Bypass J7 Pro (2017) Password Without Data Loss? - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

Hello. I need some help on how to bypass phone password without data loss on my father's J7 Pro (2017). Please guide me.
My Father passed away last August 2020, and would've wanted us to fix and retrieve the data from his phone. It is a long story, and I want to be concise. Can anyone guide me how to bypass the phone's password without data loss? His photos and memories are there, and we want to back them up, we can't do that due to the password blocking us to. He wasn't able to tell us the password, we never asked since we never had time for that as he was ill back then. Can anyone tell me a way how to bypass the phone password without data loss, freely? With no charges....
Phone's Info:
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro (2017)
SM-J730F/DS
Android 7.x.x or Nougat
Screen Lock Type: Password
Clue: 4 Characters and at least 1 letter
TY!!!!

Do you encrypt your Micro SDCard?

I encrypt my external Micro SDCard, simply because in the event I loose my phone, all my photo's and notes are encrypted and not visible to a potential thief... even if my photo's are not sensitive I don't want some maggot scrolling through each one checking them out... it can be a trade off though with having to use the following:
Enabling encryption requires you to use a password lock screen (not swipe, face, pattern or PIN) - it has to be 8 characters including one number
This means that if you're frequently turning the screen on, or have a very short screen timeout, you're going to be constantly having to input the password
If you connect the phone to a computer via USB, the MTP connection won't work until you input the password on the phone
If you remove the SDCard from the phone and put it in an adapter connected to a PC, it seems like it's not recognized at all
I don't enable encryption on my phone though, simply because I use Cerberus to track and remotely lock/erase if need be. It gives me more satisfaction tracing a thief and being in a position to have them arrested than to lock them out of the phone completely... since phone encryption requires a boot-up password before Cerberus can trace.
Never had encryption, sim pin, unlock pin etc.

Damn thats some serious donations you have been sending over to XDA! I'm still waiting for another 4 stars, they are slow!
Back on topic.... I also use SIM PIN Lock to stop maggots from using my phone and cranking my bill through the roof. I hardly reboot my phone so its no biggie for me, plus it offers a nice layer of security.
What formatting is using your external sdcard?
do you know if Exfat is supported?
I want to encrypt my external sdcard, but i need files bigger than 4 GB
*bumping thread*
I need to know a secure approach to encrypt my SD-card using an Samsung SiV i9505 with Android 6.0.1, more specifically using "Optimized Cyanogenmod 13" latest version (2016-11-05) by JDCTeam.
I've tried playin' around a bit with Cryptonite but not with any success :/ (maybe this is outdated?). I've of course googled (no, duckduck.go'ed, another q why) but have'nt found any good guide to this.
I'm no master at Android, but I'm no newbie either, thou have'nt used 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) much!
Please give me an "pretty easy" guide or a hint for a good and secure app, or method, to successfully encrypt my SD-card with a strong encryption like Serpent, AES, etc!
My device is;
Samsung Galaxy SiV i9505 Intl. (jflte) I9505XXUEMKF
Kernel: 3.4.112-B--B-PWR-CORE-AOSP-v1.4
OptimizedCM-13.0-20161105-Stable6
Ver: M4B30X
(can provide more specific logs if needed, give info how)
Best & humble regards,

My s7 edge has been wiped remotely by someone

Dear all.
I am using samsung galaxy s7 edge. Earlier, i sent my phone to official samsung services center to claim for warranty repair. They have changed my motherboard due to faulty.
Recently. My phone was wiped remotely. I was wondering how possible my phone was wiped.
I check my gmail login sessions. There was no unusual login.
Is it possible that my samsung acccount been hack ? I did not share to anyone on my samsung account.
Is it possible that samsung staff can gain access to wipe my phone remotely ? (I have did a full wiped before sending for repair)
Is it possible to wiped my phone via imei or series number of the phone?
Guys. I need help from your advice. I lost all my data on the phone.

I can assume it could be a bug in the firmware.
I don't know if someone can wipe your phone remotely.. and I wonder why should be.

that's what I am thinking also.
And I also wonder the possibility of why someone want to wipe my phone .
If you're suspicious change Samsung account password
If you are using an exchange mail account, then check the server settings with your admin. Same happened to me before.

Do you have a unlock PIN and the wipe option turned on? Screen got activated on my old S6E. This meant the phone thought I was trying to incorrectly unlock and wiped itself after X attempts.

Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G531H Owner passed away!

My friend has recently passed away. He owned a Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G531H. The family wants to recover the pictures and contacts from the phone but the phone is password locked, with stock recovery and the download mode is FRP locked and last but not the least wifi and 3g is turned off. Please kindly suggest solutions. Thanks!
Sorry for your friend. My deepest condolences. :'(
I don't know any solution for that. Sorry
If he by some chance had ADB enabled, you could probably find a computer that he authorized and use that. You can probably check by running 'adb devices', pretty sure it will show the device but obviously you wouldn't be able to interface with it. From there on you just need to find a computer he's authorized prior.
Side note: Unfortunately, ADB isn't supported in recovery mode on samsungs, so you can't rip the photos(and/or break password) using that.
To gain internet access you *might* be able to use a OTG ethernet adpater. I've never used one, I don't know if this device supports it, and I don't know if you can just plug it in without any user input. But I think this option is worth looking into. Then you can reset the password from his google account or something
That's all I have for now, hopefully you can them photos

Resetting a tablet for a foreign friend's family member. FRP locked. android 8.1.0

I have a former coworker who is foreign, who has me help him with tech stuff among other things. Today he asked me to fix his sister's tablet, a Galaxy Tab A (sm-t580) which wasn't functioning correctly.
understandably, the tablet had its language set for their native language and due to the issues it was having we could not get the language changed so i could work on the tablet properly. The next best course of action was to reset the tablet. so I did.
now comes the issue: my friend and his family primarily use iOS devices, bought the tablet used and never set up their own google account on the device.
So it is FRP locked and nobody knows the necessary account info.
At first I told him that the tablet was useless now, but after a little digging saw that this was something i might be able to get around and fix for him.
Digging further, all I found was conflicting or missing instructions on how to properly do this........
A boot into recovery mode reveals that the current firmware on the device is T580UEU4CSC1
this means that the device has android 8.1 on it and the information i could gather seems to indicated that FRP bypass is more difficult on android 7 and later, but that is where the info seems to dry up. I couldn't find anything specific on what exactly i need to do to get it working again, or whether specific firmware/files needs to be used on this device.
Would really appreciate any info or direction you could provide on this. Thanks.
It has become super hard to bypass FRP on Samsung devices (Not even Combonation files work anymore), If you can prove that you purchased it you can send it back to Samsung and they can unlock it. You're only other option is buying a Octoplus/Jtag/Riff box and using the FRP unlock option on the PC software.

Hello, my daughter has forgotten the screen unlock code on her Huawei P Smart. I want to bypass the screen lock without losing data because the cell phone contains all my daughter's school documents and pictures for her project work. Tried a lot with dr.fone software and others but need a solution so I can unlock the screen and keep data without USB debugging because it can't be activated. Would be very grateful if someone has an idea Thanks

Hi, Did you ever get the phone unlocked and the data recovered? I have a similar problem with my daughters Y7P and I can't seem to find a solution that keeps the data and openes the phone.
