Guys, I recently installed Android 10 Update on My Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and now it doesn't detects any sensor. (It had a hard fall on the floor)
(Games which use Gyroscope are also not working)
Hey buddy, this is likely a because of corrupt or no Persist file. Persist file links and controls all the sensors of your device. Try clearing all partitions and flash persist file with the rom you are using. This worked for my redmi note 7s (Lavender)

First download cpu-z from the play store and install it, go to sensors tab and see if sensors are showing, if they are showing sensors are working. If they are showing you have a different problem.
If not find a guide to backup the persist image first. It took me a while to find the right partition to backup. This step i very important.
I don't have the links for all the download you have to do, maybe someone here can provide them.
I'm not responsible for bricking devices, this is on your own risk.
Step 1: backup your current persist.img.
Step 2: download qualcomm recovery tool for oneplus 2 (1,2 GB) and extract it to your pc, this will have the original persist.img file.
Step 3: download fastboot and adb
Step 4: put phone in to fastboot mode
Step 5: run fastboot erase persist, now all your sensors are gone!!!
Step 6: run fastboot falsh persist persist.img
Step 7: reboot and look if sensors are working.
If your not comfortable doing this steps, please contact Oneplus support, they can help you with one of there remote sessions.
Hoped i helped.

Tysm buddy
I enabled cam 2 api on my stock ROM and it functioned well on my device later I unlocked my bootloader and flashed custom ROM lean os and I downloaded Google cam for this ROM too and it worked and for some reasons I reflashed the lean os and flashed gapps with it and then the problems started I found G cam installed on my device through gapps and when I launched it asked me for some permissions which I allowed Thereafter G cam just crashes or Force closes no matter how many times l launch it
And I tried doing
1. Installing modded apk
2. Reinstalling as system app
3. Reinstalling as 3rd party application
4. Wiping entire rom and reflashing
5. Flashing camera 2 api
6. Switching to other ROM ( Pixy's os, Havok os,
Lineage is 15.1)
7. Installing G cam without G apps package
And none of this method worked for me
And I do check out the face unlock feature and what I found was interesting face unlock is working and I am almost sure that for face unlock it uses trusted face provided by google and it uses g cam for authenticate our face and this feature is working perfectly
So that means my g cam is working but why can't I open it or why it is always crashing
I am sure that this issue has nothing to do with camera 2 api bcz it is enabled
Initially I believed the problem was due to camera 2 api failure and I tried to enable them by
1. Editing build.prop
2. Using adb shell command
3. Flashing camera 2 api using twrp
And I am sure that camera 2 api is enabled on my device
But why it is not working
And now I am DOOMED
If someone can plzz help me
Cause I'm a little bit confused
Bro I had also the same problem , what I done is that while flashing costom ROM in twrp I don't clean flash the ROM ,I flash it over stock rom, I just manually clear the system and vendor and nothing else and flash havoc Os with aroma gapps and dude the g cam is now working , after the first flash u can clean flash by manually clearing the system ,cache , data , vender , and your g cam will not force stop again .
I don't understand it correctly bro
You mean that you went back to the stock ROM after this issue started and you flashed havok os over the stock wiping only system and vendor partition
Is that correct bro
And if you go back to the stock tell me which method you used
1: flashing stock ROM zip file in twrp
OR
2: reflashing the firmware file using adb

Reflashing the firmware file using adb
If you have current ROM backup then restore it and flash over it , if not flash stock rom with twrp and let it boot up and then dirty flash ROM over it . You need to do this only once.
Thanks bro
I will do it today and report it here
But I have one more doubt the stock ROM is Oreo and if I dirty flash pie over it there's any problem..
Reply fast bro
I flashed stock rom a g cam worked but when I dirty flash room and flash g apps again it stops
Now g cam works only on stock rom for me
Dit that happened to you

Solution- dont flash stock gapps or higher. Only flash mini gapps and lower. It will definitely fix your problem
Hello! I bought Chinese version of the note 7 with 6gb of RAM and 64gb of storage and unlocked my bootloader and flashed xiaomi eu miui ROM after that and rooted with magisk 19 and everything was working, but then I decided to try some gsi roms and didn't like them so much so decided to flash the latest xiaomi eu ROM again version 9.4.11 which I am on right now, since then the fingerprint section has been dissappeared and even if I set up screen pattern it won't accept it after I have drawn it the right way and also in twrp I can't seem to mount the vendor partition.I have a full backup made with everything working before I decided to play around with gsi roms, but it won't mount the vendor partition in twrp so right now I don't have any screen lock because if I set up the pattern lock it won't accept it after I have set it up anyone knows how to fix it or why my fingerprint has dissappeared?
I had this issue too while messing with GSI roms. I'm not sure what solved the issue, but my fingerprint returned after several clean flashs switching between miui.eu and PHH AOSP GSI
Okay.Sorry for the late reply, been busy, but ya it looks like clean flashing solves the problem,so anyone having the same problem as we did just clean flash the original firmware either thru miflash (didn´t use that personally) or by flash_all.bat which comes with the firmware zipped,in my case it was the chinese variant and I downloaded it from https://androidmtk.com/download-xiaomi-stock-rom-for-all-models that page.

The link you gave is for chinese stock rom? And this won't relock the bootloader?
Yes it's the stock chinese one and it won't relock the bootloader If you ise the flash_all.bat file included in the zip
My gravity sensor on mix3 5g is not working properly . So I flashed my mix3 5g with different ROM and still not working .I did some researching and I think maybe the problem is cause by persist.img ,but I tried to flash it with fast boot,it says the persist paitition is read protected, then I installed the TWRP, try to flash persist with TWRP,but I can not see the persist partition when I try to flash persist.img into the persist partition.
Can anyone give me some advice, what can I do about this situation.
Thank you so much for the help.
Hello guys,
I bought a Mi 9T by a reseller couple of days ago and noticed how the auto-brightness was not working. Same for auto-rotation.
I found out through CIT that the accelerometer and gyroscope sensors weren't responding, calibrating them also not possible.
The installed ROM was 11.0.4.0 Global Stable.
I already looked through multiple threads on XDA since this seems to be a common issue and tried to solve the problem as instructed.
1) Unlocked Bootloader
2) Installed TWRP (3.3.1)
3) Flashed persist (after mounting it) with the persist.img I extracted from the 11.0.4.0 Global Stable Fastboot ROM
The process seemed to be fine, but after multiple reboots, CIT still showed that the sensors didn't wake up.
I then flashed the 10.3.11 Global ROM via MiFlash and flashed persist.img again (sensors still dead) .
Other things that were posted and that I've tried that couldn't solve the issue:
a) simg2img /sdcard/persist.img /sdcard/persist_EXT4.img <and> dd if=/sdcard/persist_EXT4.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist
b) Changing the persist lines in the Fastboot ROMs rawprogram0.xml and flash_all.sh .... only that there are no such lines in the several ROMs I've downloaded.
I've now rooted the phone in order to copy some sensor files to /persist/sensors as described in this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-mix-2/help/mi-mix-2-sensors-expect-proximity-sensor-t3777015),
but could not find a persist folder in my root directory.
Is there no hope at all?
I am having the same issue, still could not fix it.

The method you mentioned requires flashing the fastboot/tgz stock rom
Anyway, in TWRP, mount Persist and then in Advanced, File manager, you can see the Persist PARTITION (and its folders) - as on the screenshot
