Factory Sealed unopened ?
I sent them a message recently about the redmi k20 pro and they said they open them to test them, but maybe not the mi 9t
€390 for the 128 version is pretty decent it's €330 for 64gb one on amazon
I bough my mi9t from this https://fr.shopping.rakuten.com/offer?action=desc&aid=4827612891&productid=3974212410 and it is factory sealed. but look for other sellers https://fr.shopping.rakuten.com/mfp...10&filter=10&cid=5849175&scroll=shop_sections this from europe are even cheaper now, and probably they come factory sealed.
for this mine seller it is sure factory sealed.
i paid it 354eur, as rakuten offer me 30eur discount for sopping over 300eur
tradingshenzhen[dot]com also recently adjusted their prices for both versions 327,-€ / 64GB and 357,-€ / 128GB
It's also said that in their next delivery they will have all three colors available

What about the warranty when buying a phone from sites like that?
I'm looking to buy myself one 128gb version, and as someone mentioned above amazon is out of stock, so now I'm wondering whits sites like you mentioned + Goldway via alixpsress etc...

i received bill with price, and imei number and it say i have warranty of 24months. But anyway i have 12 months of warranty of rakuten site.
how is warranty from goldway via alixpress?
If something wrong with the phone within 1 week of arrival goldway takes full responsibility. If you have problems with the phone after that - let's say 6 months and you have problems with your charging port goldway will take care of it but you as as a customer needs to pay the delivery fee to china, which is a hussle.
The best would be when we get the phone and with the correct IMEI the warranty would be accepted by xiaomi global - like if we can directly send the phone to xiaomi and not return to the seller in china.
yes, that would be the best if we get phone direct from xiaomi shop. but when i look to order mine, i was waiting for 17jun for official site of xiaomi in france, and i add to basket, but thinking which coclour, blue or black, and it takes me 1 min to think. and then when i click to confirm and buy, it was already sold, so i had to find alternative site to buy . i was not enough patient to wait for few days more, i could buy even cheaper then for 354eur.
i dont know about warranty, for me if it is in few first, lets say weeks all ok, then what could happen if i am not alone responsable. I have bad experience with meizu, even i send and i was ready to pay all expenses for repair of my phone, they didnt do, they even break connectors from power and vol+/- keys to main borad, and phone was not able to use after. when i send notice back about that connectors, they said it was already like this when they receive my phone.
same bad experience with huawei.
Exactly. That's why i'm not sure if I want to order the phone via those sites, because like you said...what if something happens? Like, i need a new battery? I need to send the phone back.wait at least 1 month etc...and there will always be something wrong with every phone.
But as I see now, even here in Croatia the MI 9t 64gb costs the same as the 128gb on alixpress, its just too expensive here.

Izvini nisam video da si iz Hrvateske . Sorry didnt see that you are from Croatia . In Serbia mi9t cost 380eur 64GB, it will be in shop from tomorrow. if someone wants sure warranty of 24moths then i think no doubt where to buy.
I chose to buy in sites as i posted or in aliexperes, or from local site name kupujemprodajem, i have sure 1year of warranty, and if i want new battery, i just can go at local service center and ask to put me new battery. even if i have to pay. for such things, it is cheaper to pay then to send phone back to china, and wait extra month, or even two to have phone back.

Yes, but if you change for example your battery at a local dealer (not authorised) - you void your 2 year warranty which is enforced by law. At least for all electronic products for the EU, i suppose Serbia enforces it as well. Keep that in mind.
Dvosjekli mač jel
Summa sumrum, you can change your battery wherever you like, but you lose your 2 year warranty. If i buy a phone from amazon (for example) i have a 2 year warranty by default. If i go and change something without amazon - so if i go to a local guy who can change it i lose the warranty.
you are right, but it is why we have options, to buy phone by lover price, and questioned warranty, or to buy overpriced phone with warranty ( but when it comes too, no we dont accept this, we dont accept that, .... )

Any idea where to get this phone for UK buyer like me. I checked honourbuy https://www.honorbuy.com/1687-xiaom...-blue.html#/option-global_version_6128gb_blue and its coming from Germany which is fine but then in checkout delivery I found additional shipping cost to UK €17.00 added to it.

Yea,that kind of bummed me out a bit too, there not exactly selling the phone at it's cheapest either but if you wanted to get it quick it's an option,I would check eBay,or Amazon if you want the 64gb version,
I haven't found a site that doesn't charge extra for shipping besides eglobal but I find them very dodgy,(though I've heard good things also)

I had a really weird experience with eglobal today that put me off them all together.I added my personal info in and was thinking hard on the 9T in my cart but had to leave the site to get back to work
Got about 10 missed calls throughout the morning from places like Africa,Burundi, Switzerland, definitely scamming attempts ,then this evening got email from eglobal saying I'd left an item in my cart just click here price is 9999,I'm sure if I clicked they would of tried to charge me that.
Looking elsewhere now,but still unsure as have a 6T at the moment but really like the 9T design and cameras. The mi 9 is too similar to my 6T. Also kind of keen on the k20 pro so thinking might be worth waiting for a mi 9T pro

wow... scammers... Burundi in Africa, even Switzerland? wow...are you in UK or where are you. I am in UK.
The decision with 9t is because I dont need all that selfie camera movement, I am fine with simple stuff but then the fact that I cant charge phone and use my head phone at same time is not good.
The its more expensive and yeah... its the headphone input that killed it.
Do you know when Mi 9T pro is coming out?

For Aussies who are looking to buy HTC Touch HD, you might like to know that a Melbourne based ebayer is now selling it bundled with TomTom6 and 8GB MicroSDHC card.
We also get local warranty for buying it here.
I just won one at about AUD1225, after being unsuccesful in the first attempt (the winning bid was AUD1250). All prices are inclusive of GST.
I thought it is not a bad deal. With the current exchange rate, it actually works out to be cheaper than importing from expansys Singapore assuming we can escape import duty. Depend on the exchage rate, it is quite close to importing to UK.
A couple of sellers are offering to let you buy it without bidding at about AUD 1350, also with TT6 (full license with latest Aussie Map) included.
I thought some of us here might be interested in this info.
Cheers.
thansk for yours info

I think that depends on your conversion rate that your credit card charges you.
The key reasons I bought it here was, at worst there is no significant difference in price (Many actually bidded successfully at got it at lower price than I did), you are assured GST is already included, hence no more import duty, local warranty, and inclusion of Tom Tom 6 (legit copy).
Are you sure you get better than that?
I bought one on the Buy it Now option for $1299. Mainly because he has TomTom with AU maps included. Many others are removing the 8Gb card, some even adding a 2Gb card as an offer having taken the 8Gb out!
I bet you were the bugger who outbid me for the 1225 one! ;-)

Actually, those who bidded later got it a lower price.

Well the phone you bought was not Australian stock. Either was mine but i know that. The guy you bought it from basically imported it and is now selling it for a premium. The way i purchased my handset is cutting that middle man out. And since it is not Australian stock it would be interesting to see how this "local warranty" will work out for you. My handset came to under $1000 so i had no gst or import tax. And i have tom tom 7 already so 6 doesn't really appeal to me

Okay, of course, all stocks came from China ultimately. HTC is a Taiwanese company which had manufacturing plants in China. So is Iphone for that matter. IPhone is manufacutred in China by Foxconn, which is another Taiwanese company with factory in China.
Everyone imports and sell for profit. You have paid a differet middleman by buying from Europe, that's all. Unless you buy directly from HTC China, you will have middleman.
I get your point regarding the so called local warranty, though. I hope HTC Australia honor it. If not, this guy might be just be paying for my freight to HTC Hong Kong for servicing I guess.
Have you received your credit card statement, or check it online to find out the conversion rate yet? Usually credit card company's rate is highly unfavourable, so am just curious what did they charge you with.
You're right about TT6. I'm not going to use it either.

Well all up once shipping was paid for i believe it was just under the $1100 mark. I highly doubt that htc will honour that warranty which is why i suggest you contact them asap. Even if my warranty isn't honoured in Austrlia i have a 2 year manufacturer warranty with a store i can send the handset back to. If i need to send it back of course i will pay the cost which is unfortunate. BUT, it is better than having no warranty and no place to send it back to.
i did what davecash did and got mine from Handtec
my credit card came up at AUD$1081
very happy with it so far, exactly what i need for my use. now just gotta suss out some tweaks :-D
Your credit card amount will be an uncertainty especially in this highly volatile time. At the time when I looked at it, I would be paying more than you guys if I had bought it from Handtec.
Another uncertainty was the import duty. Because the amount was bordering around 1000, it may be slightly more than 1000 or slightly less. I would have to live with the possibility of an import duty.
So I decided to bid because I would know for sure what I was going to pay, whereas getting from Handtec I did not know at what exchange rate I would be hit with, and if I would have to pay import duty.
Another thing to bear in mind is, just because you guys paid that amount is no guarentee that another person will be able to get that exchage rate. You know very well that AUssie currency is sliding downward these days.
So, I bidded in ebay.com.au.
I realised that I was impatient and bidded a little higher. This guy got it for much less at AUD1176
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=250324322216
If you're able buying for business, there is also the benefit of the 10% GST input tax that you can offset, I think.
This seller advertised himself as operating in Melbourne, and I made a call to Melbourne, and there was a person there speaking to me. So...
I guess that shop might not be around when I need the warranty, but that would be just the same for Handtec I guess.
So, for all who are buying, weigh all the pros and cons and decide for yourself what you think is the best.
Cheers.
I was bidding on some of those phones too. But was outbid at $1200 at the last moment.
I wound up paying full price.
However, I don't mind as it has local warranty, and given my past experiences with smart phones, that is a must. I can also claim GST, and at today's exchange rate, it would be over the magic $1,000 mark if imported directly.

Did you pay $1349 for the HD? A little expensive I thought.
I get $2000 a year for mobile phone purchase (I own) ontop of my pay packet. The Sony Experia X1 was rolled over to a Director who wanted it after we finished testing it, his Audi Q7 wouldn't sync correctly using bluetooth with Touch Pro (the X1 syncs perfectly). Never had a problem with HTC's phone and my BMW.
My departments budget includes funding to buy, test and use (or not) mobile phones that we believe may be usable within our organisation.

Lucky you, mate. How does Mobicity do the warranty? Do they have to send it overseas or whill HTC Australia do it?
I bought my HD for $1050 total from handtec but that’s no longer possible with the current exchange rate and handtec's price increase.
Note that if you buy it from a "local" seller and need to send it back for warranty, it is highly likely that they will have to send it back overseas to get your phone fixed/replaced. It's not like they stock up on it and can just give you a replacement sent via express post nor can they send it to HTC Australia. That could result in an unfavorable turnaround time.
Regardless, if you want the phone go buy it because once you have it the price is all forgotten. Don't worry about how much you paid or what others got it for and just enjoy the phone.

Your email was from a Mary? She told me that her stock has already been all returned to her supplier because the 8GB MicroSDHC and user manual are missing and she has sourced for the unit from another supplier but the stock are yet to arrive. So she currently has no stock. The stock is shipped out of Hong Kong, and not Sydney. Seems that everyone in Australia is advertising that they have stock, then ship the item out of Hong Kong.
I cancelled my order from the last one I ordered 10 days after payment (supposed to arrive from Melbourne 1-2 days after payment). He has has the wrong stock being returned to his supplier story. But I got the full refund.

Thanks Eaglesteve,
Did you or anyone you know have to pay GST & Duty on this item coming into Australia from Handtec etc..?
Hey I'm going to get an HD2 VERY soon, was just wondering if anyone purchased one from any sellers located in Hong Kong, and if everything was as expected? I Just don't wanna pay for a fake lol.
I suggest not purchasing from a user with low reps, even if they have 100% feedback. If it is something you consider, ive ordered my htc kaiser from hong kong. They used ups, and guess what? When i recieved the phone i got charged atleast 100 from customs, which wasnt needed.. also the box was beat up.
Hope you´ll enjoy the great feeling to get a brick in a box
I once ordered an Universal (anyone remembering it?) from HK a looong time ago. Actually, I go a badly damaged box, had trouble with german customs and the device was a bad chinese copy of something that was was definitely not an universal. How much are you gonna save compared to a purchase in whereever you live?
Sometimes, that is not an option. It wasn't in my case, because nobody in Panama actually sells the HD2, and I think I might be the only person to own one in the entire country.
I generally dont buy these kind of things from Ebay as ive been stung before (even though the loser got caught and is behind bars .
If you must stick to the power sellers, check their feedback, look for volume sellers who have sold many, use paypal for a little more peace of mind in theory etc. good luck.
If you are based in the UK there are plenty of sellers that have got them as afree upgrade. I bought one for £335 in a sealed box and unlocked it to Orange for £7.20.
Someone I know purchased an iPod from a strange ebayer, with good rep, it arrived, looked just like an iPod, but had some weird OS on it which WASNT iPod and very nasty. Just becareful when buying items like this on ebay.
I just want to warn the forum readers from buying phones from the AliExpress-store called Origianl Meizu Store.
The store sells refurbished phones which they claim to be new… The phones has no serial number and the IMEI-numbers are not valid.
Unfortunately I was stupid enough to by a “new” MX4 PRO from them… and I experience a seller that is not interested in helping me. The name of the contact at the store is Kety Wu
My MX4 PRO died today (RIP). There is no way to get in contact with it anymore. It is not possible to turn it on. It does not respond on any combination of keys, and it is not registered when I connect it to my computer
So I opened it... As the pictures shows, it has definately been repaired at some point before it was sold as “new”
I'm sorry to hear that but I'm not surprised. I definitely not recommend to buy any smartphone on aliexpress, only accessories.

I confirm what you said. I bought my first MX4 in this shop and I suspect the same thing. I had no problem with but I have not kept long as it is hard bricked now (its my fault). But many shops sell refurbished on this kind of product I don't recommend to buy through aliexpress.

Aliexpress isn't always bad, there are some good shops out there. Don't blame it on aliexpress, it's just some shops that sell fakes, clones or scam people.
I'm not saying it's always a bad idea. But there are many shops that sell refurbished phones and it's sold as new. Especially since many do not have products in stock, the shipping delays are long. So it is often a bad idea.
yes if i would buy a phone i definitly wouldn't buy it form aliexpress okay i bought here arduino + some parts relays etc. but for that money i wouldn't pay without paypal
All my meizus are bought in Aliexpress and no problem. The key is to buy reliable sellers
Feel free to share your links to shops, personally I'm interested. And I want to say that often it is not clear that this is a refurbished product, I'm not noticed before disassembly. I even had a sticker that sealed the box...
I have bought 4 meizus from this shops and no problem:

http://es.aliexpress.com/store/1194377
One thing you can do to check if the phone is reburfished is to see if the imei of the box matches with the imei of the phone.
aliexpress store NO COSTUM!!!!
i bought mine here : http://www.aliexpress.com/store/342812
if you order from here there is no TAX to EU and DHL shipping is basic.
my MX5 PRO is new (but i guess there are not much refurbished one yet)
seller communicative.
I agree with snoopyrider80.
I ordered a Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and it got delivered in 8 days, no customs no import tax. What they do is ship from China to the England and from England they then repackage it and ship it to the rest of Europe. And since England is part of Europe, there is no import tax or customs. I can recommend that particular shop also.
So, i notice sites like Giztop and Aliexpress sell the Chinese variant of OnePlus 8 Pro for very cheap. Around 800-900 bucks. and they advertise with "global rom" What does this mean? Can they actually flash on a real Global ROM, entirely supported by OnePlus already on the CN versions? What do i lose by getting a CN version over a global version that i can buy in a store in my country for 1100bucks?
I am torn on buying a OnePlus 8 Pro CN version for 850bucks or the Sony Xperia 1 Pro for 1200dollars global from my country. But that is quite the price difference. On the other hand, i'm scared of the supposed massive OP 8 Pro screen issues? are those more prevalent on the CN versions? i see people reporting major loss in max screen brightness, calibration being way off, green tints etc etc? Hoping someone here can give some reassurance. I feel like the safe option is the Sony, but yeah dunno.
If you're buying the device from "abroad" recommend you send flowers first.

So it doesn't matter if i get the Chinese version or not? It's still the same rom as the 2025 global? There is no difference at all?
Ok let's get this straight..
First and foremost.
No one, in any situation unless you want to our feel like losing all your money, should order anything from the likes of Ali Express.
The clue is in the name.
if you want a Oneplus phone, then order it from the correct channels.
Or get it on contract, or be ready to sit through a total turd storm when you need to return to sender.
The likes of Ali Express shouldn't even be mentioned in XDA im amazed that you've been allowed to name this thread.
Ali Express is one toe dipped into the dark web, recognizable by the amount of bad deals you think you're going to get but don't.
Short answer??
Avoid Ali, period.
Pay for the phone you want and stop spreading misinformation, unless you're in China and in a OnePlus sellers shop..
Modem is probably the key factor. The band support is what you'll need.
I, too, have wondered also. iN2020 supports n41 5g but not sure if that's the same 41 that Tmo uses. If so, that would be great

Mate, what are you talking about. Nothing about this post was even remotely true. AliExpress is pretty reputable. It's basically the Chinese Amazon. This isn't the wild west days of 2010 with Chinese e-commerce.
I order stuff off AliExpress all the time. 99% of time something arrives as advertised. When it doesn't - I just open a claim and I get my money back. Items take longer these days to arrive due to ePacket and covid-19 - but I always get what I ordered.
I think you might be thinking of Alibaba, which also in turn has dramatically improved in the last few years.

Its the Chinese model (IN2020) with global ROM (IN11AA)
The same ROM as the IN2025 model
I will also order one next month..
You could also try Wonda Mobile, they are based in Hong Kong. They have a complete section of faq on the actual device, the only main difference would be the bands like 5g. They also have a section which lists them so have a look at that to make sure your network supports it.
I bought a OnePlus 8 Pro from Giztop and it's the Chinese version with Oxygen OS on it. I immediately regret it and now I can't return it. If you're in the US, don't do it.

No option to return if you change your mind even paying a restocking fee?

I was looking at it when you couldn't get one in the US. The bands (n71 and n41) were the issue.
So far, have not seen any post from anyone in US TMO that has one that works on LTE and 5G over here.

Ya, 41 is on iN2020 but not sure if it's actually the same 41 here in U.S.

Yeah - that's an issue, but 6000 mhz n71 is also big , as it both supports LTE and 5G. I didn't see that at all.

I can't afford to be without a phone for a month maybe more. My job requires me to have a cell phone and my note 5 backup finally died on me. So I'm stuck with this phone unfortunately

Well, for one I'm missing a few bands compared to the IN2023 version. That's the most important thing to me. Two, I honestly feel like the 5g is not as strong due to me missing those bands.
Hey, just to give my 2 cents about ordering this phone from China....
Just did it and went for the 12/256 Ultramarine Oneplus 8 Pro at the end of April for about $930 USD, shipping included, on AliExpress.
Took a LONG time to arrive to me (6 weeks!) BUT... Phone is perfect, no defect, screen is gorgeous and nothing wrong with it, even though it is probably a "first batch" unit. Got a Chinese IN2020 unit flashed by seller with Global ROM (came with 10.5.3 or 10.5.4 ROM out of the box), had a pre-applied (plastic) screen protector that will allow me to wait a few more days/weeks to get my UV 3D glass screen protectors for a better protection and better light transmittance. Unit looked new, with all the packaging (even though it was flashed to Global ROM by seller, but still, they managed to make it look like it has never even been turned on, as the phone box itself was still fully wrapped/sealed with plastic).
Once turned on, immediately updated to 10.5.8 Global without any problem, unlocked bootloader, booted to latest TWRP, Rooted of course and applied my usual Magisk modules, as well as flashed a custom kernel (Omega, to be precise). Tweaked my unit to my desire, installed a Gcam to have more options regarding photography, and... well ,that's all, mate!
Nothing much to say, except I'm delighted by my purchase and by this phone for now! Coming from a Oneplus 5T with custom Android Q ROM, it is a BIG step ahead and definitely impressive piece of hardware. However, in terms of speed, can't say the difference is huge (sure, OP8 Pro is faster, but not by a 100X, not even a 2X factor when you use it normally).
If you have an opportunity to buy the Chinese version at a good price from AE or any other reseller, offering some warranty in case something goes wrong during transportation or with the unit itself of course, and if you are not able to get it from your local store (it was and still is not easily available in my country at a decent price right now), then go on and do it! Just remember, unless you go for DHL or other fast shipping carrier, you'll have to be patient.
Cheers!
Hello, i ordered the OnePlus 8 Pro from Amazon Spain and i found out that there is no tpu case in the box. Maybe they forget to put one in ?
Anyway, i contacted Amazon about that and they told me that they cannot do anything since this case is not sold separately, maybe they can give me a gift card if i insist but i just want the case which is supposed to be included.
After that, i contacted OnePlus Live Chat and they pointed me at Amazon which was the seller after all. I even told them that i can pay for the case but they did not sell it, so again there is no solution. I searched AliExpress, eBay etc. but i cant find this case anywhere!
What should i do now?

So let me get this correct. You buy a phone that didn't come with a case? You contacted the seller? You contacted OnePlus? You're willing to purchase one? Do I have everything correct so far? So why not just buy one instead of wasting your breath on here because we can't do anything about it.

OP mentioned he's been looking everywhere for it but can't find the specific one that comes in the box
You should behave sent it back because it was incomplete.
After that order a new one!
I bought it on Amazon Spain and everything is correct. bad luck yours.
I also bought it 2 weeks ago on Amazon Spain and the tpu case was included, what a big mistake

I bought the phone from Amazon and there was no case in the box. OnePlus now responded that they will send me a free sandstone case that will arrive this Monday 13/7.
Anyway I still think that this is ridiculous for a 1000€ phone, at least the after sales experience was good.
Lol get a refund

It's not a good case, it discolours as all transparent cases do.
Grab a mofi, Ringke, mous, Spigen, UAG, Rhino.
Every one of them will look better and offer more protection.
If you really want it you can have mine I'll never use it again.
