Hey, I have been using the LG V35 korean version(SK Telecom) for about 2 months now and I just realized that the microphone is not picking up to the point that those on the receiving end cannot even hear anything that I said when I called using phone line. But, it works fine when using whatsapp/telegram call or virtually any other calling apps.
Does anyone ever faced the same thing here? And is there any solution for this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi guys,
First of all, I'm a GSM user running the latest OTA stock ROM and Baseband.
So I've been making more calls lately, and I keep getting complaints from people saying my voice is unclear and breaking up on them. I decided to do some experimenting, and have come to the conclusion that it is not my SIM, phone's mic, ROM, or the other person's problem.
I've noticed, when calling from my Razr M to another phone (let's call it Phone2), if I set Phone2 to mute, then my voice is heard perfectly fine on Phone2. If it's not muted, then Phone2 can barely hear what I am saying from my Razr M. The whole time, anything the person says into Phone2 is heard crystal-clear on my Razr M
I know it's not my SIM card is because I just went to the AT&T store today and replaced it
I know it's not the mic is because if I use GrooVe IP to place the call via VoIP, everything is heard fine on both ends
I know it's not the other person is because I've had at least 4 different people tell me they can barely hear me on their phones, and I've tested it myself by calling the other phones in my AT&T family plan, and my landline, and the issue still occurs.
I found that changing
Code:
persist.audio.mic=digital
to "analog" instead, helps a little because it makes the voice louder, but it doesn't help with the audio breaking up.
Reverting back to the older baseband (the one that is included in Matt's Utility 1.20) doesn't make a difference.
Does anyone else have similar experiences? Ideas for me to try? I'm especially curious to hear from other GSM users.
I am a VZW G2 owner and my G2 was upgraded to VoLTE in August. Since then, I have made calls where the person I am calling cannot hear me - not that the audio level is low - it's that there is no audio whatsoever. There are certain phone numbers that are affected, others work fine. I've been through the troubleshooting process with 3 different Tier 2 VZW Techs. The only thing that addresses this issue is to turn VoLTE off.
Anyone else have this or hear about this issue?
hi everyone,
For the past 2.5 years I have owned an HTC one M7 and I was very happy with it except the poor camera which died after like 1 year!
anyhow, with that phone I had no issues whatsoever and I am still using it.
Last month, I decided to buy the nexus 6p. Since owning this piece of art I have been happy. However, there is a serious issue with it and I believe it is a software bug. In my home, the signal is not that great. when somebody calls me and I answer the call he/she CAN hear me while I CANNOT hear him/her! within the call, if I turn the WIFI off while the data is on then I will be able to hear him/her without disconnecting the call. My brother has the same phone and he faces the same issue. The weird thing is that my friend who is owning OnePlus 2 has exactly the same issue!
1. Do you have any solution to this issue?
2. How to communicate this with Google?
Thank you.

If you bought it from the Google store go back to the website and hit them up for help. When you submit your issue they'll call you failry quickly and if that doesn't work (cause you can't hear them etc) they will follow up with an email with the 855 number to call for support. Don't wait for the warranty to expire, do it now.
Do you have WiFi calling enabled?

I second this. If you bought it from the Play Store Google's support is really good. You should get a new phone the next day, or within a few days.
Thank you all.
- I have bought it from local store and I believe it is an authorized reseller. Google Store is not available in my country.
- Wifi Calling is not enabled.

Are you sure the phone supports the bands offered in your country?
Have you tried factory reset?
It sounds software related to me. Since returning it isn't really an option you might try rooting the phone and just running either the stock ROM or a custom ROM.

mine is the international version and it is supported. Also, this only happens when the signal is weak. Also, turning wifi off will fix the issue with the call quality.
I do not want to use a custom ROM actually.
Where is the setting for Wifi calling? When I am at home on Wifi I am having the same issue but once I am not on Wifi the phone seems to work great.

Hi guys,
I've been a visitor of the forums over many years now. Learned quite a bit reading all these great posts.
I'm constantly changing phones but always return to Samsung. Now I'm moving from the Note 5 to the S7E.
I just picked up the S7E today and I'm very impressed. Phone looks great and is very fast. A couple of hours playing with the phone I noticed a big problem. I'm unable to make calls when my phone is connected to LTE. When I attempt to call someone it doesn't drop to 3G to place the call. Also my Internet stops working. I can't force 3G/2G and my only option is to reboot the phone. Once I reboot, I'm able to force 3G/2G and I'm able to make calls and Internet works before and after calls. But in this mode I'm stuck without LTE.
Do you think this is faulty hardware? Or should a software update fix this?
Many thanks to XDA community!
Who is your carrier and which exact variant (SM-G935T, ...935V, etc.) of the device do you have?
Are you in the U.S. or somewhere else?
If this is a carrier-specific device being used on its intended carrier's network, then this problem is something their support people could (and should) be able to help you with.
There aren't enough specifics in your post for anyone to have a reasonable shot at helping with this issue.
Also, I just noticed you posted in the general discussion forum. This post is really asking for help and would be a better fit for the Q&A forum.

Hi,
I bought the international version (SM-G935F). It does not have any carrier branding.
I bought it in Switzerland and I'm using it in Switzerland with a Swiss carrier.
Mods, please move this thread to the appropriate section if it doesn't belong here.
Thanks!

I also had an S7 Edge with calling issues (dropped every call after a few seconds, possibly trying to switch from 4G to 3G or from 3G to 2G). It turns out it was defective and the replacement works as intended.
Just did a hard reset now.
Was able to make one call. When I tried a second time, same issue. Reboot seems to allow me to make an initial call but then same issue again.
Will take it back tomorrow and hope they have a replacement in stock.
The Feature you are talking about is Voice over LTE! Here in germany this is only anabled in the branded Provider Firmwares like from Vodafone or t-mobile germany. If you have an unbranded Device like i have G635F than VOLTE is not working cause its locked! Not Sure how this works with swiss Providers. In germany VOLTE only is working with Company branded Firmware! And to be honest i am rally worried about that cause i will never use branding Firmwares.
Update: took the s7 edge back to the store and of course the phone worked perfectly. There was nothing they could do as the phone worked fine and we were able to make many test calls.
Phone worked fine during the day but when I got home the problem started again. After some testing, it seems the problem only occurs when connected to 4G+/LTE+/carrier aggregation.
Couldn't place any calls at home this morning but at work where I only get 4G everything works perfectly. Very strange.
In Switzerland I don't think we have VoLTE. When we place calls the phone drops to 3G but for some reason it's not happening when connected to 4G+.
Ill do some more testing today to see if I can find any 4G+ areas near work to test.

Same issue
Hi,
I just got my new S7 Edge (SM-935F) and I think I have the exact same problem. When I'm in the city where I live (Morges, Switzerland), I can't make or receive any call while on 4G but data works. Switching to 2G allows me to make or receive call though.
Then, when in a different city (50km away), everything works as it should be (call and data on 4G). Did a factory reset and it also didn't change a thing.
The guy from my carrier's shop (Sunrise) told me that there was a known issue with 4G calls on the S7 and S7 Edge in different cities (mostly in the canton Valais). I've also been told that Samsung is working on an update to fix it so returning the phone to get a new one would be useless. Did he tell when that would probably be fixed ? Of course not..
I hope someone find a fix soon
Looks like the antenna gate from the iphone 4 but seriously how can something like that still happen
Hi,
Looks like we have exactly the same problem. I work in Geneva but live in Gland. Today I tested my phone in Geneva and it worked perfectly everywhere while in 4G or 4G+. As soon as I arrived home in Gland I'm unable to make calls so I have to force 3G/2G in order to receive and make calls.
By the way I also have sunrise as a carrier.
Good to know that it's a known problem and that they are working on a fix. It's very annoying... Hope they fix it soon!

Same here, there is any fix?. Thanks
I want to know whether there is any Apps for LG V20 used as the phone recoreder for all incoming or outgoing call recording purpose.
I wanted the same thing. It is not available on the phone - by default the recorder will not let you record phone calls. There may be an app that overrides this, but I have not found it.
I am using this app. Work for me in LGV10 AND LGV20

Thank you very much
Brother I have installed your software ACR but it cannot work in my V29 H990N. Have you rooted your phone or you need to set something before it can work correctly.
I use Automatic call recorder with no problems. My wife does too. We came from the N4/N7 and it worked for those devices as well.
