So I´ve had this problem since I installed Lineage 2 years ago. After some months I always end up with the storage full and removing things does not free nearly any space.
The first thing I notice was a couple .thumbnail files of around 2GB that when removed would not free up space. I solved that but there´s still a problem somewhere.
I tried with adb and I found out that the /sbin folder is 22GB and sdcard is just 9.3GB but the biggest file in sbin is only 144k. The comands I used to get the size where du -ks -a /* in the root folder, then du -ks -a ./* in sbin and agan in sbin ls -all but i can´t find the 22G file/folder, any sugestions on how to solve this? I tried removing sbin but it didn´t work. I leave a couple images here. The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab a6 Wifi, model t580 with lineage 16.0.
Root (sdcard reports 0 cause its a link to a folder in /storage so the true size is similar to storage):

Please, I need a lot of help,
I have a MB 525 (I've given a searched around here and couldn't find anything!)
I installed the CM9 (CM9-NIGHTLY-120902-Defy) and I can not install any type of application, nor by APK's and not by GOOGLE PLAY for one simple reason, the ROM is unable to recognize the internal memory of the phone (the sd card it's all OK) and I also can't install them directly on the SD card, since I can't install the APP2SD I'll show you guys a picture.
Oh, and also the OS restarts often without any apparent reason.
Please help me!
(And if I'm posting this somewhere wrong forgive me, to very desperate and still do not know very well this forum thanks for the time ....)

The same has happened to me, exactly same! Did you do the factory reset? I did and got this problem. Probably Sndinit was in the internal memory and got wiped because of factory reset. I got this problem after factory reset. Somebody help please!
so i safestrapped and flashed jellybeans on one of the safestrap slots and everything was great.
i hadnt done anything major to my phone but i had a bunch of hidden files (mostly photos) in two files. one was stuff hidden directly from the gallery (select>move>"file name") and it worked great. no problems. another was a

two days ago, all of the sudden, gone. cant see it in the dialog when i try to move media in my gallery. i found the file in es file explorer and its empty. same with my backup file. what the hell?
i havent done anything major to my phone.what would cause this? how do i get them back?!

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my Galaxy S4 Duos I9502, somehow I can't save any file/picture from internet to Download folder, only original app like Browser is able to save file !!!
Ex : Whenever I try to save an image in Firefox/Chrome, it shows an error as below :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What I have tried so far :
- Root the phone and use Root Explorer to check the permission of "Download" Folder, it is --rw--rw--r-, tried to change the "other" to RW but failed.
- Wipe cache/davik code - not solve
- Factory reset/ Wipe data - not solve
- Clean everything and re-flash the stock rom still not succeed ((
Really appreciated If you have any idea on how to solve this problem.
I managed to solve the issue by using Terminal Emulator and put in below commands :
su ->enter
restorecon -R -v /data/media/0
was wondering, i have followed a few tuts on how to manually fix sd card permissions.
"
Using a root-enabled file manager (like ES file explorer), navigate to /system/etc/permissions
Edit platform.xml and find the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
Add an additional group definition for this permission: <group gid=”media_rw” />
Save the changes to the file.
Restart the phone."

done this several times, always have to reformat card and re apply.
seems that when i reboot my phone the permissions files gets jacked up and i have to re edit it and reformat card. then works for a while, seems to happen when powering off phone or rebooting it. have SU, busybox pro, and triangle away installed on device
any ideas? was stock root 4.4.3 sphl720.
i have a note 2 on the way and want to get this sorted before i start tinkering. thanX in advance
I've checked the permission on device/etc/permission/platform.xml and its no problem as u can see the photo i put below....but it is say that my sd card is not writeable while im using csr screen recorder and some other application..

Apps aren't installed to /system, they are installed to /data and it says you have 30GB free so you're fine.

Thanks for replying, now. I wonder how does "system" gets full?
/system should not be your concern unless you root your phone.
this is used exclusively for system files, and data here is only changed when you install a system update.
the manufacturer will make sure no update will ever cause the system storage to fill up completely.
