SM-G975U1 bootloop + fingerprint scanner not working - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

My SM-G975U1 was around 50% battery when it suddenly died and wouldn't start again. I charged it and it started bootlooping while charging. Eventually, I got into download mode and reflashed my firmware with home_CSC to keep my data. The phone started working like normal but the fingerprint reader stopped working. It wouldn't show up and if I checked settings, it said it stopped working. Is there any fix to this?

Random instability??

So someone called me about 3 hours ago, and my phone just outright died. Couldn't turn it on - no signs of life, even though I had received a call just fine this morning, 2-3 hours before the random crash. Now I couldn't turn it on, and my first guess was that the battery was the culprit, though it was on charge through out the whole night.
So I pugged it into my powerbank, the phone turned on, but kept kinda bootlooping - where the "relock your bootloader pls" message would come up for half a second, followed by the phone restarting again to continue the cycle. This was without the battery charging animation - straight into booting.
After 20 or so tries to turn on it actually did, and I was able to discharge it past the point at which it crashed - most likely excluding the battery as the issue for now.
What could this be? Could it be a chip that's on its way out (as in about to brick my phone)? Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? Or maybe an app to check system stability / hardware test?
Edit: thanks to firefox, for saving the progress of this write up as my phone did the exact same thing after I locked it. My pebble watch vibrated to indicate that the connection is lost and I wasnt able to turn the screen on.
Had to plug the my 6P into my power bank again for it to turn on. Though it didn't do the glitchy bootloop this time.

S7 Edge Doesn't turn on

Hey all,
Recently got an S7 Edge that was working fine, until it crashed suddenly at about 10% battery on the camera app, the screen went black, and the phone is now completely unresponsive, even after charging for a while. While charging there was also no response, no light or vibration. I used the Samsung Fast Charger. Please advise on what I can do, any help is appreciated. I am now leaving it for a while and will try to charge it later.
Thanks
Salman
Did you ever get this issue fixed?

Mobile came back to life last night. One of the post suggested that the phone may switch on once the battery is completely drained. So I waited till last night and plugged it in and it started charging.
It was fine till 10 AM. I inserted the SIM cards and then connected to the laptop. I thought I would backup the data using smart switch before doing a factory reset. The backup went fine till 75% and then boom again turned off. This time there's a lot of battery left, and I might have to wait 4-5 days before it can be drained completely. But I'm now hopeful that it'll eventually turn on and when it does I'll immediately do a factory reset before doing anything else. I'm suspecting that a rogue app might be causing it. This time it might have happened while that app is being backed up. The LED is constant Red this time indicating the state it was connected to the laptop at the time of incident.
Is there anyway to drain battery quickly at this stage?
It turned on again last night when I connected the charger. It was showing the charging symbol. After 5-6 minutes of charge I tried to hold Vol - + Power buttons briefly to reset the device and it went off again. It's lying like a brick currently.

S7 Edge gets into rebooting loop then just went off with no signs of live

my S7edge, with Stock ROM, never flashed or hacked it.
was working perfectly fine.
Last software update package was a week or 2 ago.
Today, the phone suddenly froze while I'm using it, then restarted and kept rebooting automatically in an endless loop.
I tried to force it to go to recovery mood... it would go to a blue screen saying : "Installing updates" and nothing happens.
kept rebooting into safe mode or recovery/download mode until it suddenly just went totally off.
The charger wires were a bit cut lately, so it would give a broken charging lately, not sure if that caused any kind of problems to the battery or mother board.
Since then, I am not able to turn it on again in any mode.
It also doesn't show any indications when a charger is connected.
So right now it is just dead with no signs at all. non responsive to any force power ON nor to charging.
I left it for more than 5 hours now without charging, nothing changed.
Update:
So I left it overnight. In the morning, I connected the charger and indeed it drained to 0% and started being responsive to charging again.
As soon as it charged to 20% I powered it on. It loaded into recovery, giving the no command screen. Then I went on and selected system reboot.
Then it rebooted and Android started, as soon as I tried unlocking it, it froze and started again into an endless rebooting loop until it blacked out again. Now again not responsive.
I will leave it to drain again. Does anyone know what I shall do when it gets to that endless rebooting sequence. It is obvious that Android had a malfunction... not sure what as I didn't do anything new last week..
Is there a way to get it through without factory reset?
Thanks

Bro flash latest stock rom
Solved !
It was already on stock ROM.
After lots of troubleshooting, rebooting in safe mode without the SD card worked fine. I then rebooted in Recovery mode, wiped the cashe, rebooted again normally with no SD card. Then inserted the SD card after.... got a message that SD card is not supported (seems it got corrupted somehow).
Anyways, now it's fine... let's see for how long...

S8 plus stuck in boot loop , after battery drains to zero percent

I'm having the following issue:since I bought a used set,
First time it happened when battery drained to zero percent , the phone went to boot loop., the local technician heated what they called a memory chip and phone turned on again normally.
2nd time around the battery reached zero and when
i plugged it in it went into boot loop.
I went to local mobile market and now they say its mother board issue , heating the memory or as they say, it doesnt seem to be working.
I've tried reset and everything
Nothing works but the phone does go into download mode still.
Hope u can help.
Did you try flashing the original firmware into it? It could be a bug or something Unless its mechanical.

Galaxy S10+ Sudden Death

Hello
So I ran into this issue last night.
I've recently purchased Galaxy S10+ AT&T model SM-975U.
The phone was working perfectly for several days until last night it suddenly shut down and I could not turn it on since then.
Now some facts:
• The battery was well charged, above 80%.
• I tried force restart, both Volume down first then power button method and Vol up + Bixby + Power Button simultaneosly, no effect whatsoever, the phone responded to nothing.
• I also tried to charge it with OEM fast charger and also with another S10+ using wireless power share and tried to perform force restart, but no success there either.
• I also tried to flash new ROM with Odin, but Odin could not see the phone, it did recognize the other S10+.
• The PC did recognize a device connected, but with yellow exlamation mark and some wierd name.
If anyone has experienced this issue and found some solution I would be very grateful if you could share it with me.
Leave it for 2...3 days let it lose its charging then charge it wirelessly. It will be fine. Dont use OEM charger. Just charge it wirelessly.
Had to take it to Samsung service center. Apparently, international warranty means no **** in my country's "official" service center, had to pay some fee for software repair of a phone with 4 months of warranty left.
They could not figure out what caused the issue, though.
