[NOOB] Organizing OTA channels list within "Live Channels" App - Android TV General

Hello everyone !
( if this is not the right place to ask, let me know ! )
I want to descramble and organize in increasing order the channels in "Live Channels" App.
With an android TV Box, I have no clue to address a simple issue:
Organizing "terrestrial Herzian network" in a classified TV channels list within "Live Channels" App.
I have a Usb tuner stick (august DVB-T202) and the Backend App "FTA Tuner Loader" finds easily all the Channels.
I can enjoy the channels thanks to the FrontEnd App "Live Channels".
But :
- The list is scrambled.
- There is no way to organize the TV channels List. ( afaIk )
___
1) My first wish would have been to use this simpliest tool "Live Channels" with an organised list!
1-a) Is there any .m3u config file from "FTA Tuner Loader" or "Live Channels" ?
1-b) Can I re-organise this .m3u file in order that "Live Channels" will show the orderly Channels?
1-c) How ? ( termux ? sort of rooted stuff ? )
___
2) Can another App ( sort of plex or st. ) handle the results of "FTA Tuner Loader" ?
___
Thanks!

HOW to Flash ROM (must be on ICS Unlocked Bootloader) like "ICS Unlocked Bootloader 0.03.14-MUL"
1. Boot into Newest version of TWRP Recovery (DON'T use other Recoveries)... "TWRP Recovery v2.4.4.0" <- New Recovery Version
2. Make "Backup" of current ROM.
3. Wipe 3x: Cache - Dalvik Cache - Factory Reset - System - { Internal Storage (Optional) - Format Data (Optional) }
*** For Stable ROM with No problems : {WIPE ALL ON #3 = All Internal Data, NOT Ext SDCard) }
4. Flash ROM.
5. Enjoy.
*** TIP: In TWRP Recovery's "BACKUP", you can see what Internal Files are there at anytime. (to see if WIPE worked)
Important : After Reboot, Start "SuperSU" App. It will get New binaries.
IMPORTANT : If you find ANYTHING NOT Working or ANY FC...Then WIPE ALL ON #3, Re-Flash ROM, Re-Test Problem before Posting!

Is it possible to swap internal memory 16Gb by SD Card 32Gb? Can you give me a script?
If u can do it on a STOCK Acer ROM, then it SHOULD be possible... u need to Google Search that MOD... My ROM is STOCK based with OC Kernel.
EDIT: for post below...I made that "Optional Download : ! Removed Files" to manually add back 1 or a few files.
If I added all removed files back, what would be the point of making this SLIM ROM, it would be all STOCK.
Instructions on POST #2
Please make flashable zip from this - Optional Download: ! Removed Files!
Thank you!!!
Does this Rom have the Acer ring?
Sent from my A500 using xda app-developers app
Doesn't have Acer Ring. STOCK Acer A500 never came with Acer Ring....
Acer Ring <- Notice it says "Acer Ring update for Acer Iconia A20x/A21x/A51x/A70x series tablet." NOT A50x (not A500, A501)
Good. I never liked that ring. Will give this ROM a try thank you.
Sent from my A500 using xda app-developers app
When you say Everything Works, does that include the dock accessory?
It is STOCK slim.. Meaning Lots of bloatware removed +.
Some things you'll want to add from market like File Manager, Music Player, Video Player...I give recommended files.
I have used this ROM for over 1 yr. I updated many .apk's since the start.
Check bottom of Post #1 to see all removed files. More info on Post #2
Dock Accessory...Don't see files that I removed, affecting it.
I have "! Removed Files" in post #1 (Instructions Post #2), If you want to manually add back anything!
Edit : for post below... There is a LINK on post #1 of the OC Kernel.
I believe it should be fine (HDMI mirroring, Netflix, OC to 1.5 Ghz, and All Apps, I've tested so far are great)
The dock requires support in the kernel, so I'm just looking to check that the custom kernel you're using hasn't removed support for it?
Hdmi working ?
Sent from my A500 using xda app-developers app
HDMI Mirroring works EXCELLENT! (no problems)
Yes works great... I Use it all the time with Netflix on HDMI port 50" TV (great picture, no dragging, slowing, NO PROBLEMS)...thru WiFi signal
- I get 3-4 90 minute movies on same battery (not plugged in).
- I believe the screen stays on whole time. (if you try to turn screen off on tablet, to save battery, you'll loose picture ?)
This is great! Great job on the rom!

You might want to try this out - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nkahoang.screenstandby - gets great results for me.
Is there a mirror of your ROM anywhere? I've been periodically trying to download for the last few days and each time androidfilehost.com has been down.
Thank you!
*EDIT* -- finally managed to get the server while its up. Downloading now!
*2nd Edit* -- Fantastic ROM! Love it! Thanks for putting this together
Problem with twrp 2.3.3.0
Hi, I would like to try this ROM on my a500, but have an issue with the twrp that I could use some help with. I came from Thor 1.7.3 touch recovery and changed per the op instructions to twrp. When I do a backup, it seems to run ok but when it is done it says it failed and gives this error:
E: unable to mount '/data'
I went to the Mount tab and it won't let me check the Mount Data box.
It does show a backup file in the backup folder but not sure if it is any good so I don't want to proceed with flashing ROM until I resolve this issue. Please help.
Just to let everyone know, I reinstalled my old recovery, thor 1.7.3, then installed this rom without any issues. It is running ok so far.:thumbup:
Solution to see if Recovery WIpes All (like it is suppost to)
Edit : read POST above... (cool, I left text here...rather then type "Removed") my response took long I guess..LOL
I've had that problem before, I've tested so much on this Tablet, Samsung Galaxy S3 Cell, and (HTC EVO 4G of past)...
Possibly problems ? (just guessing)...
can't remember exactly problem..(had it about 4-5 times lifetime)... guessing the Micro SDCard is too large (for recovery)
-example if you tried 8GB or 16GB might work...32GB wouldn't work for me on some Devices (sometimes on some recoveries)
-if I had another SDcard, that fixed it for recovering...
you can use any recovery, that you want to use, HOWEVER, I noticed, they don't ALL WIPE the best..
-I've seen on more than 2 other recoveries ..files left behind after 3x wiping. so right away I only use TWRP...
I suggest, you try the recovery you feel comfortable with (but try to verify that all files get Removed...if you are able to check)
-what I always do with other recoveries..is wipe EVERY SINGLE thing (except Ext. SDCARD) and then Make Nandroid backup
-then later when you boot up and are on OS, check the Backup file and see if it is EMPTY
-after doing this many times, I can tell, what recoveries are good and not... Been so long (since other recoveries) my memory is not sharp... BUT I KNOW I'm correct in info given.
*** You can also NOT wipe Internal (data\media) like Internal SDCARD.
- I have noticed on ONLY 3-4 occasions lifetime, where I had to wipe Internal everything. So maybe test without WIPE'ing all 1st.
- If problem, then complete Wipe, re test, then post PROBLEM.

[Wifi fix]android 4.2.2 stock

Hi guy,
In first, my english is not so good. Sorry but don't hesite to send question.
Like so many people, I had problem with my wifi
Very very slow, its was crazy to download files and use youtube
Yesterday I setup android 4.3 factory but nothing. Don't fix this problem
To day I come back on 4.2.2, I root my phone and unlock.
No special rom or Kernel
In this file : etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
I change this lines with Es explorateur :
# Flags to filter Mcast and Bcast RX packets.
# Value 0: No filtering, 1: Filter all Multicast.
# 2: Filter all Broadcast. 3: Filter all Mcast and Bcast
McastBcastFilter=0
#
gEnableBmps=0
and I add this line :
gDataInactivityTimeout=100
Now, I can download soft and file, watch HD movie on youtube etc.
See you

How to mount SMB share to Sony Android TV file system?

I did not find a category for Android TVs so i created a post here.
I want to mount my network share into the android file system. The background is, that the internal player can not access to the SMB files, only USB and DLNA. I want to use Kodi for file browsing and via external player to open the files in the internal player.
I hope there is a way without rooting my TV. It would be OK to start a script or app after every shutdown.
Yes, should be possible with a playercorefactoy.xml within Kodi or SPMC userdata folder.
You can also access your SMB shares from Kodi (no mounting though) and with playercorefactory.xml setup correctly it will prompt you which third party player to use to play the media file.
Does your Sony Android TV has Android Nougat or older? i ask because for example on Shield TV only since Nougat there is a feature developed by Nvidia to Mount network storage, otherwise an app like Mount Manager v1.0.41 by Ryan Conrad (no longer available in Play Store) still works but:
♦♦ REQUIRES ROOT ♦♦♦♦ YOU MUST HAVE EITHER A KERNEL THAT SUPPORTS CIFS OR THE MODULES TO LOAD TO ADD SUPPORT ♦♦♦♦ BUSYBOX RECOMMENDED ♦♦

I have configured the playercorefactoy.xml and my network drive inside kodi, but the files from network can not be openend by the internal player.
I also tested with files from USB, then the files can be opened by the internal player. I think the issue is, that Kodi passes the location of the file to the internal player. But for my case kodi should pass the file, maybe as temporary cached file. In same way as ExFileExplorer do.
My TV runs with Marshmallow 6.0.1.
Did you also include the rules inside the .xml file?
e.g:
<rules action="prepend">
<rule protocols="smb" player="LocalCast" />
<rule dvdimage="true" player="LocalCast" />
<rule protocols="rtmp" player="LocalCast" />
<rule protocols="rtsp" player="LocalCast" />
<rule protocols="sop" player="LocalCast" />
<rule internetstream="true" player="LocalCast" />
<rule video="true" player="LocalCast" />
</rules>
what are you using latest kodi krypton 17.1 or SPMC?

Yes i did include some additional rules. I am using Kodi v16.1 and SPMC 16.6.0.
When i configure DLNA in my network, the movies can be started by Kodi and passed to the internal player. But i dont like this way because it takes 5-10 seconds till a movie starts and Kodi can not associate the movies with the movie data base. So i only see the file names. Transcoding is deactivated on DLNA server.
