Help needed updating - Android Head-Units

Hi.
I bought an android Head unit but don't know where to start when looking for updates for it.
I have attached the specs as shown in Aida64

Hi, try find your firmware here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/alidesheng-head-unit-mediatek-mt6580m.4033175/
or search the internet by : AIDA64 mt6580 firmware - you will find it for sure.

Can't find anything.

Try this one: http://bottlestonightapp.com/content-firmware/mt6580-firmware-universal
Choose desired Android version first and download

Thanks, but do I download the Android version I already have or can I choose a higher version?

By the way, that link is just adverts. When you click on download, it comes up with loads of crap and the file can't be downloaded.

Then it's links are broken & hacked, find anything on net or youtube (link would be in comment area)

I really need some help.
flash a generic official rom, or a custom rom. That should fix your problem.
i am really new to this, any tips if possible?
I am unsure where to start.
Search for market enabler or flash a custom rom.

Try reading this thread and the others linked from it
if you don't have the market application in you mobile, you can search the andoid market apk files on your web browser, then download and install it. current version should be 2.3.6
remember go to settings->applications, then check "unknown applications"
if you have the market application but can't find some apps (e.g. paid apps), you should install an app called "MarketEnabler".

wiki pages are more editable but i think android sticks need a little bit of detailed info not just for example: "stick name:abc and firmware: android". thats why i have made this google document with the form in the end. the form is what user want to add, while the list is a detailed and filtered (i want to make it so) table of the andoid tv sticks, for example: name:MK808B cpu:rk3066 wifi & bt chip: rk903 firmware: MK808-B (original) JB 4.2.2 Official - Finless ROM 2.1 (link: freaktab.com/showthread.php?4966-NEW-MK808-B-%28original%29-JB-4-2-2-Official-Finless-ROM-2-1) and after that which hardware is compatible with this stick. like the cameras or other hardwares.

DZ09 / GV08 / ALUS compatible .VXP apps, rom tools, Mediatek MRE SDK, etc.

Found some stuff for developing/modifying Nucleus OS based mt6260 / mt6260a Smartwatches and thought I should share them with u guyz...
Links:
1. Mediatek MRE SDK (found it on a russian website )

2.ADS 1.2 (found it on a chinese website )

Ok, so I've googled a lot, and I DID find some Info about these smartwatches...
They all have the same processor, the mt6260, and they are running Nucleus OS...
(SDK not free :crying You can install apps in mre's .vxp format but even though there are tons of .vxp apps, most of them are incompatible because of the resolution... (most of them are in 240x320 res or higher, and our smartwatches use 240x240)
Because of the small number of compatible apps, (curently only Facebook, Pdf reader, word reader, and power point reader work for me...) I decided to make my own apps... (will make)
You can create your own .vxp apps with the tools I gave you... U will need MRE SDK, ADS 1.2, and Microsoft Visual 2008... Good luck!
Anyway, sorry for the long post, and enjoy the content..:good:
Sorry, I can't add links on xda, so please copy the text and paste in url bar...

Hi eliseizla,
I cannot install any .vxp apps in your shared folder in my DZ09 watch What's wrong with my DZ09 ?
It could be many reasons... Mostly it could be your firmware version... try flashing the firmware i've uploaded... It's the best stable firmware, which doesn't have camera error, and works with the apps I've posted... If this doesn't work, then probably your smartwatch is fake... That's my opinion... I have the same firmware, the one that I've uploaded... It also has modified watchfaces, (black watchfaces, not blue or grey...). But anyway... what's the error that doesn't let you install? Is it simply not recognizing the file? or is it displaying ,,Application failed to start" message?

Yeah, I thought so... mine didn't work either... there seems to be something wrong with the mre version of the watch, I think... or probably the nonstandard resolution, maybe? Probably not, since it runs most of 176x210 apps (or smthg like that)... I've googled every bit of it, and yandexed it, and baidu'd it, still couldn't find anything about mre 3.1 version... Anyway, keep up the good work... you might figure out someday, who knows? I mean, I've tried, I am no programmer (yet), but I'm not giving up yet... right now, I am testing a lot of apps from wapka.mobi, to see wich ones work, and wich ones don't... I'll keep u posted with apps and info... Have a nice day!

UI apps FF-5000 8227L firmware

Hello. I come from this thread:
Alps FF5000 and other AC8227L chipset head units - updates and solutions
Hello ! I have trouble with bought alps device car head unit FF5000 (model 8227L). System freezes, process com.ts.mainUI8 hanging not allowing to enter and listen any kind of music, dsp worked now just blinks and does nothing, buttons dont work...
forum.xda-developers.com
MCU:TS907.190518(H)
Which helped me a lot. Since I bought a radio on aliexpress ALPS FF-5000 1gbram (real)/16gbrom. That I arrive with a very current firmware and makes the radio work quite slow. After trying various firmware. I can see that the best of all of that thread and the smoothest it works is:
8227L_CHS_UI04-国外10_v3_20191207.rar
I already bought more radios like these from the seller before and they had a different UI than now and they worked frankly well... more fluid. Could someone tell me where to get this UI:
Thank you and continue advancing in this great forum.

Hi try with this software from JUNSUN it helped my device, we have simialr ones.
Download firmware from comment area in video and update device.
Then , when updated , go to factory menu with pin code 8888 and adjust settings for device (RADIO MENU , OTHER, DISPLAY and TOUCH STUDY/CANBUS - these two menus - if you must make steering wheel command s to work.).
FOR RADIO MENU :
- if radio.app is stalling or freezes - set OSCILACION to 9,20, FM and AM sense to 21-27, RDS ON, IC TYPE is your chip of radio (do not change that as these if wrong will freeze radio and commands), SORT is RADIO FREQ
- if radio freezes after bootup and wont response at all - try this app :
(just download file and transfer to device, then get in APK installer and install radio from this apk file)

I have this version: 8227L_8鑫瑞畅UI01-国外11_v4_20210705 with that UI that I say I want. But that version of soft on my radio model is very, very slow. it works much better with this one: 8227L_CHS_UI04-10_v3_20191207 . Do you know of a way to extract the UI from the first one and add it to another?

There is no need to extract anything, firmware is somewhere on this forum or somewhere on clouds services , we just have to find it on net.
Look there for upgrades : https://disk.yandex.ru/d/umCvHqCDzHccr/RockChip PX5 Android 8.0/XRC
From and by this pic inaside this folder your device has maybe XRC not CHS type of firmware, now just we can try to find software that matches UI4 dated year 2019 or early 2020 on the net.
But... I'm not sure wheter your device is PX5 chipset and what android version it has... (according to this picture inside - nb. 1 - UI is similar or that one that you pasted here)

friend, this is the version that I would need. I have it on another older screen and it works perfectly with the UI that I mentioned. can I somehow extract it from this other screen?

How can I see if it is fake android 10? In device information it appears as android 10.

What are some useful APK files you can get for your android head unit?

If anyone has any useful or cool apps they wanna share that has improved their unit or made it look better I would like if you can share it. I haven’t downloaded any apk files but I guess u just download it from a website and uploaded it to your usb and downloaded it from your head unit. Is there any specific sites that you can find all kinds of apk files that can be used on an android head unit?
