I'm running a version of CM for my TPT (http://forum.xda-developers.com/thinkpad-tablet) which gives me Android 4.1.2 (I think). Now, I have the source code, and the instructions, for compiling Omni for my Samsung S3. However - can Omni be compiled for the Thinkpad Tablet? What information about TPT hardware do I have to feed to the source code, or to the compiler?
Or is this just not possible?
Thanks!

Hi to all,
I have been testing ROMs for the Redmi 2 Pro, a device I acquired recently and there is one ROM nobody has built: Paranoid Android.
So, this is a request to compile Paranoid Android for the Redmi 2 and, if there are no intentions to do it, is there a reliable source/help on how to build Paranoid Android? The only source I have found is here @xda, but the guide is for Paranoid Android 3.x and I considered it too old to start something.
PS: I'm experienced using Linux (+10 years), right now I am dual booting Debian Sid / Linux Mint 18 which must be fully-compatible with Ubuntu 16.04, I have compiled kernels for my personal computers but not for an android device.
Hi everybody,
I am new to this forum, so I introduce myself a bit:
I am the owner of a Samsung Galaxy J5 (2015) J500F, bought in India.
running Android 6.0.1 from last official update.
I am a long time linux developer, (more than 20 years), but I have not a lot of experience on android dev,
I have already compiled some kernels for my old wiko phone, and test them successfully...
On my Galaxy J5, I already installed TWRP for 6.0.1, and supersu via TWRP to root it..
my Goal , is to port some of Nethunter kernel patches,
mainly android usb hid keyboard patch ( github.com/pelya/android-keyboard-gadget )
and wifi injection patches also.. this is the basic need for a Nehunter port.. with some kernel .config mods also..
There is already a Galaxy A5 port in Nethunter Github, and it should not be too hard to port nethunter to Galaxy J5 I Think..
Sorry for this lengthy introduction,
So my question is....
From which source code do I have to start to compile a stock kernel for android 6.0.1 for Galaxy J5 (J500F) ?
I found the Nick Verse Repository: github.com/DJSteve/kernel_j500fn_djsteve
thereis also: github.com/Galaxy-J5/samsung_j5_kernel-mm.git (kernel for CyanogenMod 13.0 I think)
ans also: github.com/Galaxy-J5/kernel_samsung_j5lte (kernel for CyanogenMod 12.1 I think)
and other ones laying around.. (MSM8916 samsung released ?? )
so from which kernel source code do I have to start, to build an android 6.0.1 stock kernel for a J500F ????
I want to start from an unmodified kernel, then add each patch one by one, test them, to validate each steps...
I hope some one will have some time to help me
I am trying Nethunter on galaxy Note 3.My Original plans were to get a Nexus 5 but due to shortage(Or being Nonexistant in my country)I was finding a same device with identical chipset WiFi card etc and I matched Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with identical hardware. Now I am trying the nethunter on CM 13 with Internal monitor mode support from NEXMON but the only problem is that I am getting a Kernel Panic Which Reboots the device when I enable monitor mode on any script. The kernel requires a patch to fix it.So,I wanted to request Anybody Out there to port the
hammerhead NethunterOS CM 14.1 kernel or the marshmallow Hammerheadmon to hlte Cm or lineage.Or you can Point me in direction to porting kernel but I must mention that I don't have a PC and would have to borrow one which I would've to return very soon.I can provide you with links to both kernel Imgs But I guess you can find it yourself.

Can you port it?
I have the lenovo m10 hd (TBx306f) (mediatek)I want to build lineage os for it. I'm missing the device tree and I've never compiled one. Any tips? Helpful guides?
Hello. As the post suggests, I'm trying to look for the source code for the Onn 100005206, or to see if anyone has gotten LineageOS working on it.
To the best of my knowledge, Digiland, the Walmart/Onn affiliate that manufactures these tablets, has yet to release any kernel source. However, kernel source isn't required for a LineageOS port ROM. Since most of these tablets are Project Treble supported, there are probably existing GSI custom builds that will boot up and run on the Surf 7 (100005206). I am now finishing a custom ROM on a Lenovo Tab3, and the 100005206 will be my next project for a custom ROM once I finish up. I can post my progress here to keep any interested members informed.
