Got mine yesterday, really fast delivery from China and arrived in Dublin on Monday via DHL , had to pay €53.25 customs fees just when i thought i was getting away with it!!
Anyway ill list the pros and cons so far
PROS - Fast and responsive with no lag, especially with Nova launcher
Haven't taken many photos but the camera seems excellent and a massive step up from my One Plus One which ill be selling
Looks really smart with Android L, really nice interface
The phone is a perfect size and looks really nice
Addition of micro sim and dual sim is excellent and should be standard thesedays
Audio sounds good
CONS - The back looks nice but it's just plastic, i dont know why but i thought this was supposed to be aluminium so im a tad disappointed and premium design phones are the way forward the front looks lovely however
I dont know why but ive had the occasional FC on the play store and this shouldn't happen on a brand new phone
Not many but bloody chinese apps came pre loaded and are i dont appear to be able to uninstall them all
The power button up the top is a pain and will take a while getting used to, what the hell is wrong with the side
For come reason my contacts didn't sync from Google everything else did, ive tried a few things no luck so far so im hoping i can sort this out.

were you bought it from? I am planning to buy this from Asus France, is that good idea? Because now only €299 and no customs fees! (I live in The Netherlands, EU)

Cant comment yet im still in the process of setting it up and downloading all my app and ill have to bluetooth photos/videos/music from my One Plus One to this phone and most important find a fix for my contacts not syncing but in general im very impressed, it;s so responsive and smooth

thats really a pity
but from gearbest that one is Taiwanese version, no Playstore and only 1,8ghz. but I have heard you can put Worldwide firmware on it, so it can support EU bands and have playstore?

I got the one from gearbest.com also thought I was getting 2.3GHz processor but only got 1.8GHz still has 4GB ram and 32GB storage. agreed phone is quick, and agree mostly with impressions above. Screen is also a little dull to me and viewing angles are not great. Just ran and antutu and it got 41672. My Note 3 with Cyanogenmod got 42212.
Tried 1080p videos and YouTube and works without any glitches also played Real Racing 3 and it had no glitches or stutters. The plastic back makes my hand sweat for whatever reason but a case would fix anyways. Camera works great and takes better pics than my Note 3. Am on T-mobile USA and because Chinese firmware only getting 3G/H+ good coverage area gets me around 12mb down and 2mb up.
Probably going to sell it and stick with my Note 3 until something better comes along.

You must have the Chinese version because the Taiwanese version have the Google services pre-installed.
The one from Gearbest.com is China version. I can confirm.

If I understood correctly, Chinese version is from Gearbest and that one doesnt have play store and is only 1,8ghz
yes it is the chinese version i have and im fuming here google play was continuously force closing so i uninstalled it and sideloaded the apk which installs ok but when i click on it it wont open, ive tred clearing cache and data, uninstalling and re installing but to no avail so im left with a phone in which i cannot install my apps, ****ing disaster after my initiak post when i was fairly happy earlier the minute i turned the phone on to finish setting up the problems started, it's looking likely ill have to send it back, theres no way im paying customs fees again and they cay refund me for the postage and either send me a non chinese version with google play instaslled or refund me my money.
unless anyone has other ideas in the meantme

ridiculous you have to do this just to get the play store but it works,,,however it's now asking me again to pay for the apps which ive already paid for, anyone know how i can resolve this?
im returning mine to Gearbeast i sent them a message and they responded fairly quickly and said they'd send me a European model which they should have done in the first place, they are expecting me to pay for postage too im going to demand they refund me this and pay any other customs fees , clearly they should not have sent people outside China the Chinese model with no play store which is a nightmare.
Asides from that it's a cracking phone, but when available im going to purchase an aluminium back cover whenever i get my European model sent to me.

The eBay ones seem to be the best so far, as they are the Taiwanese version which means 4G on T-Mobile PLUS its the 2.3GHz instead of the 1.8GHz ... on top of all that, it has the Play Store and Google framework installed. ...... At least, that's what I've come up with reading on the forums the past couple of days. Hopefully they're all true.

Can't say about the windows version, mine is the Android one. But so that Android is lighter as OS, probably for the things you say (newspapers, YouTube, Facebook, Netflix...) Android is a good choice (mine works really fine, I do lots of note taking and mail also, and having this halo kb, for a more than occasional but not really intensive writing, it's great).
If you need special software, or do not use/like android, then think on the Windows one, probably.
I have to say: I Don't use W nor iOS, but Linux, in my PC, so I feel more comfortable on Android...

Iagree with nachordez; Android is probably the better choice for that use case. I have a Windows desktop, a Dell XPS13 Windows laptop, a cheap generic Windows tablet, a Samsung Tab S2, a Nexus 10, and the Yogabook. I would say that the Android/Windows usage ratio is probably 9:1. I wind up using the Windows systems mainly for work when I need Word, Excel, or heavy duty video/photo editing.
Since the Yoga Book has been essentially abandoned by Lenovo, unless you don't care about security I think the Windows model is a better bet if you are buying one now, because it will at least get Windows updates for the forseeable future. It is doubtful Lenovo will release any further Android updates, so security for the Android model is going to be a concern going forward unless you want to mess with custom ROMs, which have not had much dev support for this device.
I tried both before buying the Windows model... neither is a speed demon but the Windows works OK for light workload. Netflix etc. work fine. I try to use Windows native (store) apps wherever possible.
I dont know "if" an Android version update comming or not ..
But the LYB is listed on the Lenovo site to get an system update against Spectre/Meltdown .....
If this comming with an security update or even with an OS upgrade is unknow ......

The question is when. If. Lenovo is known for not being very fast on updates.
Microsoft fixed Meltdown with an OS workaround quite fast this time, for Spectre the Bios still has to be updated. And I doubt we will see one before the end of the year, if ever...
I see 2 Android models in stores

This i now found out there is LTE 4g models of both android and windows lenova yoga books
So Not sure if i should get Wifi only or LTE 4G ?

But i am very Sad about the custumber service in the Store FNAC spain i purchased it from
I walked around inside store first looking at the tablets
and was able to try Android and windows tablets both on exposition
I then said to seller in FNAC physical store i want to purchase the android
I expected him to pick up a sealed new box of Lenovo yoga book
put it on the desk and then ask me to pay it.
I asked the seller if i could see the sealed box of lenovo tablet
before buying it so i could see the code on the backside if is correct color
Seller FNAC shop refused this
said that i have to pay for the Tablet first
then he will give me a TICKET (not the tablet at all)
and with the TICKET i go to the end of the shop and pick up the Tablet
from the reception
a very strange metod if you ask me.
Yea right no other shop nearby had the LTE version so i just acepted.
paid the tablet got the Ticket and picked up the tablet in the reception
took them 5 minutes to find the Tablet in the reception that i had paid for.
Once in reception i asked about my right to return

this say theirs answer:
The right to return a tablet in shop the first 14 days
is only if purchased over internet not in physical stores
If you have purchased it in the physical store it depend what it say
on the receipt or ticket given by the store when purchased.
this mean the purchase by law you have no right to return the tablet.
if the Physical shop dont want you to return the tablet

I sent them a message recently about the redmi k20 pro and they said they open them to test them,but maybe not the mi 9t

i received bill with price, and imei number and it say i have warranty of 24months. But anyway i have 12 months of warranty of rakuten site.
how is warranty from goldway via alixpress?
If something wrong with the phone within 1 week of arrival goldway takes full responsibility. If you have problems with the phone after that - let's say 6 months and you have problems with your charging port goldway will take care of it but you as as a customer needs to pay the delivery fee to china, which is a hussle.
The best would be when we get the phone and with the correct IMEI the warranty would be accepted by xiaomi global - like if we can directly send the phone to xiaomi and not return to the seller in china.
yes, that would be the best if we get phone direct from xiaomi shop. but when i look to order mine, i was waiting for 17jun for official site of xiaomi in france, and i add to basket, but thinking which coclour, blue or black, and it takes me 1 min to think. and then when i click to confirm and buy, it was already sold, so i had to find alternative site to buy . i was not enough patient to wait for few days more, i could buy even cheaper then for 354eur.
i dont know about warranty, for me if it is in few first, lets say weeks all ok, then what could happen if i am not alone responsable. I have bad experience with meizu, even i send and i was ready to pay all expenses for repair of my phone, they didnt do, they even break connectors from power and vol+/- keys to main borad, and phone was not able to use after. when i send notice back about that connectors, they said it was already like this when they receive my phone.

Izvini nisam video da si iz Hrvateske . Sorry didnt see that you are from Croatia . In Serbia mi9t cost 380eur 64GB, it will be in shop from tomorrow. if someone wants sure warranty of 24moths then i think no doubt where to buy.
I chose to buy in sites as i posted or in aliexperes, or from local site name kupujemprodajem, i have sure 1year of warranty, and if i want new battery, i just can go at local service center and ask to put me new battery. even if i have to pay. for such things, it is cheaper to pay then to send phone back to china, and wait extra month, or even two to have phone back.

Yes, but if you change for example your battery at a local dealer (not authorised) - you void your 2 year warranty which is enforced by law. At least for all electronic products for the EU, i suppose Serbia enforces it as well. Keep that in mind.

Summa sumrum, you can change your battery wherever you like, but you lose your 2 year warranty. If i buy a phone from amazon (for example) i have a 2 year warranty by default. If i go and change something without amazon - so if i go to a local guy who can change it i lose the warranty.
you are right, but it is why we have options, to buy phone by lover price, and questioned warranty, or to buy overpriced phone with warranty ( but when it comes too, no we dont accept this, we dont accept that, .... )

Any idea where to get this phone for UK buyer like me. I checked honourbuy https://www.honorbuy.com/1687-xiaom...-blue.html#/option-global_version_6128gb_blue and its coming from Germany which is fine but then in checkout delivery I found additional shipping cost to UK €17.00 added to it.

Yea,that kind of bummed me out a bit too,there not exactly selling the phone at it's cheapest either but if you wanted to get it quick it's an option,I would check eBay,or Amazon if you want the 64gb version,
I haven't found a site that doesn't charge extra for shipping besides eglobal but I find them very dodgy,(though I've heard good things also)

eglobal is cheap at the moment and dropping price,currently its £261 there but they dont have any accessory and yes they I have heard things about but not as bad as tobydeals.
I was also torn between mi 9 I really like it but the headphone jack absence killed it for me

I had a really weird experience with eglobal today that put me off them all together.I added my personal info in and was thinking hard on the 9T in my cart but had to leave the site to get back to work
Got about 10 missed calls throughout the morning from places like Africa,Burundi, Switzerland, definitely scamming attempts ,then this evening got email from eglobal saying I'd left an item in my cart just click here price is 9999,I'm sure if I clicked they would of tried to charge me that.
Looking elsewhere now,but still unsure as have a 6T at the moment but really like the 9T design and cameras. The mi 9 is too similar to my 6T. Also kind of keen on the k20 pro so thinking might be worth waiting for a mi 9T pro

Romours are it will come in September but that's not confirmed.but you can get the k20 pro with Chinese software at the moment but no band 20 for 4G.
I'm in Ireland but there nothing over here and we use UK plugs so interested in all UK relevant stores. Yea the headphone is pretty much dead on most brands,I don't mind because I never use it

Anyway, i contacted Amazon about that and they told me that they cannot do anything since this case is not sold separately, maybe they can give me a gift card if i insist but i just want the case which is supposed to be included.
After that, i contacted OnePlus Live Chat and they pointed me at Amazon which was the seller after all. I even told them that i can pay for the case but they did not sell it, so again there is no solution. I searched AliExpress, eBay etc. but i cant find this case anywhere!
What should i do now?

So let me get this correct. You buy a phone that didn't come with a case? You contacted the seller? You contacted OnePlus? You're willing to purchase one? Do I have everything correct so far? So why not just buy one instead of wasting your breath on here because we can't do anything about it.

OP mentioned he's been looking everywhere for it but can't find the specific one that comes in the box
You should behave sent it back because it was incomplete.
After that order a new one!
I bought it on Amazon Spain and everything is correct. bad luck yours.
I also bought it 2 weeks ago on Amazon Spain and the tpu case was included, what a big mistake

I bought the phone from Amazon and there was no case in the box. OnePlus now responded that they will send me a free sandstone case that will arrive this Monday 13/7.
Anyway I still think that this is ridiculous for a 1000€ phone, at least the after sales experience was good.

It's not a good case, it discolours as all transparent cases do.
Grab a mofi, Ringke, mous, Spigen, UAG, Rhino.
Every one of them will look better and offer more protection.
If you really want it you can have mine I'll never use it again.

I'd really appreciate the help. What I'm trying to tell you is that the M1 is uncommon in South Africa, I had to import from AliExpress. We do not have a locally functioning Amazon site.
Believe me, I've been looking, and I'm continuing to look at any site I'm any country. But access is limited due to my location.
