I'm running a version of CM for my TPT (http://forum.xda-developers.com/thinkpad-tablet) which gives me Android 4.1.2 (I think). Now, I have the source code, and the instructions, for compiling Omni for my Samsung S3. However - can Omni be compiled for the Thinkpad Tablet? What information about TPT hardware do I have to feed to the source code, or to the compiler?
Or is this just not possible?
Thanks!

CM 11 KK & 5.0 ??
How can KK be 5.0 ? Its a typo right ?
sorry.. cut and paste error
I haven’t install any custom kernels yet, I’m using the stock kernel. However since December 15, 2017 the Unlegacy-Android team rolled out an experimental AOSP 8.0 for grouper, I wasn’t able to test out because it was stuck in a boot loop, which bootanimation stays forever, and I haven’t seen any further updates anymore from the Unleagcy-Android team. Hoping badly for more updates.
Side note: I’ve tried either Gapps not installed and installed.:crying:
My Device:
Device Name : Nexus 7 (2012) WiFi
Device Codename : Grouper
Kernel : Stock
OS : Slim7 (Android 7.1.2)
Recovery : TWRP 3.2.1.0
Components Changed : No
Rooted : Yes
Boot loader : Unlocked
SD Card : No
I hope this would help. Looking Forward to the Unlegacy-Android team.
I notice they have an 8.1 ROM too. worth trying that one?
thanks for the heads up, I've been waiting to see if anyone would release an Oreo build
Those builds shouldn't be public as they are working on it
Hi
I'm using a Fire HD 8 with Fully Kiosk Browser as a home automation control panel and it works great. Its rooted and I'm using Lineage 16, which is super.
I've just bought a Fire HD 10 2017 on Fire OS 5.6.6.0 and plan to use it for the same purpose. Fully Kiosk runs ok on Fire OS, but is better with original android. I'm considering rooting the HD 10, but there aren't as many ROM options and in general, it seems like less development or interest in the HD 10 compared to the HD 8. The most recent lineage build with working camera (necessary for fully kiosk motion detection) is Lineage 12.
Does anyone have any advice on the topic? Am I better with an older original Android installation or a newer Fire OS and try to debloat as much as I can?
Thanks

I'm new to this forum, Can you please tell me
1.) Does i9195 roms, recovery, kernals compatible with i9195i variant ?
2.) What's the most stable + battery optimized rom for i9195i
3.) Why there're 2 sections called S4 mini Original Android Development & S4 Mini Android Development

hey, welcome to the forums!
1. No they aren't, as the i9195 variant uses a Qualcomm MSM8916 (sd400 32b) chipset, which is completely different from the MSM8930AB (sd410 64b) used in i9195i
2. I don't have the "i" variant (i use i9195), but I think it is the lineageOS 16 android 9 rom. You could test other systems from @mernurisha, he is a skilled guy that does i9195i ROMs.
3. Well, I really don't know, but probably the "original" one is for the actual devs to post (correct me if I'm wrong)
You really should ask that @Badger50 .
Wish u a nice stay here, enjoy!
Hi, @applesucksLmao
Are you aware about the /e/degogoled OS ?
/e/OS Project
/e/OS is a free and open source smartphone operating system. It is forked from Android, and comes with associated cloud services. The OS is developed by e.foundation and currently supports 250 different devices, mostly smartphones and tablets. /e/OS is fully de-Googled and does not use...
forum.xda-developers.com
for those devices, official is still on nougat
with OTA updates, android security bulletins back ported from oreo
serrano3gxx ( i9190 ) international 3G
serranodsdd ( i9192 ) international Dual SIM 3g/2g
serranoltexx ( i9195, i9195L, i9195T, i9195X, i9197, SGH-i257M, SHV-E370K ) international LTE
I personally run unofficial Red Velvet Cake
/ Android-11 / LineageOS 18.1 based
for the international LTE variants
[UNOFFICIAL BUILD] e-0.18-r (Red_velvet_cake/android_11_based) for Galaxy s4mini LTE (serranoltexx) GT-I9195
Thanks to @itsclarence, here come, a first new /e/OS build based on AOSP 11 / LOS 18, with Seedvault enabled. for a pocket-friendly device with a great 4,3"screen the Samsung Galaxy s4mini LTE (2013) "/e/OS red_velvet_cake flavor" build from the Community : <details><summary>see...
community.e.foundation
there are also some 2020 upgrade test,
community builds from official sources
serranoltexx (International LTE) Pie ( fully working ) and Q ( workaround )
serranovelte (international LTE Value Edition) Pie ( workaround )
Alright sorry! I'm adding it and a couple more OSses, but the only problem is that i can't add stuff out of xda as a mod said to me
Negative Ghost Rider! Please keep all XDA traffic on XDA on don't link to outside sources. Thank you.

What's performance like with the more modern versions of Android? With 1.5G of ram, I wouldn't expect anything past 4.4 KitKat to perform well. Am I mistaken?
