OP5 stock - suggestions? - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone!
I've a Oneplus 5 with the latest stock build (android 10), with only the bootloader onlocked, and I'm finally thinking about finally rooting it and spin a custom rom.
I've seen there are a lot of resources about rooting, with different versions of the twrp, etc that I think are not super up-to-date, do you have some links to guides that I should follow? (I'm not new to modding, but still, every device has its own quirks :] )
I was thinking about installing the pixel experience 12 (android 12) do you have any feedback or suggestions for other roms?
Thanks!

New to Androids, New to custom ROMs

Hello world!
As you see im a proud new android user, im a big newb, came from apple side. So, my xiaomi user friend just flashed a custom rom in his phone, and told that he saw big difference regarding the speed and the battery of the phone.
The thing is that, i have no idea about those things, i curently have Android 6, EMUI 4.1.1 installed on my phone, and i wanted to know if i can install any better ROM in there. I have my p9 lite nearly a year now, and the battery consumption is getting worse. What do you suggest? Thanks!
Out there you can try CyanogenMod13, ResurrectionRemix MM, SlimRom MM, LineageOS 14.1, ResurrectionRemix Nougat, Paranoid Android 6.0.1.
If you want to try out some ROMs there are quite a lot, if your aim is to save battery I suggest you a Marshmellow(6.0) ROM with Xposed and Amplify because the Nougat ROMs drains the battery a little more.
If you decide to try some ROMs, save your bootloader unlock code because you may need it in the future and follow these instruction carefully when you install for the first time a custom ROM: http://www.meticulus.co.vu/p/hi6250-custom-rom-installation.html
Huawei is a little complicated but if you follow these instruction you will be able to install ROMs without problems.

Slightly slow performance on stock Nexus 10

Hi guys
I've picked up a used Nexus 10 from a relative and factory reset it. I'm happy to start fresh as i realise unlocking the bootloader for rooting will do so.
I'm not in need of the latest version of Android but wondered if i installed maybe a nougat rom it would perform better than stock with things like Kodi running. Is there an overclocking rom or kernel?
I haven't played with custom roms or overclocking for a few years but remember a Nexus is a little easier than some other devices.
Any help or advice would be welcome, cheers

LG Nexus 4 Best ROMS and Mods

Hello XDA:
I am getting a Nexus 4 in the mail mainly as a rootable and rommable phone, but also as a backup. Can you all point me in the direction of a good, stable, official ROM that is good enough to be used as a daily driver, and also the most functional mods to go along with those ROMs. I also need help with rooting it and unlocking the bootloader.
Thanks in advance!!!
Jacob
I use CrDroid daily and without bugs, for root and unlocking bootloader use Nexus Root Toolkit v2.1.9... The rom that I mentioned before comes with root..
AICP 11 with quanta v20 on f2fs for data and cache. I can provide aicp if yoy you wish as its quite hard to find, it is a cm based rom, runs great with magisk

There are a few pie options for this phone. I haven't tried any yet. Just read all the threads they all have descriptions of what is in the room. So you have to do some research to figure out what is best for you. And I can't stress this enough. Read read read the directions for installing. There are a few extra steps involved in flashing pie because of the change to the filesystem or encryption or something. Also there is a fix if your phone has experienced the boot loop issue.
Personally I am waiting for los 16 because I know it will be be stable not saying the others are not but los is just what I have been using and cm before that so that's where I am comfortable. Good luck and happy flashing
I'm running the Pixel Experience ROM on my Nexus 6P. It's a really good ROM and works great!
I have tried all Pie roms for 6P, and by far all of that works quite perfectly. There're still some minor bugs like Volte not working or Wifi hospot broken, but overall almost all Pie roms is solid enough for daily use. In my opinion, you can flash any of them, all are very good, but I prefer unofficial AOSiP Pie because it provides a lot of customizations.

This is what I found in my bookmarks. It can't be the latest ROM, but it could be a start for you. It has all the info and links you'll need. Good luck.

I can't help you much with that, but you should have an easier time finding a decent ROM for your model (N9208) than I had for the N920P, a real orphan of the Note5 series. That phone is my only exposure to the Samsung world, and I have to admit my surprise how different, and fragmented, I found that world to be from all my prior experience (mostly Motorola phones). Having said that, from what I've read in the past month while chasing information about the "P" model, most talked about are Havoc and Bliss ROMs, but here is also Floyd Note8 ROM which only lists a problem with NFC for your model. Good luck.
