Has anyone been able to flash and have the latest magisk version work on shield? I've had no look thus far
bump
I use magisk delta 25.2, I think it is the latest version.
Did it by flashing modified boot.img available in 2019 section.

Hello everyone,
With the recent update of Google's security patches for November, most custom ROMs won't boot anymore when Xposed modules are installed.
This problem seems related to a whitlelist, which makes it impossible for Xposed to activate modules and results in a endless bootloop.
So at the moment, there are (only) two solutions:
Downgrade to an older build (recommended: before November)
Or just wait until @rovo89 found a solution and updated Xposed
But for everyone else who don't have time to wait, I have found a solution: Just replace libandroid_runtime.so with the one from former builds.
So I've made a flashable zip with lib files from a previous build which was working with Xposed fine (I've used cm-13.0-20161102-NIGHTLY-kenzo) for arm64 devices and it seems to work fine
Before flashing please make a backup of /system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so and /system/lib64/libandroid_runtime.so, I am not taking any responsibility for soft-bricked devices
Instructions:
Download flashable zip file
Reboot to recovery
Flash xposed-v86-bootloopfix-sdk23-arm64.zip
Reboot!
Now your phone should be able to boot back without getting a bootloop :fingers-crossed:
Thanks a lot for this solution to @aviraxp on GitHub!
Download: bit[dot]ly[slash]2g7DXoE
Yes, It saved my phone after flashing this new version of Xposed.

Hey, anyone got this to function yet? I've tried the official framework from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
And Magisk 17.1 from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
But none of these work I just get bootlops, too bad cause they've fixed the 3G in 15.1 which didnt work in 14.1
Anyone got any suggestions?

Did you install xposed using the xposed magisk module?
Open magisk manager
Goto downloads
Search xposed
Select xposed sdk 27 (for Android 8.1)
Install
Restart
Note installing xposed will likely cause safetynet to fail

Could anyone provide magisk patched boot.img for latest verstion MP5 or the original boot.img for it?
Thanks
I made it success. But my global region is different from you. I made new thread how-to-root. Please refer that.
Hi, does anyone have been using Magisk Module Riru Edxposed on their H990DS Oreo? How's the experience? I found a thread in reddit who share that their system became lagging after installing this magisk module. Anyone care to share the experience? Much appreciated. Thanks!
I have been using it on the US996 stock Oreo, I doubt there are many differences between the variants.
I did use much earlier versions of EdXposed that seemed to have lag issues that caused me to go back to the original Xposed.
Current versions seems to be OK thought with the added benefit of SafetyNet passing.
Keep in mind that I am currently using the beta Magisk (21.0), 21.1 caused bootloops, with the Canary version of EdXposed.
I have also used EdXposed with the stable Magisk 20.0 with no issues other than SafetyNet was harder to pass.
Beta Magisk 21.x needs plugins to be updated for it, only the Canary versions work for it as far as I know, the versions available in the Magisk repository are not compatible, they throw up errors during install.
Some updates.
I tried the very latest Canary and Alphas (0.5.1.3_xxxx) and had issues with random restarts.
The 0.5.0.6_xxxx versions are much more stable, I would stick with those for the time being.
i have been trying to update my S7E and S7 herolte and have run into a road block.
i love root and have been switching to the new magisk with zygisk, but it always fails for me
and i found this at the magisk github
[Wontfix] Zygisk cannot activate on some old Samsung devices with old kernel (3.19-) #5395Device: Samsung
Android version: N/A
Magisk version name: N/A
Magisk version code: 24102
For some old Samsung devices, there's a kernel restriction that whenever exec an ELF from /proc, the process can no longer call some systemcalls. For kernel 3.19+, the workaround is fexecve, but it does not exist for the old kernel. Users with those devices should use a custom kernel bypassing such a restriction or a newer version.
so if anyone knows of an android 11 or 12 rom for the S7 &S7E with a newer kernel please post it here. and ill test it out.
thanks for your efforts.
I'm using floyd rom android 10 with magisk 24.3 & zygisk. You also can use LOS 19.1 with magisk 24.1 & Zygisk.
