I've been searching "how to root Samsung j5 prime" all over the internet and here in xda forum, but couldn't find anything helpful. Can anyone guide me to the correct resource?
Install TWRP first. Follow the installation instructions in the post.
Then just flash Magisk in your newly installed recovery.
That's all there is to it.

Hello,
I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I needed help with rooting my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530W (Version 5.1.1) so I can use my SD card as internal memory. I tried following some YouTube tutorials and blogs which used CF-Auto Root with Odin, every time I tried it kept failing. I tried this with different version of Odin and CF-Auto root from different sources, still no luck. I'm really new to this rooting stuff and if anyone out there can guide me a bit on how I can root my device it will be much appreciated. Thanks so much.
Hello everyone
Just got a A530f, anyone succeded to root or boot / flash custom recovery on it ?
I haven't try anything so far tbh (never had a samsung and never tried odin, but i guess they're tutorial everywhere) but I'm not sure if there is a TWRP image compatible yet, is there a chance an image for a5 2017 or something else will work ?
i also wait...

Wow ok thanks, that forum is quite hidden tbh, doesn't show up if you look up for "a8 2018" in xda search (at least on the first page)
I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) DuoS, which I would like to Root, but there are so many guides that I have seen and kind of browsed through that I just don't know which Guide to follow. I'm kinda stuck. I basically only need Root access to use the Roehsoft Ram Expander App for which I specifically bought an SD Card for. But the most posts I have seen or for the J7 Pro which is a different version than I have, can someone help me by guiding me to the correct guide to follow? Thank you in Advance
Found a guide saying you can root by installing Magisk with stock Recovery through Odin, did this and everything seemed to be working correctly until the phone restarted and said that the verification failed. And this is only my phone also have a tablet that I still need to do (SM-T580) Really hope someone can help me?

Hi, this is my first thread and it's just to get an answer, so the question is:
I have a Samsung j5 2015 (j500fn), but i installed a Rom (Serenity v5.6) based on the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016, and since the first day it's running perfectly Android 7.1.1, just a few lag openning some programs but nothing worrying, and i don't know if i have root in this rom, when i open CPU-Z it apears "Root Access: Yes" but i don't have even SuperSu or something like that.
When i openned SuperSu installed from PlayStore, it shows me a message (SU Binary occupied).
Previously in the Official Rom (6.0.1) i was using SuperSu, i still have TWRP recorery.
So i want to know if to root i need the j500fn supersu files or the j510fn ones.
Thanks in advance.

The Off Topic section is not the better place to find some help, you may post your query in the Galaxy A40 Questions&Answers
You may search and follow the proper steps in the Galaxy A40 Forums, to, firstly, unlock bootloader, and then safely you could install TWRP onto your device
