I have a Samsung S10+ (SM-G975F) that was flashed with stock Android 10 from Telstra (Australia).
However, I'm in the U.K.!
How do I fix this? The phone won't update OTA and I don't really want to root it.
How can I use heimdall to flash it on Linux? (No access to a Windows machine for Odin)
I downloaded a rom from Sammobile for Android 12 / United Kingdom O2 (which is the network I'm on)
but it's a .zip file and Heimdall doesn't even look at it.
I can't adb sideload the .zip as the phone sits there for ages and does nothing.
If I try to load the .zip from sdcard the phone does nothing with it and powers down.
Any ideas?

I tried to change the CSC using *#272*<MY IMEI NUM>* but I just get "Unknown Application"
Well, I ended up bricking it. Tried flashing with Heimdall, it got halfway through .. when it hit system the USB shut down and refused to talk to the phone. Meanwhile, the phone had a message: "OEM lock" and wouldn't install the new system.
Now the phone won't even power on. Tried hard reset, recovery mode, safe mode.. nothing works. Just a blank screen. Battery was at full power too.

I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 that I purchased online. It turns out that the Android firmware (4.4.2) does not match the phone's CSC code. I have been trying to flash a stock ROM for Android 5.0.1 that *does* match the phone's CSC code, but Mobile Odin won't proceed. My phone is properly rooted, and Mobile Odin starts correctly, but when I try to open the tar.MD5 file, it says "Partition could not be found in file." It did let me wipe the phone, and the phone properly booted up again in 4.4.2. What can I do to make this work?
Would it help to flash an Android 4.4.2 that matches the phone's CSC? Is there something else I can try? I'm fairly new at this kind of hacking, but I'm learning quickly! Here are my phone's details:
Android version: 4.4.2
Product Code: GT-I9505ZKAXSG
Original CSC Code: XSG
Firmware CSC: XSG
PDA Version: I9505XXUGNG2
Bootloader Version: I9505XXUGNG2

Thanks for any help you can offer. Oh, also, just to make clear, I cannot connect this phone to a desktop with a USB cord -- I have tried every possible variety of driver install, and #$%&* Windows will not recognize the phone.
Let's verify your phone model. Enter download mode (power, volume down, and the home button) and read off the device's model number at the top left of the screen. As to the driver issue, you really want to get that resolved. Download the driver from here and install it.
If you do not want your phone to be bricked, I suggest you stay away from Mobile Odin.
Use FlashFire instead. Same principe, only newer.

Thanks for your help. The phone model listed in download mode is GT-I9505.
I tried the driver that you linked to, but it didn't work--I suspect when my phone once fell off a table while plugged into the charger, the phone connection got damaged. I can charge the battery just fine, but connecting to a computer through the cord is no longer possible. However, I have been successfully transferring stock ROM files onto the phone with the Software Data Cable app.
Then replace the connector. That board is separate from the motherboard and shouldn't be too expensive.
Hi, I recently became a Galaxy S6 Edge+ as a gift, which is stuck on the Samsung Logo (blinking). I am not new to flashing Firmware and Roms (came from the HTC HD2 and Dell Streak 5), but everything I do, I can not come through this. Now I need your help, since it's my first Samsung device. Maybe I have something forgotten?
My device:
SM-G928F with Regional Code AUT (free Switzerland firmware) --> Also Samsung Smart Switch shows me this AUT Version (but it wont recognize it, shows it after typing in the serial)
What have I done:
Samsung Smart Switch does not recognize it.
The last 24 hours I have downloaded the firmware through SamFirm 4 times, I have flashed the phone via Odin about 8 times, after the flashs I have wiped the cache and resettet data (full wipe) through the recovery. One time, the phone came to the android optimatization, but it was stuck on the last app (was 30 minutes on this), after reboot it was stuck on the Samsung logo.
Now I need your help. What can I do further? Do I missed something? Any ideas?
Something strange I noticed: When the phone is off and I plug it in to the wall, the battery drains. I have to put the phone to Download-Mode to charge it. Is it linked to the firmware problem? The charger is original Samsung.
So, I flashed TWRP, the Note7 Deodexed Rom and SkyHigh kernel, but it's the same... any sugestions?
I read about a pit file, what is that? May be this the solution?
What I did the last 3 houers was to test Smart Switch With the mac version, the rescue function did not work, the hole program crashed each time. On the windows version it suceed, but my phone is showing just the blinking Samsung logo. Every now and then it vibrates, but nothing happens, so I am at the start of the problem again. Any ideas?
Next update: I flashed the original firmware with a pit file 3 minutes ago. I learned a lot, learnt that the pit files are the partition-files. Now I'm hoping, that with the new partitions it will boot properly :good: . Stay tuned!
Still the same issue. Please help me
Whenever I start the Recovery, it says "installing system update" and then there is a dead Android, does this matter?
A 4 part firmware with pit file did not help. I downloaded another Firmware from another source, also the same. Now I will do a downgrade and look, if this helps. Pleeeeease, help me!
Infos from the download mode:

CA_Type: CA_3
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System status: Custom

Maybe the TWRP Log helps: There are errors in writing, is there something missing? It is the original firmware, with the newest TWRP and SuperSU installed. Still stuck on Samsung (animated) logo.
Listen do you have windows on ur mac i use parallels
but do you have windows anyhoe

Hello,
I'm quite new here, but not with flashing.
My son got an S6 Edge plus too, with almost the same problem.
I tried also almost anything, the last few days.
ADB sideload, Odin several versions.
It started out with FRP lock.
After I tried al I could find I think it bricked.
And now it is in the state as described above.
Only first screen and draining the battery if not in download mode.
And when I put it on USB cable it says: "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
But Smart Switch doesn't recognise the phone!
I can however get the phone in download mode by pushing vol. down, power and home and then vol up.
But in Odin only works: Pit, CP and CSC.
With AP and BL I get errors and fails.
Please help?
For me AP and BL works with Odin. I am a step furhter now. First I flashed with the option: Erase All Nand. Then I installed TWRP and a made a repair for the System and the Caches partitions. With SuperSU installed, and the caches wiped (manual, dalvik and normal caches), it says "Android is starting, Optimizing Apps" and then "Androis is starting, Starting Apps" on a blue screen and when it loads to the end, it is stuck there.
.You get only the first Samsung S6 Edge+ Screen? Then the system files are missing, there is no OS to start (flashed with AP in Odin). Your flash problem sound quite strange. Did you test another cable?
If you want to do it with Smart Switch, the phone should be in download mode. I also had to try it several times. Did you installed the drivers?
@ KatariaMax: I have Windows and Mac PCs, no Parallels. Does it work with Parallels?
So, one problem less. With the Audax rom and kernel, the phone charges normally (but not with Quickcharge), so I don't have to put the phone to download mode. But here is the same problem, after "starting apps" it is stuck. I will do a log from the install, maybe this helps.
@ HugoGroot: Maybe the second post could be the solution for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/s6-bricked-t3497687
I read about Sony devices, which are in a bootloop because of the battery. Could this be possible also for Samsung devices? I have bought a battery, just to be sure. Any other suggestions?
I found the problem here: https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z3-Compact/Continuous-Restart-and-Optimizing-Apps/td-p/1020656
Hi all,
since one day i´m totally wrecked up with my SM-G935F. On Monday morning the display was frozen. I looked in some forums and used odin to flugh the newest version (7) to the phone. After clearing the cache it worked quite well for about 3 hours then freezed again. Since that i´ve tried so many options, all leading to nothing ;( I´m quite sure that there must be a solution and hope for your help.
The actual status is:
The phone shows the Galaxy S7 Edge screen, then the "Installing system update". This crashed every time (no command) and then a black screen is shown with some information in the upper half:
No Support SINGLE-SKE
Supported API:3
# Manual Mode #
-- Appling Multi CSC --
Applied the CSC-code: DBT
Successfully applied multi-CSC
Successfully verify for dmverity hast tree
Sometimes after waiting it jumps to the "bootloader". The normal way with the volume up + power+ home is not working at the moment or i´m doing something wrong.
I´ve tried a few fixes:
-> downloaded the newest Firmware, an older version and the oldest one from sammobile and install via odin
Normal install in AP via Odin stuck an recovery.imgI renamed the file without md5, open it and extracted the files. From there i tried to single upload them (boot, system and recovery) It freezes at system...
-> flash home file first with odin
it stucks on RQT Close and don´t finish
-> install new firmware via SD Card
frp lock denied the installation. Get error: E: signature verification failed
-> samsung smart switch and kies
both not working. I´m not even able to make the software initializing because it tells me that my phone (SM-G935F) is not supported... WTF....
-> install CWM recovery via adb
I´ve tried to install an other revocery tool without success. I tried the ways via Odin and adb, both collapsing with the error of activated frp lock
-> TWRP recovery via adb
Same like CWM. The Binary Upload is denied trough frp-lock
-> Whipe cache from fastboot
I whiped the cache several times without anything changing
-> factory reset from fastboot
It says that factory reset was successful but data could not be wiped. It also changes nothing....
From my nooby perspective i would:
-> unlock the frp
-> install custom recovery
-> unlock signature validation
-> install via adb or sd card the newest Firmware
-> lucky guy
I´m really depressed/sad right now and have no idea what to do next. I spoke with samsung service and they told me to send them the phone so they can repair it. I hope that this is not ne final solution...
If there is any possibility to get the phone back to factory reset or any other working system i would be soo glad.
sorry for the bad english, it´s not my mother tongue
Thanks in advance and beste regards
Sebastian
LOL, didint read all but the part where the phone freeze after few hours on MM or even on clean Nougat firmware its a big sign that the problem is with hardware, just send the phone to Samsung so they could fix it and move on

I actually did. From my perspective there was no other way so i send it in. Really unhappy with this solution but i hope that Samsung Support will repair it. Maybe i was too naive with the android phone. i thought that i where able to totally delete and reinstall the system like i do with my computer. Now i will look for a good backup solution for the future ;D
Thanks in advance
I think you messed up your phone somehow... certain steps you described do worry me what you might have done.
Did you root/unlock your phone before? If yes, Samsung will happily return your S7 without even touching it.
Kies & Smart Switch do not work on rooted phones. Exception: Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization
Did you try flashing all four files (BL, AP, CP, CSC not HOME_CSC) in Odin at once? Did you try another PC / USB port?
so yesterday i decided to restart my s8 cuz it feels like there are times the phone screen malfunction like while i was playing the control pad got stuck for 2-3 seconds (tested with 4 games also same result) and i proceed to eat my brunch while i wait for the phone to restart completely.. after that i noticed the phone is stuck to boot (Galaxy S8 powered by android) after 1-2 minutes the phone will proceed to recovery mode (no command ) then its menu and after 7seconds the phone will restart to boot again (infinite loop)..
i tried to flash it but i really dont know what build or firmware should i download..
idk if i already soft brick it but after flashing it the odin always shows a fail result.. (but it is still in boot loop and can still proceed to dwnload mode)
i saw this message in phone while in download mode
SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER)also saying device 12 binary 11 (i researched about it and found that my phone is up to date abd the firmware im trying to use to flash is old, the thing is i dont know what firmware should i download))
My question is can this be saved by flashing it with latest firmware? and if its possible can you send me a link of the phone firmware that match to my device.. i already searched in sammobile and the current firmware for my phone there was the february 2021 (02-21) firmware..
since i cant check my build number or anything (cuz of the boot loop).. ill justput here the details about my phone..
*model : galaxy s8 (SM-950FD) ,dual sim,64gb rom 4gb ram, exynos variant
- i still have the box of it.. (bought the phone december 2017)
*all i know is that my phone is up to date (last month i checked it settings and the phone says it is up to date)
*last year (June 2020) - the phone screen starts to flicker but i can still use it by turning on the AOD and set the brightness to 50% then the screen will go back to normal
*July 2020 i tried to reset my phone hoping that the screen will be fixed, it went smoothly in a week (no flickers even @low brightness) and then after that the issue goes back again so i just keep it that way and back to Turning on the AOD to fix it.
*last week of Oct 2021- so for after a year & 4mos. and already used with the flicker issue. the fingerprint sensor starts to malfunction (so sad i cant access the samsung pass anymore)
my last restart of the phone was this time.. and time to give up with that fingerprint issue
* i flash it earlier today this is the firmware i downloaded//
SM-G950FDPhilippines (Open Line)2021-02-02G950FXXSBDUA3Android Version 9
i tried that firmware cuz im living in the philippines plus it is dual sim (i presume its an openline) however odin tells that this firmware is old..
that is all i know about my phone.. let me know if you need more details about it.
device 12 binary 11 - does mean you are flashing older firmware than what is on your phone.
device 12 means your on binary/bootloader 12 and binary 11 is firmware trying to flash ie: G950FXXSBDUA3
this may be the latest version G950FXXUCDUD1
you can use this pc app to download latest firmware. See last page for download link

thanks i will try this one
You may have to install some visual c++ files if your pc doesn't have them They can be found on microsoft website.

In using Odin
Home_CSC file will keep your apps and data ie: all apps and data that you have installed.
CSC file will wipe all data and apps ie: same as factory reset.
History:
I have a samsung tab S6 lite LTE version. The tablet freezed out of nowhere when I was working and restarted but stuck in bootloader. After a while, and after removing the sd card, the tablet functioned properly. The tablet had more 80% of battery charge.
I thought the new update might fix the issue. I installed the update. it restarted and stuck in bootloader again. Power and Volume Down buttons will restart the tab, but it never went past the bootloop.
Left it for 12 hours without charging, and then the tablet went into recovery mode. I wiped the cache and when figuring out the other options in recovery it switched off and did nothing. When connected to a charger, a circle with lighting icon showed up. No combination of buttons worked.
Took it to the service center, and was told the motherboard needs to be replaced. I knew it was a software problem so I came home without replacing the motherboard.
I put the tablet on charge for a while and pressed volume up and down button and connected it to the computer. The tablet went into download mode. I immediately downloaded Odin and stock firmware and tried to flash only the BL file to the tablet. It failed few times, maybe because of faulty cable. I used another working cable and tried to flash the full firmware and the tablet disconnected again from the pc.
But now the tablet showed "an error occured while updating and use smart switch for emergency recovery". Smart switch on pc did not detect the tablet, but Odin did. The device manager detected the device as samsung mobile usb composite device. I used a new usb cable and flashed the stock firmware using Odin. The process was success but the tablet died.
It does nothing when connected to a charger or pc. No display and no buttons worked.
I opened the tablet by removing the display, and disconnected the battery physically. But nothing happened.
I tried several times to connect to pc, and for once it was detected by the pc.
This time I flashed the stock firmware using odin with nand erase and repartition. extracted the pit from csc file and added it to Odin.
The flash was a success but the tablet remains unresponsive. I checked the display to see if I had cracked or damaged it while opening, but it is good.
Now Sometimes, the tablet gets detected by pc as samsung mobile usb composite device and I could even flash the firmware with success. But the tablet displays nothing and is unresponsive.
Can Anybody advice What I can do now?
PS. I used the correct firmware meant for s6 lite LTE version every time I flashed.
Disconnect devices from PC USB port & uninstall official Samsung USB drivers. Reboot & re-install drivers. Connect to another USB port preferably at the rear PC.
Flashed latest Android 10 instead of the latest Android 11 stock firmware (AP *super.img.tar file ONLY) using Odin (I used official Odin3_v3.14.4) with Auto-Reboot, Nand Erase and Re-Partition. Input *.pit file. Flashing process might take 'years' but be patient until it ended & auto boot up successfully. Try another USB port if it failed. Therafter, flash the rest of stock WITHOUT Nand Erase & ONLY Re-Partition, Auto Reboot & F. Reset Time.
Once it successfully got flashed & auto reboot, wait patiently as it might also take a longer time than normal to boot up. Charge the device to optimal. Done!
Optional (Remove Knox Guard)
Connect to the internet. Login to your Google & Samsung account to update everything & reboot upon further updates. Thereafter, boot to Download Mode & flashed AP (Magisk Patched *boot.img, blank *vbmeta.img & patched *vbmeta_samsung.img) + BL (Blank *vbmeta.img) WITHOUT Nand Erase & Re-Partition. After successful boot up, reboot back to Download Mode & ensure there's no 'KG State' on the list before deleting('root delete' not ADB) Knox Guard or app named Payment Service as in Android 10.
Thanks. I will try.

By chance is it going to work for KG:Locked status device? I'm on F62, i bought this (second hand) few days ago from another city. Tapping on build number doesn't give any response, When i try to flash any firmware I'm getting response "All binaries are not allowed to be flashed" I'm pretty much confused what's happening here
