You can't be having two OS unless you have dual boot. I think that you are saying that you have OOS 9.0.17 which is based on Android 9. Presuming that you have only one OS, update it (whichever it is).
If you update the newest oos that will bring you to android 11 theres only one update to do there. If you still want root you'll have to re-root it with magisk then.

Hi all, I wait like all of you the Oreo update, but with this, a little new question brings up in my mind... So, the root?
Yeah, I don't know how it works properly but in previous cases on other devices (always Sony and not) when I update the android version, the root disappear. Or am I wrong?
Btw the real problem is, in positive case, WHO will do it?
Because the developer who create it, like the recovery, for 7.0 (Janjan) has close the project... At this point it is right to update a rooted system and lost root?
Talk about.
Janjan hasn't closed it. He stated in his thread that he plans on releasing updates for Oreo
So always root and recovery? Or directly a rom?
He stated wait for Oreo, then he will get out recovery, and kernel. Then all u have to do is flash SuperSU or magistik. No custom roms from him as he doesn't have phone anymore.
Perfect! Rightly I think he need it too :highfive:
Thank you man!
I've got an opportunity to get a new t380 for free. Can anyone tell me if the OS can still be updated from nougat to pie? Also, considering this is a 2017 build, is it even worth the effort?
Thanks for your thoughts,

Hello, Yes, the device has Android Pie One UI, it is also possable to get twrp and get masigk running, though you will most likey want to stick to Android Nougat beacuse in Android Pie, Masigk is not installing. But this can change. Also there is no custom roms for the 2017 Tab A, but this can change. The tablet will most likey not get android 10, but aleast you will get longer support on Android Pie than on Android Nougat.
Hi there,
I was wondering if it is possible to go back to the original stock rom from OnePlus 5.
I checked the OnePlus website, but they don't provide the stock rom no more.
I watched some YT videos and stuff, and most are about rolling back to 8.0
My phone is not rooted or whatsoever, so i am also looking for a root free rollback.
Thanks !

Hey, thanks for the post but this post goes for updating the OP5 To android 9.0.
I'm looking for a way to rollback from 9.0 to stock rom android or android 7.
I found this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3628190 I downloaded the 4.5.2 one.
I just wonder if its safe to just put the rom to my phone and push the update while i am on android 9.0 with locked bootload and no root. I do not like to break my phone
Also, i am kinda a noob at this point. So please not to much "geek talk" , thanks

I don't think it's possible cause it's a android version downgrade.
This is possible: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/op5-collection-unbrick-tools-t3898870/post78875163
Hi,
I have a question that some experienced user may answer.
I'm running MI 9T global version with MIUI 10.3.9.0 (PFJMIXM) - Android 9. Is it possible to skip Xiaomi suggested upgrades and get directly to MIUI 11 based on Android 10? Or are all upgrades incremental and I need to get through all of them to get to the latest version?
Is it possible to update phone with the latest stock rom without unlocking bootloader?
Thanks for answer.

Hello,
Full OTA update (= Recovery package) can be flashed over any version. So download Recovery/Full OTA and install it.

Yes, you can skip those updates directly to the latest one, no need to unlock the bootloader to complete this process.
I need help with rooting and getting twrp on android 11 OS. I know that there is no current version of TWRP working for Android 11 for Oneplus 8 Pro, however is there a loophole to get twrp on android 11 with no issues being on android 10 first and then rooting the device while on android 10 then flashing twrp, then flashing a stable android 11 OS build. Basically, I'm looking for a detailed list on steps I need to take to get the pixel experience rom to work on this IN2025 model phone. If that means downgrading to android 10 rooting it then flashing twrp then flashing a android 11 zip file through twrp and keeping root that way however I need to make pixel experience rom work I would like as much help as I can get.
There's a Pixel Experience thread in the development section for the 8P. There's also a link to a TG group. Install questions will be best asked there.
