POCO M3 repair. - POCO M3 Questions & Answers

All POCO M3 faults are only software and not hardware, but mostly user errors when updating, when they are impatient, no motherboard heating is needed, we only destroy it, but I don't even have to buy and waste money on expensive repairs, I had a phone incorrect installation of the system in bootlope, I had to open it, short the two EDL points to get to EDL mode and install via Flash tool using POCO M3 Engineering ROM.
I fixed two phones right away.

Engineer rom is a simple android, but you can use it to get where you want to go, for example to fastboot.

Root and warranty

I am fed up with MIUI, and I want to revert back to stock Android. Usually when you root your phone you lose your warranty. But, I have heard that if you root a Xiaomi phone you don't lose your warranty. Is this correct or some hoax?

Rooting your phone and unlocking your bootloader is one thing.
When you try flashing the wrong ROM and brick your phone, it's a completely different story and no company in the world will give you warranty in that case
Just don't overclock your CPU and always keep the Stock ROM ready on your computer. And make a full nandroid backup using TWRP, before you flash any ROM, update or ZIP using the recovery
As long you get the right exact files for your model, verify the integrity before flashing, the chance to hard-brick is almost zero :fingers-crossed: Additionally, fully charge the battery before flashing anything. So you have enough time for rescue attempts, In case you turn into a heavy bootloop and cannot charge the phone
I hope that mine arrives soon, cant await to check out my new phone with Resurrection Remix
Damn that they cannot produce in enough quantities because the high demand I suggest to first use the phone for a week, check if every component is fine.
And also, If done right, you can re-flash and re-lock the bootloader, like when the camera isn't working and you want to return the phone for warranty process

what warranty? chinese promise ?? you should be aware that with this kind of phone your resources of getting your phone fixed is quite limited. other than buying a replacement part and doing it yourself that is.

huawai is also chinese company, the only difference is that they have retail business expanded to other countries where there usually cooperate with retailers and have some sort of service station. basically your contact is always where you buy your device, and they will handle it for you. i recently got my redmi and it's a pretty awesome device for the money it costs. quality wise it's on par to other devices. while you pay alot of money for a chinese brand phone... i am not to sure if it's worth it. it's like they are produced next to xiaomi production site anyhow...
i mean they have quality control and stuff so getting a faulty device is pretty slim, other than that if you crack your screen service doesn't really help alot as well because they charge too much money, other than that redmi note 4 is pretty easy to repair so if there is something going on you are free to try it yourself.

I live in India and they sell phones officially here. We don't have to export xiaomi phones here. So if they are selling phones here so they might have service centres where we can fix our phones. I am talking about that warranty ?

I think you should buy this phone because it is worth every penny. Other than Miui (that you can change) everything is perfect imo.
Then I guess only logical upper version to think about would be LG G5 SE .. Huawei is not an option anymore while its camera also not that quality also i guess
So 180 euro or 320 euro
Thanks for answers
They Have Pick Mi Services which Is Doorstep Delivery (In India),
No need to worry about Service Centers.

[Guide] How to recover lost IMEI on MI MAX 2

Well, today I was playing with my phone trying to get Lineage OS to work, and I got a bootloop. Thankfully, I had a full backup of all the partitions of the phone, made with TWRP, and restored it. It failed to restore the FIRMWARE partition, and now I'm left without an IMEI or WiFi MAC plus my sim card is not detected.
NEVER RESTORE THE FIRMWARE PARTITION IN TWRP OR YOUR IMEI WILL BE LOST
To solve this you simply need to flash Xiaomi.eu rom from recovery or any other miui rom (you can do it via the fastboot method). I'll try and do a guide later, but I leave this here so that if anyone else faces this problem can have it solved.
Cool dude ?

U cannot bypass....just be patient
Yeah, for real, I completely flipped when Xiaomi put a bootloader wait period on one of my devices. I caused as much a fuss as I could, emailed Xiaomi's support in several regions and researched extensively.
There's literally nothing you can do. Xiaomi has complete control over bootloader unlock authorization. As far as I'm aware there's no exploits and even staff at Xiaomi can't/won't override it.
Rest assured when that timer hits 0 you're good to go. Though for now, use the device as normal or switch it off and place it in a drawer for a couple of weeks if it bugs you too much. Just whatever you do, don't reflash it or attempt to change the account on the device; the timer will reset.
Once it's unlocked, avoid relocking it. There's no advantage to relocking the device when flashing images, it won't do a thing.
If you use MiFlash tool, it's worthwhile deleting the scripts suffixed with "lock" in the update folder when doing a fastboot flash from a PC (flash_all_lock.bat and flash_all_lock.sh, you don't want to go near flash_factory.sh/bat either - I'm confused as to why Xiaomi even includes that file in their update zips).
Always use flash_all.bat / flash_all.sh. Bonus tip: edit both files with notepad and remove the line which restarts the device (fastboot reboot is the line if I remember correctly). This way you can skip booting into MIUI and immediately push a custom recovery using fastboot boot C:/path/recovery.img (or fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, boot is temporary).
Ps. Be sure to overwrite that "device unlocked" boot image if you're feeling meticulous.
actually you can bypass it but the solution is not free and very xpensive
My friend has redmi note 5 and for unlock waiting I read somewhere that if you use some old version of Mi tool it would skip the waiting and it did. Is there similar solution for redmi note 7?

POCO F2 PRO - Xiaomi application Dialer/Message/Contacts without root :)

All you need to do is unlock the bootloader and use the Fastboot (MiFlash) method to install the MIUI 12 Indonesian versions. That'S all. We have now a stock system with Xiaomi apps )
