One Plus 6T as video player for 65" HDR10+ TV - Android TV General

Do you know if you could customize the One Plus 6T with a dongle and usb remote for use as an Android TV box to install a different OS on it for that purpose?

[Q] Sony remote pair

My Nexus Player somehow linked up to my Sony TV remote. Any idea how this happened? My Nexus Player remote unpairs constantly and I think that is the reason why.
Actually I fought a lot with my LG to get the tv's remote to pair with nexus, so my case was the other way around. It seems that in order to use the tv remote with the player I had to enable HDMI-CEC on my TV. This HDMI-CEC has different names on different tvs. For LG is Simplink, for Sony I believe it's Bravia Sync. If you disable this, I think the remote will not pair. However, there is a chance the the TV will not switch to Player input when casting a video. I have them both paired (nexus player remote and tv remote) and I have no problems.

Recommended 4k or 2560x1440 monitor/TV I can mirrorlink my phone to easily

I know not all smart TVs have this option. Do I need to get a Samsung Smart TV? Right now I have a 55" 1080p samsung smart Tv but if I mirrorlink it the sides don't show because something from the QHD to 1080p conversion doesn't work right.
I have an old non smart TV (1920x1200) with an Amazon Firestick and Mirrorlink sees the firestick and I can mirrorlink through the firestick but it also doesn't show everything from my Tmobile Note 4 running Rapture ROM to the TV.
I'm looking for a TV or computer screen that will do a perfect mirrorlink from my note 4. I'd prefer a 4k that is known working with the note 4 as my next laptop will be 4k and I will use the tv/monitor as a 2nd monitor also.
Thanks
Does the rom have the build.prop edit to make mirrorlink work? Its to disable hdcp im pretty sure you can add it yourself

4k video output

Hi, i want from my s7 edge the easiest thing, which can do smartphones for many years and i cannot realize, how to do it now. I want to connect my phone to my 4k display from computer or any 4k display without the smart technologies and play the movie or show photos.
Whats the easiest way to do it?
Probably Chromecast Ultra. $70.
Apparently the S7E does not support MHL, so the only way to do it is wirelessly. Either through a wireless capable TV or adding a device to your tv such as the cromecast previously suggested or maybe Amazon Fire stick.

How to use Samsung Wireless DeX with Android TV and Philips TV

Hello,
I am really disappointed of that I can't use samsung DeX with Android tv, but only with miracast? Is there any chance to use Wireless DeX from my S20 Ultra to my Philips TV with Android and build in Chromecast?
With chromwcast, no. A cheap alternative though is to get a Roku . They're under 40$ and will support wireless Dex. Tested last night w/ a Roku premiere and worked flawlessly.

But is it using Miracast tho? Probably not using Chromecast protocol.
My Samsung tv has built in Chromecast but it uses Miracast for dex
Don't you have an option for screen mirroring on your TV? It's working great with my Android TV from Sony.
Try this?
1. Press the Menu on your remote.
2. Cursor right to Wireless Screencasting and press the OK button to select.

Looking for android tv remote that will work with volume on a smart hisense tv?

Alright so I got a smart hisense android tv but I don't use the smart part of it because it's got terrible hardware but I got a good deal on the TV. Anyway I have a good android tv box that I have plugged into the tv and I use it for everything. The remote the android tv box came with works with the hisense tv for volume but I'm looking for an alternate remote that includes a keyboard and air mouse functions. I've tried [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XMF5YN1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) and I can't get this to copy the hisense tv IR signal for volume, I found 2 different guides that supposedly work on this remote to copy signals for buttons and it just doesnt work.
Like the title states I'm looking for a remote for android tv boxes and it need air mouse and it has to work with a smart tv volume. I did verify the smart hisense tv is controlled by an ir blaster on the front
