job.

Just be wary of quoting any general battery or screen on times, these figures are highly subjective and depend on many different factors so they vary wildly from user to user.

how about darkobas? just a suggestion
You can review my ROM.
timos-rom.org
forums.oneplus.net/threads/timos-a-new-os-based-on-cm12.212607
But you should wait until Jan 3 because then I will make a huge bugfix update with many commits. I can't do that now 'cause I'm not at home...
If there is possibility of borrowing OnePlus One from your friend or girlfriend, etc. You can do a Performance, battery life, smoothness compare between CM11S (fully stock) and Lollipop ROMs here. It would be great if you can compare and do some notes on what is better and what worse on Lollipop over Stock Kitkat ROM I bet a lot of people going to agree with me. Just a suggestion

I'd love to see a review of my rom.
Check my op, there's great features on it that you won't find in any other 11s Roms!
Not to mention a very unique install method!!!

Not a bug or anything, just letting people know that the first boot will take a while. Don't worry if it sits at the pixel boot animation for longer than a few minutes.
hello, it's for an opinion, I'm with Carbon ROm and SNAPPATCH, I have a concern:
* 1) with the autofocus of Open Camera .... autofocus has trouble with close subjects, I tried all focus modes but it's still the same, typed 15 times its screen to have a correct focus, my photos always come out with just a little blurry (and with luck no ...)
2) when taking the picture, the clarity of the screen is still there but to view the picture the intensity of the screen drops a little bit and does not give the effect of having taken the same picture, it's normal ?
So, thank you for a nice answer and good work on SNAPPATCH

Thanks for You constructive Post! There are a lot of Configs and i'm not even aware of what the best Values would be. Means a lot of testing and finetuning for the next Time. At all is it already a good upgrade but i can confirm that there is still a lot to do and to figure out how what works and which Configs are the best. I'm also looking around to get HDR Video Recording and i already made some Steps in the right Direction like it seem. I'll keep You informed on the Main Thread and the Changelogs when something changes or improves! Hope You can live for now with the Camera...

When trying to install Substratum, its getting half way done building the overlays, seems stuck. Any ideas?
BTW Im hitting the 8.1 and build & enable
Also what a good app to use to change those kernel numbers
Tested it: performance is much slower than stock. Geekbench shows 60% less performance.
Wifi is stronger.
No X-reality.
Safe charging doesn't exist.
Camera is very good, but the focus is off, cannot take pictures of nearby objects.
Back to stock for me

You don't even tried the Real World Performance such as Task switching or Gaming Performance? X-Reality? Sounds not like testing for Me...
And what is Safe Charging? It does Quick Charge (3.0) as Safe as Possible. Otherwise would it just start heat up or totally stops the charging since there is a Controller for such Things.... Besides that seems the Device to stay a lot Cooler while Charging (Booted in Android).
Don't get Me wrong. But Posts like this are the Stone on the Development Grave here. It just tells People that something is sh**, and they don't even think about to try it out. Half of the Posts i see on the Xperia Forums are non Sense, complaining, or feature request. That's isn't helpful to anyone and just keeps Devs from joining the Development here. See the TWRP Thread from Myself5 or the Kernel Thread from AndroPlus (Both long Time Contributers). It's a wonder that Myself5 is still providing his Carbon Builds on the Forums....
To be honest, besides the ROM from Myself5 and My Patch is there nothing great to find for the XZ Premium. If You can't believe that go back to Nougat or use this trashy ROM from Turbo which contains non working "Tweaks" and seems to be 90% based on Superrs Kitchen without additional Optimizations (My 5 Years old Brother can do that). Just removed some Content and Copy - pasted a Kernel with the DRM Fix. It's sad...
And before i start to talk more about the Problems here am i out for now. New Patch is up and i'm looking forward to more Enhancements which You will NEVER get on Stock!

Thanks for You nice Words Mate! I really take My at off to You for Your calmness! I'm 24 now and around 6 Years posting on XDA. I still can't accept that XDA has changed over the Years, and i think that's My Problem. It's not the Users Fault, XDA just mutated to another Place and no one can change that except for the Owners of this Site. And i don't see that coming. XDA is still under Construction since Years (DEV DB, Thread Features, Site Designs, Post Editing), and there is no End...
I looked often around for other Places to share My Work, but looks like i have to live with that here... At least do i know that here are still some Friendly Devs and Users, and that's what keeps Me here at the End. So Thanks again for Your Post! And keep You also up Your ROMs! It would be really Silent in our Forums without You...

After days of using, here's my simple feedback.
(G8142,lastest official CarbomROM)
1.Battery life is as good as,if not better than that of stock.
2.When slipping the screen,it lags.(compared to stock)
But i believe it is the rom to be blame.
3.Actually game performance is not good, for example,Fate/Grand Order and HearthStone, the animation of which lags.
4.The Pixel-like UI is cool! i love it.
keep developing, and i will stay on AOSP

Thanks for Your Feedback!
I can't tell if the Patch is causing it or not, but it runs just well on My Axon 7 using AOSP Extended. Same for Gaming or Multitasking. Graphic intensive Games are running more fluid and with less heat, and the App switching is much faster. But i see the Lags all few Seconds on the XZP. Are You also using the Carbon ROM?
Think i will try out pure AOSP after some sleeping...
And yes, i will continue the Development! There is much left to do, and i think a own AOSP OS from Me including many of the Patch Features will also come in the next Time (AOSP Project for Xperia Devices). At least at this Point should be all Lags be part of the past...
Hope to see You around again! BR
Try change g google play services and the lag will go.

Great to hear so far, but what's the Problem with Your Recovery? Mine works fine here...
Have You tried flashing the last One from TWRP.me with Fastboot? The Patch should not affect it in any way. So it's a really strange Issue... ?

Yes indeed, with yesterday compiled Sony AOSP TWRP is broken.
With the whole source from the end of March all was fine. But I got weird errors with this patch which rendered the phone unusable at all.
Sadly I have no clue how to debug a recovery. TWRP only worked before first boot.
