[Guide] Existenz Ultra 2.0.0/2.1.5 Bootloop fix (30/03/2014)

I saw that a lot of people like me are facing bootloop while installing Existenz Ultra 2.0 on Locked Bootloader.
So,I've made a fix for you... Tested 100%...
"Existenz 2.0 fix" is not a flashable zip... It contains some files that need to be replaced
from the original "existenz 2.0" ROM zip by niaboc79.. However,"Existenz 2.1.5 fix" is flashable
Required Tools:
Winrar ( you must do the adding and removing tasks with winrar or this type of software,otherwise
you may face problem)
Files needed:
1. existenz 2 fix by alone_in_dark
2. existenz ultra 2.1.5 fix by alone_in_dark
3. Jb .266 kernel only
Modding Instructions:
1. Make a backup of original "existenz 2.0" rom zip file. (so that,if anything goes wrong..you
don't have to download the main file again)
2. Open the zip file with winrar and delete "META-INF" folder.
3. Delete "bin" and "xbin" folder located in "system" folder. ( Don't delete the whole system folder)
4. Copy those folders from my provided "existenz ultra 2 fix" zip and paste them in original rom zip. (META-INF in
main folder and "bin" and "xbin" under system folder)
5. You are ready to flash the ROM...
6. After installing,don't update from OTA updater... I have provided the "fixed 2.1.5 update" and it is a flashable zip

Flashing Instruction:
1. Root your JB 4.1.2 and install a recovery
2. In CWM, Wipe "data","cache" and "dalvik"... No need to mount "system"
3. Flash the "Modified existenz 2.0" rom u have just created (Don't turn off or reboot after flashing)
4. Flash "Updated Super SU" from HERE
5. Turn off the device from CWM
6. Flash "JB 266 kernel only" through flashtool...
7. After booting up,Install THIS CWM
8. Install "existenz 2.1.5 update fix" provided
9. Enjoy.... and don't forget to press the thanks button...

One little problem. My phone is C5302 but currently everywhere i see C5303(about phone, OTA option, also LTE under Network Mode).
How can i fix this? Flashing baseband, reflash ROM or anyhting similar?

Nope bro...!! It can't be fixed because most of the roms available on xda are based on C5303 LTE... It won't create any problem...!! Mine is also C5302...

Look in the build.prop and change from C5303 to c5302

You can fix that by the method @joke19 gave, but remember, OTA updater only recognizes C5303 so you won't get the updates unless you change back your device's ID to C5303 in build.prop.

When flashing my smartphone I get an error (S_DA_EMMC_FLASH_NOT_FOUND)

Can I copy the scatter.txt from RC5 to whichever ROM i want as long as it is for the same phone? Basically I have the RC5 but I experienced that the battery is horrible so I wanted to try a different newer OS. Somehow there is an error installing via TWRP the other roms I have in zip but flashtool works fine. These files do not have a scatter-file though.

I will thank for the instruction, because I breaked my phone while trying to flash madOS 8.1.0 (update from april). Before my Jiayu S3 basic (16 GB, 2 GB) worked fine with madOS 8.1 from 2017-12-30. I surely made a big mistake, therefore the phone was dead - no reaction any more.
I found this solution to flash back the stock rom 5.1.1 with twrp. Phone is alive and works.
I think, I have done a big mistake, because all trials to flash madOS 8.1 from april ended with boot into TWRP. I tried flashing to madOS for a long time, isn`t possible any more. Maybe also my old phone has a failure.
Therefore I have to thank for Your excellent work. Thanks.

I'm trying to flash my S3Adv. (3GB RAM, Kitkat, TWRP 2.8.4.0) with madOS_8.1.0_s3_h560_20180422.zip, but, the "Zip signature verification failed". Before, the MD5 sum is checked and matches. I also checked the file with "zip -T" on my Linux machine and it reports "OK". When the "Zip file signature verification" is turned off, TWRP reports "error executing updater binary in zip ..." What's going wrong? Anybody here who can help?

Nearby: I wiped system, dalvik, cache and data.
Solution:
- Install Flash Tool
- Flash Android 5.1.1 (RC5_S3_16GB.zip)
- Start 5.1.1 to do a basic configuration
- Boot into TWRP recovery which was included in RC5
- Install twrp_20180417.img
- Boot into TWRP recovery
- Install madOS_8.1.0_s3_h560_20180422.zip
(a full wipe is, may be, necessary, but, I don't know, when the full wipe should be done within my procedure - I did it earlier)

Download the changed HWOTA here
Download the EMUI-5.1 zip
Unpack the EMUI-5.1.zip and the HWOTA on your system
The 4 apps, the emui.zip and the gps.conf please copy to the SD card
Copies the update_data_public.zip and the update_all_hw.zip from the folder hwota / update to the sd-card which are then needed for root.
Please copy the system.img into your fastboot folder
Please make a backup via HW Backup
1. Installs the stock Rome from the HWOTA folder as described in the first thread. After a reboot your phone routs again (please respect before the boot loader to see if the OEM unlocking is switched on)
uses the instructions for root from the first thread.
2. Your mobile has now root, now installs a file manager (I recommend the root explorer) because the next step, the Explorer, the data backup the Google Apps including the playstore do not omit this step.
3. At this point, make the first TWRP backup if there are problems with beta. Make backup without pin, password or fingerprint, important.
4th Starts in TWRP and give the following command a fastboot flash system.img the system is now overwritten with everything Emui 5.1 is. After a reboot you can now the 4 apps you at the very beginning on your ext. Sd-card copied install (file manager, backup, playstore and optional market).
5. now you can make the second backup in the TWRP with me it is Stock-Rom-2
6. The gps.conf with a root Exlorer after root / system / etc copy then the authorization to rw-rr or octal 0604, So it works
7. now you can falshen the emui.zip in the TWRP. Then you have again a bunch of new programs, what you need of it you decide for yourself.
A useful tool I introduce shortly before, It is called children's mode, but could also be called women's mode, why very much in the picture, simply read.
Note: the Android security patch is from May 5, but it will be shown on April 5 because the default is from the build.prop in the vendor directory. If you change something there the developer options no longer so please finger wech of the build.props.
Important, always disable the pin and finger scan before any backup or installation.

If there should be problems with the beta, here is a system.img based on B190 final with security patch May 2017. As usual in the fastboot folder copy and in fastboot mode with fastboot flash system system. Img install.

I am recommend base rom c432b182 work for flash emui 5.1 beta more than c567.
If your base rom is c432b182 ,you canload 1 file (emui 5.1) for flash emui5.1 .
If your base rom on c567b190 ,you must load 2 file (emui 5.1+b190(system.img)).

Strange, I thought all EMUI 5.1 Firmwares were supposed to start with 3**?

I though EMUI 5.1 Beta Firmwares were port from P10.
But base Firmware last update of MATE 9 is B18X-B213.

EMUI 5.1 Full will comming soon next july.

If anybody use S.H.I.E.L.D.-Rom V1.1 or other rom base C432B182 ,you can flash system.img & flash EMUI 5.1 .

my Mate 9 is L29432 , in Firmware Finder have de last update 17-05-03 May , but not authorized , is possible modify region for receive authorization ? or is possible other metod for update ?

During testing when I flashed back to stock b164 I used unmodified Ssu beta 3 for rooting, there is one user in Ssu beta thread who has problems with latest beta on his p10. What kind of modification if I may ask?

huawei should have a cross development forum thread like sony devices, it would be easier to find relevant information, I have to flash back to stock and root with beta 3, I don't remember any problems on my side, he has problems with security(pin code, fingerprint).

Succesfully installed. I have issues with the Gallery.. If I open it it says insufficient storage space....
Also MiXplorer shows what looks like encrypted folders in the Internal Storage section???

So it seems that installing and flashing Huawei devices is quite the hassle.
Issues I currently experience on this ROM:
Cannot open Gplay not opening.
Plugging in usb cable into windows or linux doesn't get recognised.
I will update with more details later today

reformatted /data /system and reinstalled, no more issues!
Rom works fine, as fine as could be expected of a rooted stock rom.

Here is a script for L09 User.
Just install Rom and Data Files from start post and then this zip file.
Its untested because my tester have only L29 devices. But it should work.

Have installed and all is working great. There's only 1 issue that I'm facing. The first time I change my wallpaper on the homescreen, there are many lines that will appear on the wallpaper. Anyone facing this? The lockscreen and app drawer area is fine. Anyone can advice? I would prefer my home screen wallpaper to be clean.

Yeah that was it... Figured it out myself... Realised I missed something somewhere.
So far the Rom is running great!

When I open Magisk Manager and try to install Magisk, I get an error that the zip file could not be extracted.
Any ideas?

Check the MagiskManager Folder. Is there the zip?

HELP: How to Update Firmware and Root on Tanix TX2 / Devices with RK3229?

Hello All,
I'm new here and could not find a similar thread, hence started this one.
My problem started when I was trying to temporarily disable my root for an App that would not run with Root enabled. I used Kingroot (big mistake) on top of the root the box already had preinstalled and it ended up screwing up my preinstalled supersu that came with the box. Now the box is non rooted and I would like to go back to my rooted version, albeit with a new firmware I discovered, so reflashing is not a problem.
I went to the Tanix support page yesterday (Luckily) which seems to be taken down today. I managed to download the latest firmware (7.1) IMG file with a bunch of admin tools.
When I did get the firmware (there was an email with a link) I got very basic instructions. See image:

My question is this, can I used a TWRP style recovery tool to flash this box or do I need to use the Rockchip burning tool as suggested in the instructions.
I am keen to re-root the device as well as upgrade to the new firmware. Does anyone know the arm achitecture root file needed for this? Do I need to also install Google Apps? Can it all be done from TWRP or only the Rockchip tool (Need instructions for that!)?
Any help or video pointing me in the right direction would greatly help. Thanks and lookforward to some good news!

Ok - I figured this out. It is quite simple with the Rockchip tool.
The IMG installs the firmware with the root preinstalled as explained by a user on Freaktab.
Unfortunately, Android 7.1 has stopped my Amazon Prime video from working on the Tanix TX2, so I want to move back to Android 6.
Does anyone have the IMG file for this (Android 6 for RK3229 Tanix TX2)? Is the install procedure the same as the upgrade, i.e. just writing the IMG file with the Rockchip tool? Or do I need to wipe device or do anything special?
I want to do this immediately. Please advise.

Not a problem. On my old mxq android 7 had nav bar I think you needed to enable it in developer options.
