I've struggled to find any guides on how to restock my tablet. The newer ROM's bluetooth doesn't work which I need.
I found that there is a Lenovo tool which you can use to restock your tablet. link

Hi!
Can someone guide me little with rootting and installing new android on IdeaPad A1000L-F?
I've found a lot of guides, but none of those are for this wlan model only, I think? I would be so happy, if someone could tell me how and what can I do with this. Current android (4.1) is so outdated, that I cant stand this. And latest games don't even install on this version.
Thanks!
Edit: Got my tab rooted with one click root, but what now?
any help yet? i have same tablet and same question:silly:
Nothing yet, sorry. We'll see, maybe someone gives us a little advice soon. Hope so!
First, you'd have to port a recovery (cwm or twrp) to your device and fastboot flash it.
You'll have to use a repo for aosp, cm, miui, or other and make a rom.
The a1000l source code is available here: http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/a1000_tablet?tabname=downloads
You will need that in your venture.
Unfortunately, this is just not a popular tablet. I bought one for my daughter and rooted it, but that's about as far as I will go with it.
Good luck!
It looks like recovery is already available for T, F, models. I'm not certain if this will translate over to G, L models or not:

I think this recovery is not compatible for A1000L-F 8Gb model?
Version of the A1000-F can earn. Use at your own risk, no one has tested it.

The only "custom" ROM I have found is just a modified version of stock. This means no version upgrade:

I am unable to get flashtool working from those threads and fastboot is not detecting the device in Windows or Linux. I was hoping to "fastboot boot recovery.img" in order to do some testing, but no luck right now. I'll mess around some other time...
I've got working CWM on my A1000L-F thanks to the links in this thread:

Lenovo has only released broken source so compiling 4.2+ will be too much of a hassle for an $80 tab that my daughter uses...
Hello all,
The Yoga 10 and S6000-F seem to share the exact same specs (aside from the batteries), so the question is whether one could safely flash the 4.4 rom onto the S6000 to partake in the Kitkat goodness?
I don't believe this question has been asked before, but if it was, my apologies in advance. Thank you.
I also considering about installing Yoga Tablet 10 Firmware to S6000-H but flashing this version would be corrupt maybe device
I've a spare s6000 I'm willing to try it on if someone could point me to KK download and a guide to install it. I'm used to CWM/TWRP so not a complete n00b but have only rooted my s6000.
Anyone? Willing to accept CWM backup of your tablet if you've just wiped it before doing a backup.
Many thanks
Adrian
Finally managed to download the Yoga firmware from the Russian site. Tried to install just the boot.img and recovery.img - borked the tablet. Fortunately I know how to use fastboot and managed to recovery it with a backup I made earlier.
So, it might be possible mucking about with scatter files etc but just a plain old install won't work. You have been warned.
Many thanks
Adrian
Thank you very much for your try. Too bad just the install of Yoga firmware didn't work, maybe that would have been a to easy solution for us S6000 user.
So there's no much hope left for an upgrade or custom firmware left I think.
Android L should be out soon so I've started looking at that. Ideally MTK will release the proper drivers etc. - here's hoping...
Many thanks
Adrian
Hello,
I need to reinstall my tablet and I searched a lot here about custom rooms, which does not exists on this device. Thats why I want to reinstall official rom/stock rom and I found at official lenovo site this: pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-tablet-2-1050/downloads/ds102874
Is this what I want and is possible to install this without flash? I cannot find any tutorial for this. And which format is that rar file at lenovo site? Need's to be "converted" to .img file?
Lenovo TAB M10 is a cheap 10" tablet. It seems that currently there are no custom ROMs for it. Given the fact that Lenovo will probably never provide software update for it, without custom ROM, it will become a paperweight fast.
So, I wonder how likely if someone creates an unofficial LineageOS build for it in about a year or so. Are Lenovo's tablets generally hard to create a custom ROM for?
Let's say that it would be nice to have a custom rom, but first a recovery would help.
I am trying to develop something, but unfortunately I have no experience building the vendor/device folders required, fundamental to perform this activity.
Moreover, considering that the device is still pretty new, I don't know.
Tbh, I was thinking about installing debian or archlinux on it: mine has no 3g, and a pure Linux would likely extend the device supported
Any updates to M10 custom ROMs...?
The partial good news is that Lenovo has actually provided an Android 10 update, and TWRP is available for the M10. As far as I can tell there are still no custom roms though; I'd love to put LineageOS on it.
M10 FHD Plus user here... I've unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp and magisk, but where can I find custom roms?
I flashed Ubuntu Touch on my M10 FHD Plus a few days ago. The process was alright, though I had some trouble using SP flash utility. Didn't need to use TWRP. Charging is abysmally slow, so there's definitely room for improvement of the ROM's compatibility with the device.

SP flash V5 works better than v6, at least on my linux machine.

Any news to this so far? I found a guide on tweakdroid but to me that looks like it's autogenerated nonsense. I would try it though, if nothing comes up anywhere else
I would like to buy it... Is it dead in modding?
Hello,
So I got a Lenovo Smart Tab (yt-x703f) and really want to flash TWRP to it, so I can flash LineageOS rom, but it seems like there's no support for it, or even a subthread on XDA.
(I tried various twrp images)
Anyone got some experience with that tablet and have something working?
Cheers
For some reason this device gets the silent treatment on all fora. I can't figure out why, this could be a great multimedia device with some adjustments. batt life is great as is the sound. Screen is ok ish and the speed needs to be tweaked, but no one is willing to tweak
You can root the device and even flash a GSI on it. Tested myself and everything is working
Yoga Smart Tab - Iron GreyPart Number: ZA3V0005US
Not sure if we are talking about the same device but lenovo does not support their mid tier devices with OS updates and would like to install a bloatless OS also pie is really dated and wondering if i will run in to issues with app compatibility. There is also that issue where it won't run HD in netflix because netflix is a static app and can not be removed and reinstalled. Hence bloatware and would love a clean google experience.

Flashing a GSI might help if the device supports Project Treble. Basically any device launched with Android 8 and above should support Project Treble.
Hi, I have a Lenovo Yoga smart tab (YT-X705L) and I want to install a new rom on it. I’m not an IT wizard so I need help with that. Would you find anyone who can give step-by-step instructions from start to finish with download links.
And if you can find experiences on how anything works (which is GSI). Thanks in advance.

Hello @mrfreakFIN . I have made a detailed thread about flashing GSI on this tablet. Check it here
