Hello,
I have a question about swap ram. Oneplus 8 Pro used swap ram, if used gówno can off this option?

Anyone else having 50% + of Ram being used on startup, even though the phone is very aggressive on memory management (which is also annoying)?
More ram more ram usage...that's normal otherwise why you have to have it!!!

Why would the system need a 3gb of ram? I know 6gb is great and I'm never short on ram (never passed 4gb usage)
Like OnePlus 5
is the 8GB version = 4GB + 4GB of RAM ? or Single 8GB ?
and 6GB version, is it 2GB + 4GB ? or single 6GB ?
the qualcomm 835 page does not tell any useful-related info to this question
neither OnePlus 5 specs page
they only show:
Memory Speed
1866MHz
Memory Type
Dual-Channel
LPDDR4x
I don't understand your question... it has 6GB or 8GB of RAM, what difference does it make if it's two 4GB chips or 8GB (or four 2GB chips), or a 2GB and 4GB or a single 6GB chip (or three 2GB chips)? If you are referring to the "dual-channel" thing, then you should look into what that technology is, but it could easily be implemented in a single chip if it was specifically designed for that. Mobiles rarely use "off the shelf" components and are chips are often specifically designed for applications as needed.
This is pretty much off topic for this area anyway, probably more appropriate to ask in the OnePlus 5 group.
If I get the 5G plus with 64 GB of storage, and install a custom rom. Will I loose the additonal storage or keep it.. I'm thinking on getting the one with the 64 GB internal storage and the 4GB ram. Thanks
custom roms are generally smaller than stock roms, so you will have extra space if you completely remove the stock rom
Personally, I was less concerned about the storage (especially because we have a microSD slot!) and more concerned about 2 GB vs 4 GB RAM. Ultimately, the 2 extra GB of RAM is what made me get the 64 GB version, and I would say that the additional RAM is without a doubt worth it and noticeable coming from a 2 GB LG G Flex 2.
Well finally got my phone. Picked it up at Fry's electronics for $199. It's the 64gb version. Once I play with it a few days, I will have it rooted. One thing I notice no volte with stock. Or is it Sprint controlling it, once it was activated on their network.

In Europe we have a 32GB\3GB ram with adaptive memory.
It's not that bad with a Samsung PRO micro SD since you have three slots, two for nano sim and one for micro SD.
So strange lenovo sell a 2gb version...
I have decided to buy 4gb ram model is that worthy? or 6gb ram best ? help me...im normal users and i never play games.......only whatsapp n skype n true caller n applock n call recorder n youcam perfect thats it other than i wont or never install any apps........4gb ram is enough fa my use ???? n i never take much photos....... n last thing is asus said next two updates will get support android p n q for this mobile...... after got this updates >? phones runs smoothly ??? with 4gb ram model????
According to how you've described your daily usage, it seems it won't make any difference if you'll use 3GB or 4GB variant.
If you want some extra Gigs of Ram then only go for 6GB otherwise there's no need.
6gb ram variant has better camera department compare than 3 or 4 gb ram varient.
I have a 2013 MacBook Pro 9.2 that came stock with 4GB and I want to push it to 32GB and replace the 250GB disk with a 2TB SSD. Is this possible?
These are both answered for every model at https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup

If it has only one RAM slot, 8GB is probably the limit of what it can use, depending on the CPU microcoding and CPU is being used. If it has 2 RAM slots, 16 GB is probably the limit depending on microcoding and CPU.
You can always try 32 and see if it works, all that can happen is it won't boot, removing a stick would probably allow it to boot.
