Hello frnds,
I was just plain curious when a well known smartphone manufacturer started using the front camera for more than skype n photos. I wondered that my ICS tab has a front camera, a feature called face unlock which uses face features to unlock the device. So what if this camera and some code can be used to add features to the front camera n make it useful. I was also wondering can this data be utilized in other applications, this will open up then environment. Suppore a scroll, its done through touch n drag, our application can send this data to the foreground app i.e a document reader or a browser. The application can spoof it self as an input device in androids input menu. Thus it can do various things by sending appropriate data to apps. Im currently testing on windows using a webcam n some code to track eyeball n do actions through it. If im succesful enough Ill start coding an android app. But a healthy discussion and your views would be appreciated. So I hope ill see some replies. Tkcre.
many ics devices can be made to support face lock easily I don't have any idea about eye ball tracking
We recently found a vulnerability in the Samsung Galaxy SII and Galaxy Camera which could leak touch events and other sensitive data to any application running on the phone. A video demo is posted at:
In the demo, we show that an application without any permission can read the touch screen coordinates, which can cause serious security problems like password leakage, stealing phone numbers, emails, text messages and even banking account. This vulnerability affects Samsung Galaxy SII(running Android 4.0.3) and Samsung Galaxy Camera(running Android 4.0.3). The problem comes from a wrong configuration file on the Samsung Galaxy SII phones. Specifically, the /dev/input/event* nodes are set to 0666 which are globally accessible by any application. The ueventd.shw-m250k.rc file publically exposes all the input events. This problem does not exist on the original Android OS. It is caused by Samsung’s customization. In our attack, we ran a program that uses Java JNI to read from the /dev/input/event files and print the touch screen events. This vulnerability also leaks the data of compass_sensor, touchkey, gyro_sensor and proximity sensor because all those data is exposed in the /dev/input/event* files.

Hello everybody!
It's about two days that I'm trying to find a good smartwatch for my needs without results.
I would like to buy an independent Android 5.1 smartwatch I can also track my activity with. I saw that most of these products (no. 1 d6, kw88, zeblaze blitz, etc) have hr, altimeter, barometer, gyroscope and other useful sensor but they have a dummy app that checks heart rate only when you ask for it and a pedometer (I don't understand if it works continuously or only when you open the app).
Do you know if one of them does support other apps with whom I could monitor my daily steps (without keeping an app opened on the screen) but also run, bike, and maybe gym exercises?
Thank you and sorry for my bad English.
Any suggestions? I'm not sure but I think I read something about some smartwatch that could support usage of sensors by fitness apps as Google fit...

Google Fit works on the watch as does other exercise recording apps such as Wahoo Fitness. GPS works OK, heart rate does not work with any 3rd part apps as far as I can tell. So I use a BLE heart rate strap paired to the watch.
I just picked up a Samsung Gear Fit 2 while it was on sale to give the Android smart watch experience a try! I was able to download the Samsung Gear app from the Play Store, but unfortunately, I get an error when I try to open the app that says:
Notice
The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app. Check your operating system and try again.
After searching online for some fixes, some people seemed to have varying levels of success with modifying the build.prop file? A lot of people still had issues then connecting with the Gear device, or with things like the IR blaster being disabled when the manufacturer was changed in the build.prop file.
I'm currently using the MIUI 8 ROM.
Has anyone had success with getting the Samsung Gear app to work with a custom ROM? And if so, what was the fix?
hello,
I removed all the bloatware through ADB except Android auto, decoPic, galaxy store, ar doodle, ar zone, one ui, samsung cloud, tags and swiftkey.
Can any1 pls share the commands to remove the above apps.
What is the use of ANT services ? is it useful?
Thanks
ANT(+) is for connecting fitness sensors such as a heart rate strap, power meter, speed sensor etc for cycling and running. A lot of phones, Apple especially, don't even have this feature at all.

ANT is never active unless a device is present that uses it.
A package blocker is more useful.
Karma Firewall* will stop on wasteful Google, Android, Samsung, 3rd party apk constant polling.
Google Play Services, 4 times each minute... for what?
Android Services 2x @minute.
Goggle Backup Transport and Backup Framework are major offenders as well even with screen off.
Disabling them in settings doesn't stopped them on my 10+ running on Pie, you may be luckier on your load.
*VNP freeware firewall, no ads, extremely low battery/resource usage. Logging ability may be limited by Q... of course.
Thanks for the suggestions, Can you update of removing Android auto, decoPic, galaxy store and swiftkey.
