TWRP backups available for download?

Hi there,
my 802 is running on TWRP after I updated to the latest stock ROM (30D Europe Open). Unfortunately due to problems mentioned in another thread I cannot install a custom ROM currently. Does anyone here have a mirror for me where I can download a TWRP backup of the stock ROM?

If you can't install a custom rom, what makes you think you can install a stock? It's pretty easy.

Very helpful... I flashed the latest KDZ on the G2, rooted it and installed TWRP 3.0.2.0, so far so good (believe it or not I flashed a dozen other android devices before). However when I try to install a Marshmallow ROM it gives me Error 7, so that means that getprop.device or so doesnt bring the correct value up. Now when I tried to switch to an older TWRP which is supposed to not have that Error 7 issue (2.7.0.0) I get an error saying I am missing the Loki files in the tmp folder. Now I do not know how to get around the Error 7 (the fix that is mentioned on here didnt work for me, brings up Error 6 instead) I would like to return to a stock backup.
How about giving me actual advice or leaving and letting other people help?
Edit: Booted in Download Mode and flashed v30D KDZ with the 2014 LG Flashtool. Works with Stock ROM for now

TWRP can just flash unofficial rom
not official rom
if you want official rom
you have to use oem recovery...not twrp

TWRP can install both Stock Or Custom Roms...it is based upon the update-script...

I had an issue where I could install any of the cyanogenmod 13 nightly updates past June 14th on my phone, a ze551kl. I resolved the issue by updating to the OEM ROM 21.40 from the Asus website. Hopefully this is helpful.
I downloaded the following files from the?*Asus website and copied them into the?*SD Card?*of my phone:
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.16.40.763-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.17.40.1234-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1615-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1794-user.zip
I then used fastboot to install the stock recovery image. After installing the stock recovery, I rebooted into recovery mode and installed 1.16 and restarted the phone. After the phone booted into 1.16, I rebooted into recovery and installed 1.17, etc . . . until I updated to 21.40.1220-1794.
After the last update, I replaced the stock recovery with TWRP and l was able to install the latest nightlies. It seems like installing 21.40 was the key to fixing this issue.
An important side note : I downloaded the WW ROMs because my phone is a WW region. If your phone is from a different region, you will need to download the appropriate ROMs.

[VK810] InvisibleK's Lineage 14.1 ROM for the VK810 Verizon GPad 8.3

Hello all, I have recently run across InvisibleK's ROM for the VK810, with LineageOS 14.1! This is my first post after years of lurking XDA, and thought to make a thread here since this is not mentioned anywhere. It appears to function normally on my VK810, but took a bit of finagling to get it to install correctly. For the most part, this ROM is pretty buttery smooth for being on such an old tablet, and it breathed new life into my old G Pad 8.3.
My steps to installing:
0. Get on 11A/Android 4.2.2 using a KDZ, or, if you are already, just go to step 1.
1. FROM 11A/Android 4.2.2, Root and install TWRP 2.8.7.0, following the guide in the forum
2. Wipe everything except internal storage/SD Card
3. Install the ROM
4. Install GAPPS
5. Reinstall recovery (TWRP 2.8.7.0)
While installing, the ROM's ZIP threw a few errors but it was still successful. The only things that seem to not work is cellular -- the cameras work, however, I have not tested Bluetooth.

EDIT: I got it to install, but a heads up this kills the accelerometer.

Hello Invisiblek. I have a Vk810 that I have flashed to your Android 9 lineage_vk810-userdebug 9 PQ3A.190705.003 1388 dev-keys. Ver. 16.0-20190726-UNOFFICIAL-vk810.
But here I am stuck. If I try and flash any newer roms, my tablet freezes during boot not getting past the Vz preload screen. If I try and flash the twrp in your repository for flasing these roms, I get the Security check error and cannot boot recovery or rom. I was able to use twrp 3.3.0 to get this far.
Got any tips to get me past this point?
(I started by doing a fresh .tot flash of 4.2.2. Then used Stump root to root. DD'd twrp 2.8.7 to recovery.
Started in 2.8.7. Updated twrp to 3.3.0. Restarted into twrp. Wiped everything but Internal Strg/Sdcard.
Flashed Rom (current), reflahed twrp 3.3.0 just in case then restarted.
Trying to flash any Romz newer then this results in only being able to boot to twrp. Flashing vk810-recovery-eng_bumped.img results in Secure boot error for twrp and ROM.
Am I running into any 64/32 bit problems? I hate being stuck on a 32 bit rom

Error E3004 when trying to install any ROM on Samsung J5 (2015) SM-500FN

What I have:
I have a Samsung J5 (2015) SM-500FN which ran out of storage and basically hung itself up. There is no data I want to recover, but I want to install either a stock ROM or (preferably) something else like Lineage - I just want to get a usable phone again.
My problem:
I have tried to download *many* stock ROM
s from reputable sources like SamMobile (for this specific phone, but trying different release dates and country codes) but every single one of those ZIPs is corrupt, even when downloading from a different computer.
Flashing with ODIN anyway gives a FAIL result and a device that cannot boot, not even into recovery: It gives a green screen with the text: `An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software.`
Ironically, the Smart Switch software just says this device is not supported. The older Kies3 software lets me enter the exact model# followed by the serial# - but then it says this device is not supported. So neither Samsung software is usable, but I can still use ODIN.
Even with the phone in this broken state, I can install TWRP again. So it is not completely bricked. I boot into TWRP and copy a LineageOS ZIP file to /sdcard, but when I try to install that, the TRWP console says: `E3004: This package is for device j5nlte,j5nltexx; this device is .` Note how it doesn't appear to recognize that this device is indeed the model j5nlte!
Android.SE says that "E3004" means my TWRP is too old, but I use `twrp-3.1.1-1-j5nlte` which is currently the newest version for this phone.
I would also like to try a factory reset, but that requires the stock recovery which won't boot (see step 2 above).
My question: How do I get out of this catch-22?
It seems that if I could just get around that E3004 then I would be fine. But I have found no ways to trick the installer into ignoring that error.

Flash an updated twrp .IMG file which you can extract from the file here j5nlte (TWRP)
Just flash the img in twrp and reboot to recovery
Then with the updated twrp try flashing the rom again

No problem at all, glad all is working for you now. Happens all the time with people having the wrong recovery its no big deal but a lesson learned is always make a backup in twrp before going tinckering around with things or keep a copy of a rom, that you know works, on your SD card.

Jiayu S3 advanced 3 Gig NFC Bricked

I wanted to update to the newest MadOS. To do so, you should use the TWRP version mentioned there. I first tried to update to that TWRP version. That did not work. I thought maybe first go back to stock rom before upgrading to that version of TWRP. I searched the internet and found the KitKat 4.4.4 stockrom. I flashed that one with SP Tools. So far no problem. When i started the phone I found that it was not an multilanguage version. It was Chinees. I was able to change language in English, but several apps and signs were in Chinees. So I thought i searh for another stockrom.
I found one at chinagadgetsreviews.com. The description said that it was suitable for the s3 advanced and it was the S3SW version. The file i downloaded was
JIAYU S3 (3+16) Android 4.4.4 ROM(S3-20150314-141844)(PC+SD card versions).
So I flashed that one with SP Tools. But at 84% the upgrading stopped. I waited for one hour but it really stopped. I disconnected and reconnected the phone to the PC. From there, the phone was no longer recognized and when i tried to start the phone it starts till you see the wite Jiayu letters and then it stops loading. I tried to start the phone in recovery (I thought maybe the old TWRP is still on the phone). Starting in recovery worked, but no twrp. It started in the old Jiayu recovery. Then I put the sd version mentioned above on the sd card and with the Jiayu recovery I could update to this version. , but I think both versions, the sd and PC versionare not suitable for the S3 Advanced, cause starting the phone still stops by the white jiayu letters.
As far as i see there are two solutions possible.
1) Someone could help me with an nandroid backup. (Then i have to change the imei numbers afterwards)
2) Convert a stockrom to a version that works on SD, but i do not know how that works, so i prefer a Nandroid backup from someone.
Is there someone around withj a nandroid backuop for the jiayu advanced 3 Gig NFC.

What error message do you get if you update to twrp_20180417.img?
I have S3 Advanced (MT6752, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal) which had originally Android 5.1 (Build Number: CKY_MOBILE_JIAYU_S3A_V1.0). I used SP Flash tool to flash twrp_20180417.img to the recovery partition. I used the scatter file from RC5_S3PRO_32GB.zip. My recovery partition starts at 0x0000000002d20000 and has length 0x0000000001000000. The recovery partition was the only one that I flashed.
Then I booted to the just flashed TWRP and installed madOS_8.1.0_s3_h560_20190722.zip and open_gapps-arm64-8.1-nano-20171224-UNOFFICIAL.zip. Now I am a happy Android 8.1.0 user!
