onn tablets pairing problem - Walmart Onn Tablets General

My two new onn tablets don't pair with my Bluetooth mouse, yet they pair OK with my BT keyboard. The mouse pairs OK with my iPad. Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with my two onn tablets. Any ideas why I can't pair my mouse? Thanks, Mr Ed

List of USB Devices that work.

I think it would be great if we made a list of USB keyboards/mice that work or don't work.
This way if someone is on the lookout for a keyboard/mouse at the moment while we get our 3.1 update, they can look at this list.
Also I don't know if this should be here or accesories..
Keyboard:
Work
Wired 79-Key Compact Slim USB Keyboard - White + Silver from Deal Extreme
Don't Work
Wired Apple iMac Keyboard
10" Case from ebay
Wired Dell SK-8115
Mouse: (Only after installing netham's USBMouse.apk)
Work
Wireless Logitech M215
Wired Dell M-UVDEL1

Logitech Keyboard - unifier

Stumbled on a post about how folks are loving Logitech keyboards and how simple it was to hook up and use. OF COURSE I had to take the hard route and try to use a keyboard that I had not used in a while that was not synced / paired to the unifier. When plugged in the unifier is recognized by my A500 but it just did not dawn on me that my keyboard was not paired with the unifier.
Unifier usb - it stores which devices are paired and (at least for me) pairing is done with the computer. Plug in the unifier to a computer and pair using the unifying software that comes with the keyboard and mouse. I can't recall if out of the box unifier and keyboard/mouse are paired. When I changed keyboards, I retained the previous unifier and stored the new with the old keyboard.
Unplug the unifier from the computer and plug into your Acer. It is recognized as a physical keyboard and you are off and typing, mousing, etc.
Just sharing for those who may have struggled like me I am using the K400 but also tested with a K330.To my knowledge and reading other forums many LT keyboards and mice should work.

Tablet doesn't want to connect to bluetooth mouse

I bought a bluetooth mouse HP X4000b two days ago, and successfully paired it with my nexus 7 to see if it works with it. It worked. Afterwards I used it with my PC. Today, I made a nandroid restore, and tried to connect the mouse again. It didn't work. I removed it from paired devices and tried to pair it again. It does find the mouse as a bluetooth mouse, but when i click on it to pair it, nothing happens. I am 100km from my computer now, so I don't think they see each other
Please help, I would really need the mouse to work in the next few days.
If you could get your hands on an OTG-usb adapter cable you could attach a wired usb mouse or use a wireless mouse with a nano usb receiver. I know that doesn't fix your bt mouse, but it could be a workable alternative.

Pairing logitech mouse/keyboards w/ Unifying receiver on Ouya

If you have a logitech wireless keyboard or mouse, it's pretty easy to get it paired with the Ouya. There's no interface on the Ouya for it. You have to use a Windows machine and use the logitech software to pair the devices to a specific unifying receiver. Once it's paired on the windows machine, shutdown the computer. Remove the receiver, and stick it on the Ouya. Voila!
It appears that Logitech saves some configuration data on the tiny receivers, so that's how it works. I have a Logitech Mouse and keyboard on one receiver. Works great.

I don't think you have to install it on a PC first. The Mouse and Keyboard drivers are universal HUD drivers. Android (OUYA) comes preinstalled and fully configured to plug and play [ANY] mice and keyboard.
Here is what I use:
Measy Air-Mouse/Keyboard RC11
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCE11wFbkqk
Still good information to know that the OUYA hasn't EXCLUDED any official Android supported devices.

Well, if the receiver is already paired with a device, yes you don't need to do anything special, just plug it in. BUT, if you need to pair a new Logitech keyboard with a Logitech receiver that's paired with an existing mouse, you need to use the logitech software to interface with the receiver to tell it to pair a new device. What I didn't know is that this pairing configuration is stored on the USB receiver, not as a computer setting. That's the handy part.
I have the receiver on a power USB 2.0 hub connected to the Ouya. The Ouya can be turned on using the mouse or keyboard.
Yea. I've found that most Keyboard/Mice are specifically paired with the receiver they ship with. I haven't had any luck repairing a device with a new receiver.

the OP is talking specifically about Logitech keyboards and mice (that just sounds weird) that are compatible with the Unifying program. I have one of their top end mouse and a good KB paired and I switch them around from my desktop to laptop and knew it was stored on the device or USB (or both, maybe), so I figured it would work but didn't know for sure so thanks for posting this!
Logitech Unified Device Pairings with KitKat v. Lollipop
It appears that Logitech Unified devices work with every KitKat or Lollipop (5.0) device I can connect them to, but not at all with any 5.1 devices. Suggestions sought .....

If I understand you correctly, make sure the BT dongle included with the mojo is on the USB3 (blue) port.
Try turning BT on in android setup.. not sure why that would help, but just in case there's been an update..

If that didn't work, raise a support request with madcatz, probably a busted USB Dongle, (it should work fine on PC/android/ect, MAC i think might need drivers)
You can pair the mojo CTRLR to your galaxy without the dongle?? wow!
Man, I'm hoping it's a firmware fix coming
Also: There are any bt dongle compatible with mojo and ctrlr?
TMK, The dongle isn't actually BT, so I doubt there would be an alternative out there.

Yes, i plug the dongle on the USB3 of the mojo, but the controller doesn't pair.
Turning on the Bluetooth of the mojo doesn't detect the controller
in galaxy s4 with stock kitkat and without dongle the controller pair and works fine.
If i power off the bt on sgs4 and connect the dongle with otg USB phone detect new keyboard connected but controller doesn't pair.
Only pair without dongle and with bt 4.0 devices....... I'm confused.
Thanks for you answer man!

What model# is it?
My MOJO CTRLR is 32263 and my the retail CTRLR : 32266.
Maybe different firmware, I would raise a ticket with Madcatz, with a link to this thread.
"If i power off the bt on sgs4 and connect the dongle with otg USB phone detect new keyboard connected but controller doesn't pair."
Is that with the MOJO dongle, it works with a BT4 keyboard?
I hope it's a new firmware release for both CTRLR and MOJO :fingers-crossed:
Does the blue light come on the CTRLR?
Try holding down the start button for a few seconds, the light should go red'ish then try to repair.
That's very strange, did you check that both USB ports on the MOJO work?
I'm guessing it's a firmware issue or a dongle issue.

My dongle model is the same.. strange that it still works on PC/Mac (loading drivers) :/ dont know sorry...
Even with a BT4 USB adaptor, I doubt it would work on the MOJO because android 4.3 doesn't support BT4.
Raise a support ticket on the madcatz site.
that's a bummer, hope you get it fixed soo.
Same Problem here, Mojo paired with my phone but not with the controller. But the Controller works fine with my Nexus 5.
Same problem here. MOJO support doesn't seem to be much help other than disconnect it and reconnect but I can't even get it to pair. Anyone found resolution for this?
I also have the same problem, would installing a lower firmware help?, mine came with the 4k res and ouya update out of box, if I install lower firmware would that solve my dongle problem?
Thanks

No, don't bother.
FYI: @Coolin82 @rmraiden
TMK, the only thing you can do is install the lollypop custom rom, it doesn't need the dongle and pairs fine without it.
See the development forum.
Wow! That's really strange, I use the dongle on my PC(linux/XP) and mojo.. never had issues it, it just works.
Mine is now working. Mad Catz RMA'd my controller and sent me the new CTRL that doesn't require a dongle. Gaming is so much better now!!
Oh nice, you got a retail version.. it has BT2 and BT4 that's why you don't need the dongle.
any solution ?
