The OPPO Find X5 Pro is a phone that is packed with photography features. The camera app gives you access to many different photo modes, so you can have a solution for any environment. Professionals who use software to edit their photos tend to shoot with the PRO mode. This mode gives you manual control over all of your camera settings but also has two features called RAW and RAW PLUS. Here's the difference-

RAWRAW files are uncompressed image files with greater amounts of data in comparison to JPEG files. A RAW file is saved on your phone as a .dng file. These files can be edited with professional photo editing software, but you can also edit them in the ColorOS Photos app.
To shoot photos in RAW go to Camera > PRO mode > settings [three dots in the top right] > RAW
RAW PLUSRAW PLUS offers a .dng file that is exactly the same as what you'd get with RAW. The only difference is RAW PLUS will save two files for every picture you take. One file is a .dng and the other is a .jpg. The .jpg is a standard compressed photo that you'd get with the normal PHOTO mode. So what is the point in having both files? The .jpg is much smaller in size and can be shared or previewed easily.
If you're transferring photos to a PC to edit them, you'll find that RAW files do not generate thumbnail previews as .jpg files do. So if you're taking a large number of photos and transferring them to your PC for editing, the .jpg file can act as a preview so you know which photos are which, without having to open them in your editing software.
To shoot photos in RAW go to Camera > PRO mode > settings [three dots in the top right] > RAW PLUS
Since my OPPO Find X5 Pro has a 512GB storage capacity, I don't stress about how much space my photos will take up, and shoot everything in RAW PLUS. Editing these files in the default Photos app is a great experience, with lots of amazing tools to take advantage of.

Sorry, but I have no idea where you got this information. The difference between RAW and RAW+ on the OPPO Find X5 Pro is the following:
RAW-Mode: creates a dng and a jpg/heic.
RAW+: only creates a dng.
RAW+ works in a similar way as multi-frame raw. As Oppo themselves explains: RAW+ captures more details and a wider dynamic range.
There might be some confusion with the designation "RAW+". With DSLR´s, RAW+ often refers to the option to save both a dng and a jpg, while RAW only saves a dng.
Absolutely right. I have to do some comparison between the generated RAW and RAW+ with my Find X6 Pro.

If you shoot a good photo in a special moment, there is maybe a very small part on top of the picture which you would like to crop out, to make the photo perfect! But: If you do that, you will have the following issues:
It reduces the size of your photo - means you loose quality
It will remove the location from your photo - you can't remember where the exact point of shooting was
the photo will not stay in the right sequence in your gallery
maybe you loose exif information
I tried to edit my photos with:

Snapseed is my favorite by far of the bunch. Very easy to work with with its swiping setup. The photos will be placed in the correct order you only have to move them to the original camera directory with a file explorer after editing them.

Shooting Raw on the Honor 8
To shoot photos in RAW format, open your camera app in pro photo mode. Swipe to the settings from the right side of your screen and toggle RAW format.
When you shoot in regular mode on the Honor 8, your photos are compressed and exported to a JPEG format. When RAW is toggled, an uncompressed RAW image will be saved along with a standard JPEG formatted copy.
RAW image data
Shooting RAW photos will produce a file around 20MBs-30MBs on average. When you transfer these files to your computer to edit in photoshop, you'll notice that there is a lot more detail when adjusting color and contrast.

Shoot in MOVIE ModeWhen searching through the different camera modes, you might come across MOVIE. This mode offers much more than just a different aspect ratio. This mode is designed with professional filming tools and camera controls. If you intend on editing your footage before posting it, this is a great camera mode for you.
On the right side of the preview window, you'll see the manual controls for iso, f-stop, zoom, focus, and white balance. These controls are super easy to navigate and do not interfere with getting your shot.
The left side has important features that will come into play in your post editing session. LOG will give your footage greater dynamic range, for better color grading in post. HDR gives your footage better contrast and enhanced colors. Try shooting with these toggled on so you can have more freedom in your editing environment.
Change Lenses in PRO ModeWith many phones, the PRO mode is limited to one lens, and at first glance you might think that this is also the case on the OPPO Find X5 Pro. However, you can toggle through all three of the rear camera lenses in PRO mode by selecting the tree icon in the top menu.
Choose between wide-angle/macro, standard, and telephoto. With each lens, you still retain the full set of pro controls, so you can get your shot looking exactly how you want it to. It's also worth noting that all of these lenses are compatible with RAW and RAW PLUS photography.
Enable 10-bit color Mode10-bit photos can be captured in both PHOTO and NIGHT mode. You can enable this feature in the settings menu. Your 10-bit photos will retain more color data that can be viewed on compatible devices and apps that support it. These image files are saved in the .HEIF format, which is compatible with the default ColorOS photo editor. So if you are mostly editing and viewing your photos on your OPPO Find X5 Pro, then I highly recommend turning this feature on.
If you want to share your .HEIF photo in an app that is not supported (like Discord, Snapshot, Twitter etc.) Then you can easily convert the file in the photos app. Go to Photos > settings, then enable "Convert HEIF photos for sharing".
Manually Adjust f-stop in VIDEO ModeDo you want to create that shallow depth of field look from big DSLR cameras? You can adjust the f-stop in VIDEO mode using the shutter icon. This will create dramatic looking videos with blurred backgrounds, similar to how portrait mode looks with photos. Just keep in mind that this limits your video resolution to 1080, disabling 4k shooting.

Pro Mode can manually adjust settings such as ISO, shutter speed, exposure compensation, auto/manual focus and white balance to achieve the quality and depth.
OPPO Find X5 Pro added two useful functions in Pro Mode which are Histogram and Focus peaking functions, I frequently use these two functions during some situations.

Focus PeakingThe image format has JPG, RAW & RAW PLUS, the raw & raw plus file can record more details, which enable to do post-processing through photo editing apps like photoshop easily, but the file size of raw & raw plus is much bigger than jpg, compare with 3MB .jpg, it saves as in .dng and costs more than 25MB per image.

Hasselblad Xpan Mode allows you to capture cinematic panoramas photos in either retro color or black & white.

Long Exposure Mode
Use Long Exposure Mode can capture moving vehicles, water&clouds and light painting. For example, I took this photo in Merlion Park, Singapore, it was a sunny day, if you use a DSLR camera without any ND filter it is difficult to have a long exposure photo, but this Long Exposure Mode in the phone can solve this issue, with 4 second shutter speed will smooth the water and gives it a silky and soft look.
