Hi.
Is there any way to do this?
Apparently Call of Duty: Mobile requires a Dual Shock 4 or Xbox One controller in order to work. This defeats the purpose of playing it on a Switch. Which I'm ashamed to say, is a big reason I bought and installed Android on my Switch. To play CoD:M on it during down-time at work (I work night-shifts).
I was wondering, since this is a custom FW anyway, is there any way to trick it into thinking the Joy-Con controllers are actually Xbox One controllers? So it would be registered as such in Android as a whole? The Screenshot-button could be the Xbox-button. Many, if not most/all games with controller support, support Xbox One controllers. I see no downside to that.
If not, is there any working overlay program out there? I tried Mantis Gamepad Pro. l connected it to my PC and activated it. It found the Joy-Cons. I added CoD:M as a game. Started it.
Game started, I went into Practice Room in order to set up my overlay.
There's a semi-transparent green overlay-button in the top left corner, so I press it and try and add a button, and get told to "Press a Button". So I physically press a button on my Joy-Con, and that button pops up as a Virtual Button. I drag the VB over the icon on the screen indicating the action it does (let's say, physical button = RT, VB = dragged over Shoot-icon). Now this is working great, I'm placing the analog sticks, pushing all the buttons and placing them where I want them. It registers my buttons.
But when I close the settings by pressing the semi-transparent icon in the top left corner of my screen (the green icon is still there, but the button layout disappears) and actually try and PLAY the game, none of the buttons are registered when I press them. Nothing happens.
It's like.. so close, yet so far!
I think I have all the settings correct, and I've enabled the app to be on top of other applications or whatever.
If anyone has ANY idea how I can get CoD:M working on my Switch with lineage-17.1-20210510-UNOFFICIAL-foster_tab-signed, that would be awesome!
Thanks for ANY response! Anything helps!

Essentially, I'd like to get even more buttons. With the capacitive screen, we have the 4 hardware buttons for Home, Green & Red and the hybrid back/ok button. There's the 4 directional 'hidden' buttons and of course, the center select buttons.
When you count the scroll/zoom surface, that's 9.
THEN, add in butler and you get 4 more via swipe actions.
I'd like to see a double tap application - or possible extension to butler?
So if you double tap the Home, send, end or back buttons (not press - TAP) you can assign a link or application to them.
Also, is the center button also capacitive? put your finger on it and lights for the other buttons will come on... If so, can we turn it into a 'mouseball' of sorts?
Anyone else see a use for something like this?
GScroll has that.
You can assign programs to launch when you double tap one of the four button locations.
And it can emulate cursor keys left/right/up/down by swiping part of the capacitive area.
And it has a task switcher that activates on a certain capacitive-motion but I can't figure it out how to make it work ok .
The app is 5 bucks from Mobihand, and get the latest beta from their own forum.
Flippin sweet! Thanks!
Anyone know if the center button is capacitive?

yes it is..
OK, so is there any app that uses the center button like a sort of 'rollerball' type input? It could even work like the 'nubs' on the old Toshiba, IBM & Lenovo laptops

I haven't seen an APP for that, but the last beta of GScroll has a mouse pointer activated by the center button and is controlled by touching anywhere on any of the capacitive pads. I don't use is much though. Otherwise it' a great idea, just not sure it would work that well. Who knows?

Aw the days of the good ol' Think Pad clitoris, haha.
Does anyone know how to show the software keyboard during a remote desktop session that is running in full screen mode?
I second this,
does anybody know how, i have connected to my work TerminalServer in full screen landscape, but cannot get a keyboard!!!
any ideas please
i wish to keep using Remote Desktop Mobile!
don't use full screen...
then it's almost fullscreen but with the little icon for the keyboard on the bottom.
I had the same problem. and this worked for me.
i just activate the virtual keyboard of windows when i remote control my computer (go to start --> all programs --> accessories --> Ease of Access (ore sth. like that i dunno the english term) --> onscreen keyboard.
altough, this keyboard is pretty hard to use because it's very small.
I'm desperately trying to find this out too. If you don't run in full screen, you have the big black bar across the top and the big black bar across the bottom. You waste loads of screen space, plus when trying to close a program you often end up hitting the "ok/x" button of win mo. Does anyone have any experience with remote desktop mobile? Any reg tweaks to show a keyboard button?
i haven't tried this myself, but this SHOULD work in theory...
map a button (go to Settings->Personal->Buttons) to "<Input Panel>" (should be at the top of the list of mappable items). i guess only the Send key's Long Hold will be available for most people for mapping purposes...
once mapped to a hardware button of your choice, fire up remote desktop in fullscreen mode and give that button a press...see if the windows mobile on-screen keyboard pops up...
let us know what happens...cheers from pakistan!

I tried this; however the keyboard flashes momentarily and refuses to remain.
try zaDesktop (free), which imo works much better: more configuration options, including screen resolution setting (up 10 1024x768), plus easy access to keyboard - long press on the screen during session and choose "Show keyboard" (see attached pic)
as for Remote Desktop Mobile, the last resort is using PC Windows on-screen keyboard, but it's not that convenient
i have it linked to the gsensor to rotate the screen, then just rotating my phone allows me to call up the keyboard.
Before you get too excited this isn't a fix to the key mapping issue, it is simply me explaining how I've set up the keys to make games be playable on both emulators. with this set up they do work pretty well though.
FpseCE
First of all your going to want a frameskip of 0. With the snapdragon processor I've found that for the games I've tried at least it just makes them slower to add a frameskip.
Now for the keys. First open up the phone and then push the top left of the screen to go into portrait mode with the keys open. Your going to want to set the controller type to dual shock. Once that's done go into multikey. Push buttons 1-8 in order and unselect any buttons that are already highlighted and in use. then go back to 1 and start setting up your keys. This is how I set up mine.
Mutikey PS Controller Key Expo Key
1 Square Left
2 Circle Right
3 Triangle Up
4 X Down
5 R1 Camera Button
6 L1 Applications Button
7 Start Space Bar
8 Select Backspace
For racing games I switch the X and the R1 button because for some reason every time I pushed another key while holding X it would make me press X again to go again. Switching those two keys fixes that problem.
If you want to try and set up it differently for a certain game here is a list of all the keys that work for the LG Expo. (Left, Right, Up, Down, Space Bar, Enter/Ok (two buttons act as the same entry), Backspace, Camera Button, Application Button, Volume Up, Volume down)
Then go out of mutikey by pushing the back button on the phone. Go back to the controller and push the down arrow to set up the analog stick. Click on the box below the left analog stick until it shows a PSP looking device with the screen lit.
Push back on your phone and go into screen mapping. I prefer the 5 by 3 grid. Tap on the middle left most spot and change the control to left analog stick, an L with a circle around it. Make sure the input type is the arrows pointing both ways meaning it will only stay pressed as long as you press it. Then go to icon and change it to a target looking icon with a circle and a circle around it.
Now you're ready to play. Make the game full screen again and now your screen is the analog stick. Anywhere on the screen will actually activate the analog stick. What I do is put my thumb under the image on the screen so I can check and see which way it is facing without lifting my thumb.
MorphGear
The keys that work with MorphGear are the same as with FpseCE and those are (Left, Right, Up, Down, Space Bar, Enter/Ok (two buttons act as the same entry), Backspace, Camera Button, Application Button, Volume Up, Volume down).
I only play GBA games with my phone, so for other systems you may need to set them up differently, although these should work the same for the GB, GBC, NES, and many SNES games if not some others.
For up, down, left, and right I use those same buttons on the keyboard. I then use the Camera Button, Application Button and OK buttons for A, B, and R in different variations depending on the game I'm playing. Then use Volume Up and Volume Down for Start and Select. I put the Space Bar as the L button, but I don't intend on playing games that use it for anything else than occasional use.
If you were to play games that consistently use the L button you could either use Ok and Space Bar for A and B and then use the Camera Button and Application Button for the R and L buttons. However many games would also require you to press A and B at the same time so you would probably have to switch the A and B and the Start and Select buttons. it would be a bit weird holding the phone to play games with the A and B at the volume keys (most of the reason I avoid games that require use of the L key), but it would be playable.
Well, I hope all this helps.
You had me pretty excited there for a minute. Thanks for the info though.
Thanks for your excellent post! Would it be possible for you to upload your fpseCE configuration file? I am having problems getting fpseCE working, every rom i load just exits the program...

First of all it might just be the version of fpsece you're using. I had some issues with that myself for a bit. Make sure you're using fpsece 0.10. You can get that here.
http://perso.numericable.fr/schtruck/FpseCE_010.zip
I've also attached my fpse.ini file as well in case it isn't just the version you are using. You are still going to need to edit the keys for your games like I mentioned in my first post to get those properly working.
Just got this thinkpad tablet for a few days. great pad!
But having two issues:
1 BLUETOOTH:
But I cannot use my bluetooth stereo headset with it. there is no way for me to choose where the sound should go to.
I tried skype, but voice came from speaker, also tried to play music, no way to choose listening from the headset.
I used the same headset for my gingerbread htc phone, it works just fine. when i connect it to my phone, i can see a headset icon, but in honeycomb, no.
2 visual keys
I use this tablet to make notes. pen and screen are the best I have ever used.
but in Honeycomb, those visual keys (home, back, browser button) are very annoying. Palm rejection function works great in writing area, but it will still be very easy hitting those button accidentally by my palm.
Is there any way to move the control bar to the top or how to turn on full screen ?
Any ideas?
Thanks for helping!

There's plenty of other options on market (only works on honeycomb, ICS requires some hefty hacking to make the virtual buttons disappear).

Honeybar will hide the bottom bar. You need to have root permission.
thanks guys
So far I haven't figured this out, but I have the Amazon AppStore in without a hitch, that's fine.
Loads up, get the main screen and have some placement issues with my TV and the OUYA,
again not the issue.
How the heck do I get the Android menu(s) up on this or anything? I have a ton of Apps in
my 'Cloud Storage' bit, but I can't trigger any of the 3-4 (normally) lower menu options like
Backup, Home, Tabs, Dots, etc. so I can't pull up the normal menu on the AppStore to get
to MyApps.
Are there shortcuts for these missing 'keys' from smartphones/tabs I missed?
I ask as not only do I need it here, but a couple of things I've loaded up successfully get
stuck on responses for those specific keys and I can't go further, even though the App
isn't really locked up nor the console.
Press the U button in the middle once. It's same as settings button you normally find on the phone. This goes for many apps including emulators etc.
Pressing it twice is the same as pressing "Home" on a phone.

WOW. OK, I feel like an ass. I swear I tried every button and combination, I must've hit it
stuttered or something because it always jumped out to HOME instead of that popping up!
One click, there it was... Also have to try it on Collapse and a couple others to see if that
brings up things so I can click/continue where needed.
So:
One Click on the OUYA button - Settings
Two Clicks - HOME
Red Button - Reverse/Back
And since the 3 dots was optional on many handsets and tablets presumably nothing mapped?
Thanks for the help and the swift kick up the hiney!
