Hello guys,
I used couple android phones earlier and after i kept installing many apps, i ran out of system space in my phone though i had enough internal memory in my phone. So i tries to use xda apps ( forgot names) to move apps and clean up space.
1 I am wondering where do these app get installed in my S8?
2 if i keep updating apps or if i keep installing new apps, will i run out of space?
Please check screenshot from S8 below:

Apps aren't installed to /system, they are installed to /data and it says you have 30GB free so you're fine.

Thanks for replying, now. I wonder how does "system" gets full?
/system should not be your concern unless you root your phone.
this is used exclusively for system files, and data here is only changed when you install a system update.
the manufacturer will make sure no update will ever cause the system storage to fill up completely.

Im not entirely sure how much the 16gb Nexus4 should have available but my device is running out of space. Out of the 13gb partition I only have 4gb available.

That space quote is with only 1 clockwork backup.
How are you coming up with 10GB?
Use the app Diskusage to see what's eating up your space. Seriously, everybody should have this app.

For the sdcard, DiskUsage will report this space as 'System Data'
If you have root, which you probably have, you can point DiskUsage at directories outside of the SDCard to see where your space went.
So my SM-G900H keeps giving me the "internal storage running out" warning even though in storage settings it says I have 14.98gb of free space. I also took out the SD card now to eliminate that factor and still this message is there. It doesn't let me install apps because it says there isn't enough storage space for them. However, it still Downloads the app no problem, error pops up when it tries to install it. I went through the whole internet and couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Thanks!

The entire internet, huh? How long did that take you to do?
Anyway, back to reality - a forum search usually fixes issues like this. It's a good habit to actually search before posting, as it often gives you an instant answer. And at least lets you pose better informed questions.
Try the solution in the top search result. And failing that, restore a backup or write a 100% stock firmware image to the phone to correct obscure system corruption.

I cant see anything I should delete...

Delete apps that you're not using like Kies, Themes that you don't use (in case you have themes feature enabled, etc.
some are in priv-app folder, others in "apps" folder.

Did them all, Didnt work.
Flashed stock rom with a PIT, and then flashed the custom Rom. Did all my tweaks and mods same as before,.. and now I have 1.7GB left as free space.
My memory card today told me I was running low which I found odd.
Upon checking I noticed System Data was taking over 20GB of room.
Before using this memory card on this phone I formatted it as set it up for external use
I have been searching on google for a while and cant find any reason for this or how to fix it
Any ideas?
thanks

Found a fix
From your phone dialler, dial *#9900#
Tap on Delete dumpstate/logcat and it will show you dump result. Click okay and exit and reboot
Dial *#9900#
is working for some mobiles only.
Not for all. Others are still finding it difficult to get rid of insufficient memory message popping up when updating apps.
This problem is big and most users are suffering.
No other way than to format a mobile / factory reset.
*#9900# doesn't work on AOSP roms -.-
Edit:
Unplugging the MicroSD card, putting it into a Windows PC, and putting it back to Android changed the files. They showed up as Found.00 and i could delete them.
After I successfully installed this rom (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/development/rom-havoc-3-0-gsi-fixed-build-huawei-t4014127) on my WAS-LX1 I have been getting an error message saying that I don't have sufficient internal storage when I actually have 20GB storage left. I have tried to reinstall the rom and tried to install a new one (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/development/rom-lineageos-17-1-huawei-p10-lite-t4064115) and I still keep getting the same message. I resized every partition I could on twrp but nothting happened. Although I can download certain apps, most of playstore apps keep giving me the same error. Moreover Chrome keeps crashing, and I can't use the camera. I have searched it on google and I tried to clean cache and storage from google play services and play store but it wasn't fixed. Is there any way to fix this?
