I'm trying to use Fire Tools with my all new Kindel Fire 10 (11th Generation).
It was not detected.
I'd like to enable USB Debug, but I don't find neither the Developper Options, nor (somewhere elst) the USB debugging option.
Do the Fire Tools support this kind of Fire HD 10?
Thank you.

Getting Started:
Getting the Toolbox up and running with your tablet is surprisingly a very easy procedure. The only thing required is for you to enable Developer Options and ADB on your tablet. So, without further ado, let's get started.
At this point, please read the section below, and make sure to follow the correct guide that is made for your tablet on how to set up the device so it works with the Toolbox.

Hello all Nob here...
Rooted my Fire using jcase's (THANKS jcase) Burrito Root 3, Then installed the Google Svcs., and the Market. Problem is that I can no longer see the Fire when I connect it to the computer (Win 7, 64), The Fire says it's connected and that files can be downloaded but the Fire does not show up in Explorer?
What's up?
check to make sure the drivers are correct. Most issues talking to the KF resolve around driver issues.
I agree, it sounds like a driver issue. Use Windows device manager and uninstall the kindle drivers, then reinstall them. Restart computer. Should be good to go.
Thanks guys...found the driver and all is we'll
Thanks again

I'd like to think that I'm not a totally clueless noob, but I sure feel like one. I've installed homebrew on Wii and stuff like that, but I simply can't get the Kindle Fire Utility to run on a first generation Kindle Fire, 6.3.1.
I have downloaded the utility and installed the drivers, they install correctly and all necessary permissions are allowed. However, when I plug in the Kindle, the computer beeps like a USB device has been added, but it doesn't recognize the Kindle and the Kindle Fire Utility opens, but doesn't run to the point where I get a menu.
I can use system restore to roll back the driver installation and then the Kindle is recognized. I've tried running Kindle Fire Utility to get boot menu, then installing the drivers, but that leaves me hanging at "waiting for device"
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
I have a Toshiba Satellite L755 running Windows 7.
Thanks!
I have two identical Fire HD 10 9th generation. One works seamlessly using the Fire Toolbox. The other gets a message that the device is not authorized. All the settings on both tablets are identical, USB debugging is engaged. The second tablet is identified in the Fire Toolbox (RSK key), but it always asks me to authorize my device. It tells me to unlock my device and that a window should appear with the computer's RSK key and then to tap the box that says "Always allow from this computer". However, no such window ever appears. I have reset the second table to factory default, made all of the appropriate settings (Developer Options - USB Debugging), but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can use another USB-C cable or USB port on your PC.
If you're PC running Windows 7 or 8.1 that causes a driver fails. Try it to upgrade your PC to Windows 10.
I appreciate your work DataStream, thanks for saving me from constantly updating my own scripts and batch files.
One question please:
Does anyone have a method to permanently disable Wi-Fi?
I know it sounds strange to want a Tablet to not have connectivity, but I have a very specific need to do so. I found I could Root the Tablet and run uFirewall to kill Wi-Fi, but the end user can just undue the setting. I am trying to just disable the Wi-Fi and defeat the Toggle Switch. I would prefer not to Root as I have a decent quantity to configure identically. I wouldn't mind preforming Factory Resets if required to re-enable Wi-Fi if ever needed.
Wondering if anybody knows if the Fire Toolbox 16 will work with the new Fire HD 10 plus (2021).

The new version 17 will. Go to the OP in the thread and download it.
Wheres the direct link to download the toolbox since I need to install Google play on my amazon fire 8 please?
removed post and added to the Toolbox thread
Where is the download link for the toolbox?
Bought the new fire 7 and updated my Fire Toolbox (v28.3) but when I connect my tablet and run the toolbox, it comes up with a message of "Failed to obtain the tablets generation info. Exiting!". Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
I'm having the same problem with Kindle Fire HD 3rd Gen, Fire OS 4.5.5.2. I'm using Fire Toolbox 28.9. Using V25.2 portable I get the error "AMAZON SOHO isn't compatible with the Toolbox. Please plug in a supported Fire Tablet."
Just checked compatibility, looks like I need 4th gen tablet for this to work. Mine is 3rd.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. When I open Fire Toolbox with my Fire 7 12th gen plugged in & the tab in USB debugging the toolbox wont open & I get an error of
"Daemon not running; starting now at tcp:5037"
"Failed to start Daemon"
"Abd.exe: cannot connect to daemon"
I assume it is because the only step I cannot do on the guide is the first step of unchecking the box? Meaning this only works on new tabs not ones already used?
Thank You.
world of pain with debugging - this is how I got mine working..
