hey! is there a bug free version of youtube for the fire tablet?
the official youtube apk keeps freezing when I switch to my subscriptions and the one Amazon provides is worse than the mobile website!
Get the Google Play framework/services/account manager/store APK files on your device, then just download the official YouTube tablet app from there.
YouTube and most other Google apps rely on the Play Services to function properly.
I use YouTube Vanced :[Magisk] iYTBP - Youtube Vanced [Official]

Doesn't Vanced require Magisk? I thought you couldn't run Magisk on the Fire 7th gens?

No- it doesn't require anything. I use it on a Fire HD8 (and everything else since it kills all the ads). You can check out the features here:[Magisk] iYTBP - Youtube Vanced [Official]
Mod Edit - No longer applies.

Standard YouTube tablet app, from Play Store (needs to be installed separately).

if it no longer applies does that mean I don't have to sign in? No link anywhere in this thread anymore so I hope so.
came back to my Fire HD 8 (2017) after months to give to my father. running great with play store and bloat removed thanks to the Tool provided here
My only issue is I cant update it (which isn't surprising after running a tool like that) and for some reason cant install any apks unless form the app store (amazon store is gone) The installing apks part was new. Don't recall that being an issue. i even have "install from unknown sources" allowed in security and toggled it off and on between reboots.
My work around for Vanced and MicroG was throwing the apks in "Bloatware removal root folder"\Apps and then editing the Fire Tool.bat to include new option to install microg and vanced. I just copied the install commands for launcher/hijacker and edited to push the new APKs. very simple and worked perfectly.
Didn't try to logging in yet, was going to let me father try to use his account. If we can't it's not a deal breaker. ad free youtube on his tablet will work great. Really regretted buying this tablet at first but after XDAs help, its the best little tablet that could for under 50$.
PS. As for Vanced. Use it on my non-rooted One Plus 6 phone and love it. It's where I got the idea to install it on this tablet. Only odd thing is I installed the same apk on my phone as the tablet. The one on my phone applies the proper dark theme but the tablet doesn't. Again, not a deal breaker.

There is a Vanced mod for Magisk, but you can also go to the Vanced thread on XDA and download and install the non root Vanced. Apk that works on anything, along with the MicroG.apk in order to be able to sign into YouTube. I don't believe you need the MicroG.apk if you are rooted.
Anyone figure out a way to update Prime Video? The app installed with the stock rom is pretty old and missing some features. I have tied to uninstall it and install the latest apk from the play store or apk mirror, but no luck. It installs fine but when you try to open the app it just flashes and then closes. Installing as a system app doesn't help either. Any ideas? This is on a rooted 2017 HD 10

What do you mean exactly? Google Play should update all the sideloaded Google services and apps.
Gang, is there a google phone app available for the 1+8pro? Maybe a port that can be used?
Thanks in advance.
Yes for sure. You have just to search it on xda. There is a version that works on almost all the devices

I'm using the Google Phone app downloaded from the play store. If you are rooted you can install Google Dialer Framework using Magisk and it should let you download the app. I had to clear data for Google Play Services and reboot a couple of times first but no problems after that.
I am not rooted, noted.
Thanks.
The Nord device has the stock dialer, anyone know if that will or can be installed on the 8 pro?
Hi everyone!
I've installed some apps via apkmirror on my fire hd 8 (7th gen) that can't be launched without google play store.
Is there a way to make them work on my tablet without having google play store installed on my device?
Thank you in advance for your help and tips !!:good:
