Hello, I tried to install the stock rom but it seems to brick the phone, now it only loads the fastboot mode and when I try to install the TWRP it only stays on the fastboot screen and does not go beyond
I tried to use MSMDownloader but when I hit start I get the error "images do not match with the phone"
What version of MSMDownloader are you using? I'm assuming you are using a T-Mobile branded 6T, as I get the same issue with the global packages. Try following this guide and using the 4.0.58 version and it's patch. That should let you get around the error.
T-Mobile 6T to International Conversion (WITHOUT unlocked bootloader/SIM unlock!)
In the previous thread, we discussed a method to convert T-Mobile 6T's to the international variant, sort of, but it required an unlocked bootloader, which itself requires a SIM unlock which T-Mobile gives people a hard time about. However, it...

That I do not know, but it should allow you to flash any fastboot images as if it was a unbranded version. If that does not work then I'd try some of the Android 9 versions of the MSMDownload tool.

I looked before posting but did not see the answer to this so....I have the TMobile one plus 6T sim unlocked but bootloader is still locked down (for now) is there a way without unlocking the bootloader to install the OTA's that are downloadable from the OnePlus website?

Those would be international/unlocked 6T Noms and are not compatible.
So the only way to get the updates as they are available is to unlock the bootloader and flash the international rom?

Yes. I did and I have the T-Mobile 6T. Just use the fastboot version to convert and then update to 9.0.7. But please read all the directions thoroughly, so you don't make a mistake. PM me if you need help.
Is there a way to get the newest version of TMobiles Oneplus 6T software downloaded on my device? I have the TMobile variant now and I need to use the Unlock app to unlock my phone because I just finished paying it off. The TMobile software comes preloaded onto the device but now I no longer have it. I wanted to know if there is A. a way to download the Device Unlock TMobile app or B. downgrade to a TMobile software version. I turned my device into an international version.

Reflash back to TMobile OS from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/tool-t-mobile-oneplus-6t-msmdownloadtool-t3868916 then SIM unlocked your phone using TMO unlock app, then flash back to international OOS of your likings.

Awesome! Thank you, I was searching for the longest time for this and could not find it at all.
I've done a lot of reading and am still confused about something. I know that if you have a SIM unlocked T-Mobile, you can then unlock the bootloader. Once that's done, you can then flash the stock OOS to your T-Mobile device. But, what I'm confused about, is can I then take standard OTA's after flashing stock OOS? A couple of threads that I've read indicate that you can't take the OTA. I run linux on my computer so cant use the flashall.bat. Nor can I use the qualcom tool that I've read about since that's a Windows tool. So, what can I do? Can I use fastboot to flash a stock OOS version and then take OTA's afterwards? I haven't purchased my 6T yet. I like the cheaper prices of the T-Mobile version (can even get ones already unlocked) but I'm leary of not being able to take an OTA.
I can confirm that the TMO does indeed receive OTA (in my experience) after flashing international ROM. Mind you that TMO variant still doesn't have A10. If I were you, I'd buy an international variant of the phone. Since you use Linux, maybe install virtual machine to boot Windows or dual boot Linux.

What is A10?
They're the same exact phone except the international version has a dual SIM tray, T-Mobile version has a single SIM tray. From what I've read, you could take a dual SIM tray and put it in the tmobile version, and wallah, dual SIM 6T.
I bought the tmobile version, figured there was some sort of hardware difference to optimize it for tmobile, but nope, same darn phone.

Once you flash over to the international version, you won't get updates from tmobile, but you will straight from the source, so you'll get the updates quicker.
Really no point in staying on the tmobile OOS.
I have to keep my phone rooted for certain apps, so there's like a couple of extra steps for me to take when updating. But if you're just planning on staying vanilla, you can update just fine.
I finally got my 6T. I found a nice, and nicely priced, 6 GB RAM 128 GB storage model on Swappa. And of course it's unlocked so now I don't have to worry about when I'll get updates from T-Mo.

So I've been out of the game for a while when it comes to converting and custom things. Right now I am on OoS 10.3.4 and was wondering if I could backtrack to the international version or could I just jump over? I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. Lol. Also, I haven't seen anything on unlocking the bootloader if already on OoS 10.3.4. I'm coming from Samsung devices, so don't roast me too bad guys. Lol. Thanks in advance for the help and stay lifted my friends.

You definitely don't want to ever downgrade unless it's using this msm tool. This is actually how I unlocked my bootloader on my T-Mobile 6t. By following directions on thread I'm linking here I was able to covert my device from T-Mobile model to an international model. Afterwards I then updated to latest OOS 10.3.4 full international rom... Careful because TMobile released a 10.3.4 OOS as well from what I've read on here. But running that patched tool converted me then I just did a simple fastboot oem unlock and selected to unlock my bootloader. Ill link firmware thread for international 6t here too. Will grab link after I make this comment and return and add it here in same post.
The msm tool allows you to downgrade but as far as I know trying to downgrade any other way will result in a brick,,which this same tool is also used to unbrick..

Flashable OOS firmware: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/oneplus-6t-global-repo-oxygen-os-builds-t3865396
I'm not sure as to if you can flash over. I wouldn't try it. I would follow first link I posted here and all will be smooth.
You can try some wild **** but I wouldn't if I were you. Far as bootloader unlock goes if your device is TMobile you must request an unlock code from T-Mobile and it takes 7 days. Then use code to unlock bootloader...If you covert you can just do fastboot oem unlock and your unlocked and then you can upgrade to whatever international version of OOS you want to be on and your good. Once you follow that thread I linked for converting you will then be on some ancient OOS international firmware and because your no longer TMobile model after running the patched tool from conversion thread no need for stupid code from T-Mobile to unlock your bootloader... Since your international model 6t now you can just do simple: sudo fastboot oem unlock and select yes on device and your then bootloader unlocked. If you want to stay on T-Mobile OOS 10.3.4 you can unlock bootloader just have to get code from T-Mobile and wait a week then use code to unlock your bootloader..
Request TMobile unlock bootloader code:
https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t-unlock-bootloader-root/
To bypass having to get code from T-Mobile and wait a week , converting to international 6t makes that happen for you..

@lunerceli
No worries, I have an OP 6T TMobile running 10.3.4 OOS and I just rooted/unlocked bootloader yesterday. As others have said, if you want to stay on 10.3.4 you do need to get the unlock code from TMobile, they'll email you a .bin file then you can go into ADB and flash it to unlock bootloader. The whole thing took 2 minutes once I had the unlock code. From there you can go about rooting it normally, flash TWRP/Magisk, custom ROM etc.
I had also thought about using the msm tool to downgrade to 9 and convert to international but I was scared about going to a lower version (didn't know if that would cause a brick) so I just waited the week for the unlock code.
Guys,
I have read the whole forum and my understanding is:
My phone is Model HD1925, purchased in B&H.
- there was no option to flash international / stock non t-mobile firmware in 2021 at least. Is it possible to do now?
- if flash international/non t-mobile firmware/rom is not possible, is it a way or need top get rid off from T-Mobile soft ?
- is it another custom ROM which can be installed?
There are several sites, I have found which provide an instructions to flash international firmware, but this is really opposite to xda forum and makes me suspicious.
The phone will be given to a kid, so I prefer to clean it up from unneeded SW and also keep it up to date due to security reasons.
I'm not living in USA and not care about 5G.
The phone is SIM unlocked and bootloader unlocked using OnePlus .bin file.
Current version is 11, April 1, 2022 Update.
Really appreciate your help.
Hey, there. I'm sorry to tell you that you can't do that, because the hardware of 1+7tpro International Edition is very different from that of McLaren special edition. Before your release, I have tried to use the 9008 after-sales firmware of Chinese Version (hd1910) to brush into this phone, but unfortunately, this phone can't work, and even entered Qualcomm's crash mode. My suggestion is to use ADB to freeze all programs related to T-Mobile, so, You can enjoy 5g and later OTA updates.
