Android Headunit Next/Prev Problem - Android Head-Units

All of a sudden my Android headunit started behaving weirdly.
I can skip to the next and the previous songs from the face buttons and the steering wheel controls if I have the app that is playing the music open in the foreground.
I can't skip the music if I have the app in the background. If I try it with the face buttons nothing happens, if I try it with the steering wheel controls the whole CANbus functionality breaks (no door info, no volume up or down etc.). After a few mins the music cuts off, comes back and the CANbus functionality comes back.
I have connected a keyboard to the headunit today to see if it could skip songs and it can, without any problems.
Shortly, I can skip songs if the app is open but I can't if the app is closed (and also the CANbus config breaks when I try to).
What could be the reason and how can I fix it?

Are you using CarPlay? If so we kinda have the same problem. I’ve stated out a workaround in my latest post.
TS18 TLink CarPlay SWC problems

Bluetooth accessories

I have an old car so it doesn't have a steering wheel control buttons. I bought myself a bluetooth wireless remote control to try to control my music/voice search this way but the bluetooth doesn't connect to the head unit. Is there any work around to get this going? Perhaps w/ a bluetooth adapter connected to the usb? I'd like to connect to my bluetooth accessories somehow.
Thanks!
I am in the same boat as you. Bought a bluetooth steering wheel control, but HU does not recognize. As far as I know, the solution if you want steering wheel control is to install a remote control that I have seen recently on EBay and Aliexpress recently. Search "Car Steering Wheel Control Key Button For Android DVD/GPS Player Bluetooth Phone" on Ebay to see what I am talking about. You have to connect a control unit to the back of the HU. I have not tried this yet. Instructions seem a little unclear and I have not yet taken the plunge.

Adding Navigation app as "Mode" in Android 5.x based Double Din Head Unit

I have recently installed a Double Din Android based head unit in my Toyota Corolla 2012, have also paired with steering multimedia buttons (with Volume, Track, MODE, Phone & Mute controls). The "MODE" button on my steering wheel switches the current application to
Music
Video
AV-In
Radio
The headunit is equiped with GPS and have recently installed Sygic Premium as default navigation app. It works fine.
Problem: I want to add navigation in the above listed "MODES", so that switching the steering "Mode" button can switch to Navigation as well. Any Ideas?

TopNavi passenger side audio bug with apps unless I select different source first

I have the TOPNAVI 32GB Android 8.1 Car Radio for Lexus IS350 head unit for my car.
It worked fine for months until one day the forward/back buttons stopped working on my steering wheel, so I decided to hit reset on the unit.
Everything still works fine, but now when I select an app for music, it will only play from the passenger side speakers, unless I hit another audio source first, and wait for a moment, before switching over.
Currently I'm having the problem with Apple CarPlay (I'm using the aliexpress dongle and the apk they sent), but have the same issue with Google Play music built into the head unit if I don't select FM/AM first and wait for a few seconds (or aux in). It's important to select the other audio source and wait a few seconds, playing sound.
Afterwards it works fine, unless I disconnect my iPhone again, or if I turn my car on and off. Same thing happens with a different iPhone (as well as the built in Google Play music app).
Does anyone know how to fix this bug?

Bosion navigation problems with steering wheel commands (Focus Mk2)

The previous owner of the car that I've bought had an Bosion navigation installed. I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to be this one:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33006001125.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.709a4fa9nHvnMk&algo_pvid=865de174-1fd9-431e-85ea-2e110423971a&algo_expid=865de174-1fd9-431e-85ea-2e110423971a-4&btsid=0b0a556f16108002027657546e6c77&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
I've used the default CAN module included in the pack, but the steering wheel controls aren't working properly. When I set the volume louder it skips channels or just does random things. I've skipped the CAN to try it that way and the commands work properly, but I've lost my data from climatronic and rear camera.
Did anyone had these problems? I'm thinking about skipping the CAN just for the volume buttons, but I'm not sure yet if that works. I can try to hook a cable for reverse, but I will loose all data from CAN.

Steering wheels keys not working only on Spotify AA

Hi all!
I've recently got a Seicane HU, specifically this one, with a quad core ARM Cortex-A35. I've used the steering wheel control app to learn all the buttons necessary. They all work work great with stock the radio and the BT music player. The only issue is that the next and previous track buttons on my steering wheel do not work when using Spotify while wirelessly connected to Multiplay (Android Auto). I tried searching for a solution but only found that Spotify had an issues awhile back but it was fixed in an update.
Any possible leads?
Cheers,
Zajuuu
