hi there,
when i buy one of those phones, is it possible to dump the rom for a second one? or is it possible they protected it by a modified bootloader or something?
they also offer to download the sourcecode of the soft on this phone on there webpage. http://www.cryptophone.de > is it possible to compile to a installer?
When you do get one I would be interested to know if it can be dumped and used on a standard xda, now that would really be something. Maybe they use also some hardware modification?
for shure software only. but spezial cut windows version. possible or not? when the most here say yes and they help me with instructions i will buy one and share the dump!
As title, I am trying to find an expert on android, basically I have android 1.0 from a package released a while ago in the athena forums, I also have a config file that I believe adds touchscreen drivers etc and there is also a kernel patch.
If I am correct these need to be applied in a linux enviroment, something I dont have or know much about, so I am asking for a bit of help.
Is it possible to:
a)Apply the patch file to a newer build 1.6 or 2.0 and see if it works?
b)Apply the config to the 1.0 kernel I have downloaded to try it
Ideally if possible I would love to have option a.
Could someone let me know if any of this is possible and if someone out there is able to do it for me.
Thanks

Nahim2k7-update
Hello,
I am working on a custom app for the motoactv platform and I would love to connect to someone who can customize a ROM (like ClearDroid) for my purposes. I basically need a stripped down version of CD that can host my app, connect to wifi (and provide all the hardware services that are on the device already) and basically nothing else. Ideally I would be able to launch right into my app from booting (this might imply a custom launcher as well).
Ideally this person would help me set up this bare ROM, add my app to it and maybe show me around the customization a little. Know anyone? There would probably be some money in it for someone who could competently help me out.
Thanks,
Judd
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum.

Ok. I have a question about building my own ROM from source, and wonder if I am in the right forum. On one hand, this is somewhat of a development question, and on the other hand it is too basic to go to the developer forums. So what should I do? And please do not ask why I am doing this. I already know there are ready made ROMs with every feature functionality my heart desires. I have a specific goal, and appreciate any help you can give me.
So my question is I am able to flash my phone with with the image I built, and hear the sound associated with Sprint products. I do not see anything on the screen. I think this has to do with a module missing. I have been able to only build one module, and that is the scsi. Does anyone know how I can build the rest of the modules I need? And once I built them which folder within the ramdisk I should place the modules. One of the procedures I read instructed to put the files in ramdisk/lib/modules. But my ramdisk does not have this directory. Is it ok to just create the directory? I ask since this may be platform dependent? I am not sure.
