i want a new os on my kindle - Fire HD 8 and HD 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

pretty much I just want fire os off and a new os on, how would i do that? here are some specs below:
Computer: Windows 10
Device: Fire HD8 5th Generation
OS Version: Fire OS 5.6.8.0 Build 626547120
Dev Mode Activations: adb (yes i have the platform manager to sideload a different version of fire os)

I'm in basically the same boat. Bumping this in hopes progress can be made.

Why did Amazon compile for 32-bit instead of 64-bit?

I have a Amazon Fire HD 8 2016 Tablet; after trying to install the Dolphin Emulator which requires a 64-bit OS I found out this tablet was running a 32-bit OS. Does anyone have an idea of why Amazon might have gone for a 32-bit instead of a 64-bit OS? My research seems to show that the underlying hardware supports a 64-bit OS.

It's actually a weirdly compiled 64 bit version, which has 32 bit as properties in build.prop (armv7 vs arm64, or something like that). Kingoroot installs 64 bit 'su', then SuperSu does 32 bit version. The whole thing is a bit of a mess. I was posting some of the posts discussing this in FlashFire thread, and also SuperSu threads. If you try to search for them, you'll find some details.

Strangely enough, this tablet 'can' run 64-bit native libraries.

Do you think it'd be possible to force an install of a 64-bit only application?
@Supersonic27543 Same question I just posted goes to you to.
That one app I wanted to install, dolphin emulator. I get this if I try to install using ADB
Code:
[[email protected] ~]$ cd Desktop/
[[email protected] Desktop]$ adb install '/home/raansu/Desktop/dolphin-master-5.0-6374.apk'
/home/raansu/Desktop/dolphin-master-5....d. 6.1 MB/s (15569990 bytes in 2.434s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/dolphin-master-5.0-6374.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS]
[[email protected] Desktop]$

If you are so eager, set the following in build.prop:
Code:
ro.product.cpu.abilist64=arm64-v8a
Right now abilist64 is empty.
Reboot. If it bootloops, sideload stock Amazon bin, and re-root. If it works, try to install you apk again.
Report back.

I have a Amazon HD 8 6 Gen (I brought it Black Friday 2016) Root doesn't exist for this device after 5.3.2.1 as far as I know. Am I wrong? I already made the jump to 5.6.0.1
Works in Fire 10 HD, Ask Amazon!

so that code line for the prop.build works on fire 10 2018 8th gen?
what about 9th gen 2019 of the fire hd 10?
is there another workaround to install 64bit apps?
Amazon has just compiled a 32-bit version of Android that isn't enough memory to run a 64-bit version of Android. Some 32-bit only apps being dropped in 2021 and aren't compatible with Fire tablets.

Is there a good method of obtaining root on the FireHD8 7th gen on WIndows?

I've been looking all over and all the tutorials are on linux.
Make a live disk for linux. You don't have to install linux. Just boot from a usb to linux. I haven't seen any other method besides using mtk-su if you havent updated...

Wher is USB Debug in Fire 10 (11th Generation)?

I'm trying to use Fire Tools with my all new Kindel Fire 10 (11th Generation).
It was not detected.
I'd like to enable USB Debug, but I don't find neither the Developper Options, nor (somewhere elst) the USB debugging option.
Do the Fire Tools support this kind of Fire HD 10?
Thank you.

How to install a non-android OS on a Kindle Fire 7 HD?

People have installed windows on different android devices. Is it possible to permanently install windows on a Kindle Fire HD? If not, what other operating systems can be installed and how?
I have been interested in this as well, not just on Kindle, but all androids.

Fire OS on echo show

I read in another thread that someone got to use adb sideload but it only accepts zips signed by Amazon. Can you install fire OS that is meant for the fire tablets?
