Hi people.
Is it possible to unzip or unrar files in android smart TV?
Can't find any app able to do it, in android tv's play store.
Thanks for any answer.
Easy ways to Unzip Files on Android TV
Go to the Google Play Store and install Files by Google. Files Go was rebranded Files by Google in late 2018.
Open Files by Google and locate the ZIP file you want to unzip.
Tap the file you want to unzip.
Tap Extract to unzip the file.
Tap Done.

This is something else I guess. This is something very simple but I just don't get it.
So basically what I need to do that I can install software example finger bowling from....
w w w.freeware4android.net/toshiba-folio-100-device-1711/games-tag/finger-bowling-get-18990.html
So I download zip file and unzip it to my Folio. So is there some trick when I do not download it direct to my Folio but via my laptop.
Currently I have 3g via laptop only.

It is very unlikely that windows changed the file extention. Probably the site you downloaded from doesn't support files with the .apk extention and they changed it to .zip to allow the upload.
Say I like the icons on one CM9 ROM and want to use them on another, any way I could locate them and save them to the SD? If so where are they located? I've been looking through my root files, and haven't found them. Thanks.
One way to retrieve the icon, is to pull the apk for which ever program icon you want and using 7-Zip (or zip program of your choice, to open apk in another zip program you must rename from .apk to .zip. 7-zip automatically recognizes apk files as an archive, which is nice. ) , open the apk and look in /res/drawable-mdpi and find the icon and copy it to your device.

Thank you very much.
I'm trying to find where all the .apk files are located on the Nexus 4. I'm rooted and I can see the system .apk files under /system/app. Where would the .apk files be located that I have downloaded from the Play Store?
I beleeve in data/app at least for the free ones you downloaded
With my former rooted S2 I was perfectly able to connect it with my desktop and the program Android Commander recognised it. I used that software to transfer files to the root folders.
Now I have a stock-rooted S4, I wanted to use Android Commander again. But alas, it doesn't recognise my phone.
I don't have any clue as to what is causing Android Commander to not 'see' my S4.
I would like to know if anyone is able to use this software with their S4.
Or if anyone has an idea how to fix my problem.
Thanks.

You have to update the ADB counsel on bin folder
Steps:
1- Download View attachment bin.rar
2- Extract with replace to all 4 files on bin folder "C:\ProgramFiles\Android Commander\bin" or "C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Android Commander\bin" if you have windows x64.
3- enjoy using Android Commander:good:
Note: either change the folder security to add permission for everyone to allow winrar to extract and replace the files directly or extract the rar file outside (i.e. desktop) and simply copy and replace the files.
If it help you, please hit thanks below:good:

Thankyou very much dear,,, its working fine after update bin folder...
This helped me with AC not recognizing the S4.
Anyway, how do you get it to obtain root access? On the Xperia I had to use an app called ADBD Insecure, but it doesn't seem to work on the S4.
I'm using CM11 but would like to have the Samsung ringtone and notification sound, I have downloaded a .RAR file of the S4 firmware, where can I find the ringtones files inside the .RAR file?
Thanks

Good. I presume, you have downloaded the ROM to PC, right?
So, here is the procedure how to sort out your problem:
1. go to ghisler.com or other web page;
2. Download total commander or another file manager;
3. unpack your ROM file;
4. Look carefully into it.
5. Delete any and all files, one by one.
6. Delete original rar archive.
7. Open notepad (or other word processor) on your PC
8. Write at least 150 times the sentence: "I wil NOT download sevreal gigs without thinking what for I am doing this"
9. got to Google Play search for apk named: Samsung S4 Ringtones
I think it will sort out your current problem, and even furthermore, except of the step 9, the procedure shall sort out most of your future problems as well...
