Hello friends, I have a problem with my s-pen on Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.
It has stopped working for a while, I have tried to wipe cache, restore factory data.
I even thought it could be the update from android 10 to 11 and I downgraded it from 11 to version 10 but the problem persists.
I also tried the S-pen on another S6 tablet and it works without problems, the problem has to be with my screen and I'm afraid I'll have to take it to the technical service.
I hope to be lucky and that someone like me had the same problem and knows how to fix it without having to take it to be fixed.

You need to make sure your Air Command is updated. Everything I feel like my S-Pen is not working well, I will the updates. How to get there. Just go to your settings and then go to advanced features than click S-Pen, than scroll all the way down, to where it says "about S-Pen features. Than click on Air Command. Than you will see it update. I had the same problem. Make sure to buy tips/nibs for your pen, for the best interactions on your screen. Make sure to get only the ones for your tablet. If you get the right ones, it should be white and black tips/nibs in the bag. White one are plastic and the black one is rubber. White ones are smooth. If you need anything else just let me know. Just in case that doesn't work let me know. Good luck

I have a Viewsonic Viewpad 10s and some problems with the screen, I flashed at first the version Vegacomb 9n + Update 3. At the beginning it was wonderful but then the screen does not work properly. Even after a reboot did not care much. I went to ClockworkmodRecovery and flashes Honey Ice, it was back to normal. Some time later came the same problem, can someone tell me what it is?
The other question is, what ROM is to recommend the best? The tab is a Christmas present, I do not want to have again after 2 days because it is not reasonable ...
I am in a German forum, but there are not really someone who has the problem with the screen ...

I had the same problem with my Viewpad 10s with Vegacomb, HoneyIce and newer roms. One of the original issues was using it while it was plugged into the charger the screen became either unresponsive, or would randomly apply keystrokes that were not touched. Two people posted solutions, heating the outside of the tab with a hair dryer, and putting more pressure on the tab (squeezing the case) as you were touching the screen. I did find the extra pressure did help, but it was crazy trying to get the pressure just right. also noticed that screen worked differently in portrait and landscape mode. I often had to use portrait mode to slide the unlock across, while landscape would not allow the tab to unlock.
I decided to "downgrade" the rom to stock, it worked, then to modified stock, it worked but had some touchscreen inconsistencies, then to Corvus 5 rom, which I read somewhere solved other peeps touchscreen problems. Once I got Corvus 5 up and unlocked, I used his screen recalibration tool in apps and everything works perfect. I've been up and running for a month with no touchscreen problems. I even backed up Corvus 5, and tried Vegacomb and HoneyIce again. They worked for a couple of days, and then tab went back to touchscreen issues. I'm thinking it's a kernel sensitivity issue, but I'm know expert, and it's not happening on enough tabs for devs to take as a serious issue.

you are one of the lucky ones man..i tried Corvus 5, true the method you described and still have the issues, well..actually i tried every single Rom and no luck.
I know it's mostly a hardware problem, the only differences in Rom's is the heating they produce, some more, some less..so depending on how bad your case is, you might find a balance and make it work for some time..or no time..
By the way, anyone knows if it's possible to disable the touchscreen inputs, from terminal, adb commands or maybe some app?
So 6 months down the line I have reached a time where something has gone wrong with the phone.
Unfortunately I am not into rooting and In general happy with the phones capabilities.
However after the 4.1.1update its been sticking and acting weird. The keyboard can never remember the default setting I put it in, lockscreen shortcuts cannot be deleted after a while, and screen types or number cannot be deleted either. Touchwiz crashes and sometimes it fixes itself by hard resetting, sometimes it doesn't. The gmail wasn't updating yesterday either nor I was given the option to re-enable sync. The email client kept counting the emails after deletion of the read ones as -1....
God knows how many times I had to redo my contacts- calendar, settings etc... because of course no backup program is actually that good.
I have contacted samsung and they want to see the phone and decide if it can be repaired. I'm going to be left without a phone which is a tool for my work. Do you think I ought to get a loan phone or replacement?
Is there anything I can try before I send it that might work?

Gmail had some problems over the past couple of days.
If your deem it necessary, send it in for diagnostics, by all means. They will reflash your phone with new software and see what's what.

after sending the phone to samsung, i am told that they updated the firmware, so the problems were eliminated.
I am waiting to pick up the phone tomorrow, so hopefully it will be back in business.
in the meantime i have also bought the front panel and back cover along with some assorted parts to make my white phone into pebble blue. Cool stuff! Dont know how to root the phone,but im good with changing the appearance of it!:laugh:
just an update on this.
i got the phone back with all they have done is upgraded to 4.1.2
the phone once i start to put my info back on gets stuck on the following areas:
1) deleting screens on touchwiz, the screen taken to the dust bin, crashes touchwiz and are not able to delete it.
2) Default keyboard turns back to samsung on every restart, even though you set a different default. This was also found to be true from samsung technical team!!!
3) Lockscreen options delete, also crushes touchwiz.
What i usually do after each hard reset is to eliminate the animations(all off) as i want the phone to go faster, i there is speculation that this may be the cause. I have now used up to .5 animation and so far its ok.
However the default keyboard is the only annoying thing now, and i cannot get rid of the samsung keyboard as i dont know how, and im reluctant to root just for that at risk of warranty!
All this has started after the 4.1.1 upgrade by the way,
and as i went and bought a second S3 today, brown one which looks fab, it did EXACTLY the same thing! so i returned it of course.
If others test it similarly and the same things happen, maybe samsung may need to log this as a bug and issue an update in the future.
1. My S3 did not crash when I deleted 5 pages of screens.
2. I love the default keyboard.

Can only suggest you send it back to them making sure they know they didnt fix it last time
Clearing data for Touchwiz launcher can fix the launcher crashes.
Would that also clear my settings?
Also how can it be that 2 completely different phones in manufacturing times had the exact same problem?
Those who tried the above, did you take the animations to off?

Unfortunately the samsung technicians are at a loss themselves. My s3 on 4.0.4 had no such issues

so get them to swap the phone under warranty. They cant find/fix the problem, the problems you have arent generic to the phone so they should give you a working model

What good will it make if they change the phone? Since a completely new phone does exactly the same. Should I be changing every phone until I get one that works? How long will that take?
I was betting that a new phone would work and hence I bought the new one which I returned immediately of course as id had the same issues. This is why it makes me think it may be a firmware bug

well as not every phone is doing the same it would probably do some good but its upto you.
as i said earlier, not every phone has this faults, yours is the only one ive ever heard of with those faults. Its certainly not a firmware bug as its never happened on mine
Have you done exactly what I have above?
Jelly bean 4.1.2 or 4.1.1, animations to off, and also use a different keyboard and after setting the default see if samsung keyboard comes back as default?
I find it very hard to believe that I went and bought a random phone that once I did the above it immediately reacted as my previous one.And at the same time a technician from samsung also verifying that the samsung keyboard always flips back to default as well!!! The default only changes if you restart the phone, not on the fly
I cannot play a game with samsung to have the phone back and forth as its a daily tool for me. Unless I get a second handset as a replacement I cannot see any point me sending phones back and forth.

still, if you dont want to believe me and think that every single gs3 out there is faulty its upto you i guess. Personally id be getting the phone swapped but thats just me
Thanks for verifying that at least your phone works fine. I will have to see what I have to do. So far I bet samsung wont do anything and according to them they have to try and fix it 3 times before they offer a replacement for it. What a shame
SGS III no usb connection only charges

I bought my SIII on Monday(17th)....plugged it in my laptop and it worked fine.....But for the last couple of days whenever i plug it using the usb cable it only charges and the pc doesn't even recognize it. I tried checking this through the device manager but still it does not show any device connected to the computer.
I've done a factory reset and still no hope.
Can anyone help me out here ????? this is really frustrating....

Why do want to connect it ? If you to transfer some data you can use airdroid https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid

A small update on this.
Samsung has received my phone and I hope they replace the motherboard for this issue. I'm on i9305 now and I will be selling the s3 once its back from the repair.
I also bought a secondhand s3 and it didn't have any issues with these glitches. For all I know these could be issues of a dying motherboard of this sudden death issue.
Well, I used the Google ROM Edition 4.3 untouched for nearly two months, so far so good, these days I woke up and looked at my S4 and came across this:

That S-View cover screen. that should work only with this hardware feature. by covering light sensor you get this screen, try to disable this function in settings, but normally that looks like bug.

more it can not be a hardware problem? because I thought that this function of the S-View only work on the samsung stock ROM or am I wrong? and I used the Google Edition 4.3 rom and never activated this option.

We'd need a lot more information to even begin to guess at what your issues are. Are you saying that both were working fine and without any obvious event e.g. dropping the phone, harsh handling, etc that they have failed?
Also the meaning of "the screen start to be black" is uncertain at best. Can you elaborate and describe that in more detail? Screenshots usually help as well. There is a built in hardware test on the S5 that you can access to help determine if the screen is responding to touch or not, screen brightness and so forth

If no apparent cause is apparent, you should back up any data you wish to save then try installing a full, stock firmware image (with the Odin software), followed by a factory data reset (from the Settings menu) to confirm that the issues are not a software issue.

No I Buy two cellphones one of them the touch not work but the buttons are working....the phone dont dropped or something its new and the other one is the screen start to be dark and thats it....i dont know why hte cellphones are new...

Hello guys, I have a tablet model SM-T560, and it has been presenting some problems, before I install a custom rom, it was already presenting the defect, which was to crash while I was using an application such as YouTube, video playback in applications, and only getting worse, decided to install a custom rom from kitkat, which i had found in the forum.
I installed it, it worked normal for almost a month, the bricked problem came back and it looked like it was the micro SD card, When i removed the microSD, the problem stopped, it went back to normal for another week, and it was bricked again.
Found another ROM, LineageOS 14.1 worked until yesterday afternoon when it started to reboot again, it could not open an application, which it rebooted non stoped, and the screen crashed and split in two and the colors matched.
[As a last resort I installed STOCK ROM, but the problem did not disappear. Now I have a paper weight in my hands, and I do not know what to do, if anyone knows anything, that I can do. Thanks in advance.

I have just bought one of these. Which means I'm going to find out everything about it very quickly. If you are still paying attention to your post I would like to know which exact liniage ROM did you use, As far as I know it's fairly impossible to brick Samsung devices these days. Let me know if you're still around and if you are still having difficulties.
