-> remove SD-card, put sim-card into slot 1 and try again or simply completely remove the slider (use wifi for update)

What is the changelog of the update? Is the problem of not receiving calls at 4g solved?

Looks like they've been working on a lot of issues we've been complaining about. Hope they've all been fixed!

5% battery drain in six hours (over night)! Great! Thank you Elephone!!

Mine is root open and I can not update... Receive errors... I removed the SD card and the update. Zip can not be found... Is there a way to disable root open...?

OTA update not working as well. I tried all hints here. In TWRP is a hint that somthing about "block" is missing.
Is somewhere a download availible or something like that?

@ silverovercrash: it worked for me: flashed clean stock P9000_20160419 via flashtools and removed SIM+SD and did update via Wifi-connection.

I don't like to make the whole /setup system new.
I come also from 20160419, has root / superuser.
I removed all cards, boot, inilise OTA update...and in TWRP I gave the message:

I have the same error either... I am rooted and taking off SD card did not help...

update ok but result :
- The signal received in the countryside is still poor, while the P8000 perfectly received.
- Photos are still speckled without flash.
- Navigation bar can't be hidden by a finger gesture on the screen or by clicking the triangle
For me, this update improves nothing.

how to update with TWRP /Root.
or what can i do to get OTA working again.

any download link for the OTA update file? I do have root and TWRP and don´t want to unroot and replace bootloader to original - only to install the OTA update...
Or - where is the file stored on the P9000 folder system when downloaded as OTA? It might be possible to move the file to a different folder and install it using TWRP???... Would be great

Was in the same position.
Tried:
Updating through TWRP -> error unexpected content of the process64 directory (or something similar)
Remove root (through the SU app) -> hung at boot
flash standard boot.img and recovery -> hung at boot
All reversible luckily (twrp -> root method through the update1 and update 2 method).
So.. I ended up just going back to stock and restoring through Titanium.
Then reflashed twrp and rooted again.
This worked for me.
Better WiFi stability and that was the main problem for me.
Read about problems with fingerprint enrolling with the update installed but after complete restore to stock... no problem for me

after a restore to stock, navigation bar is ok and the triangle is appears.
But i confirm :
- The signal received in the countryside is still very very poor and unstable, while the P8000 perfectly received. (perhaps caused by the all metal manufacturing).
- Photos are still speckled without flash. Very bad quality

When I try to install it, it errors and says something about my build.prop being modified of different

b390 available for PLK-L01 (EU).

Hey there, just a heads up for you guys.
If you check on Firmware Finder app, you will find a new firmware available, there's both an OTA incremental update (around 220mb) and the full 1.6gb package.
Personally I went with the latter, forced the update (volume up+down + power on buttton), and the installation went on smoothly and flawlessly.
Now the device is on EMUI 4.0.3, always MM of course, but the security patch is now April 2017
about time!! :good:
anyway the change log was pretty short, basically just a bunch of enhancements to a few apps like mail, calendar... you can find it on Firmware Finder as well.

I have a new function: "Eyesight protection" in the Settings.
Although the schedule doesn't seem to work...
Edit: yesterday evening it has turned on automatically... not sure why, but it's working now

Installation error here on both update and full.

One of promised Nougat features...

One small hint, I cannot update via UPDATE.APP file so i updated it with fastboot with full package and huawei extractor.
Also SuperSU V2.62 doesn't work, but SuperSU v2.79 works, and recovery image is TWP v3.1.0.0.

Well, for me, with update.app, it says that it does install and it goes all the way with "success" but after restart nothing changes, it's still B380.

Download Firmware Finder, click on refresh button and you will get list with updates,download latest, put on sdcard into dload folder and then turn off the phone, press volume + and volume - at the same time and turn on phone, you will get update wizzard and update will start.
And when you download zip, unzip it to have update.app file and other files will be there, all that put in dload on sdcard, if there is no dload folder, make it.

It went for me successfully (B380->B390) but i had to unpack full package and it went from update.app after rebooting with vol up+vol down+power. Same didn't work with update.app from OTA update pack (small one) and also didn't work with update.zip files (it tried but failed).
So, long story short - it worked only with update.app (moved to dload folder on sdcard) taken from full package zip.
And it was not worth waiting and updating as changes are so small that it hurts that it took them 6 months. They could at least enable multi window that is available on Honor 7 in other regions...

yes... I guess the only reason for this update was providing us with the latest security patch... which I'm thankful for.
but this should tell us quite clearly that we don't need to expect much from the future. like we thought, development for this phone is over.

It was all over the moment they couldn't tell us straight in the face that we won't get Nougat/EMUI5. I remember exactly how they (in mails from support) were trying to deal with that... Some said we will get updated, some said we will not. There was also an interview where some official was saying that even if some devices will not get EMUI5 users should not worry as EMUI4 will be still developed and get some features (we got now eye protecting filter which is like u fist in the face - we could get that thing long time ago as there are tons of apps doing same thing). Sure, there was EMUI4.1 (it featured a better organized camera app) but not for us. I agree, it's just a security patch, we have to live with all problems specific to EMUI4.0.x until we get new devices. Hopefully not from Huawei and Honor.

As for eyes comfort - third party apps were killed from memory but that's biggest issue with EMUI and they didn't fixed it so having this feature built in might be useful. However, as someone already stated, you can set on and off hours for the filter but it doesn't work. It works only while being manually switched. What's the point of adding broken feature after 6 months after last update?
As for app twin feature - are you talking about split screen? There never was such option in PLK-L01C432 and they didn't add it with B390 (there was no B382, 386 and 388 for us, just B380 and now B390).

During testing when I flashed back to stock b164 I used unmodified Ssu beta 3 for rooting, there is one user in Ssu beta thread who has problems with latest beta on his p10. What kind of modification if I may ask?

huawei should have a cross development forum thread like sony devices, it would be easier to find relevant information, I have to flash back to stock and root with beta 3, I don't remember any problems on my side, he has problems with security(pin code, fingerprint).

Succesfully installed. I have issues with the Gallery.. If I open it it says insufficient storage space....
Also MiXplorer shows what looks like encrypted folders in the Internal Storage section???

So it seems that installing and flashing Huawei devices is quite the hassle.
Issues I currently experience on this ROM:
Cannot open Gplay not opening.
Plugging in usb cable into windows or linux doesn't get recognised.
I will update with more details later today

reformatted /data /system and reinstalled, no more issues!
Rom works fine, as fine as could be expected of a rooted stock rom.

Have installed and all is working great. There's only 1 issue that I'm facing. The first time I change my wallpaper on the homescreen, there are many lines that will appear on the wallpaper. Anyone facing this? The lockscreen and app drawer area is fine. Anyone can advice? I would prefer my home screen wallpaper to be clean.

Yeah that was it... Figured it out myself... Realised I missed something somewhere.
So far the Rom is running great!

When I open Magisk Manager and try to install Magisk, I get an error that the zip file could not be extracted.
Any ideas?

Check the MagiskManager Folder. Is there the zip?

[GUIDE] Android 9 Pie AOSP phh-treble ROM

The purpose of this thread is to describe treble ROM installation process for Mi Max 3 with specific detail for AOSP phh-treble, for a user to be able to get all required instructions in one place.
What does not work (everything else is supposed to be working):
VoLTE (did not have a chance to verify, reported for other GSI ROMs)
Stock camera does not auto-rotate photos (use third party camera)
Equalizer (MusicFX)
Disclaimer: Everything you do is your own risk. GSI is ARB-agnostic, since it does not contain firmware.
Prerequisites:
Bootloader unlocked
Data backed up (factory reset is required in the process). NB: if you had screen locked while backing up with recovery, this guide to reset the lock may be helpful some day in the future
TWRP 3.2.3 (other recoveries may work as well) installed
Xiaomi.eu Android Pie ROM installed
Note:Xiaomi.eu with Android Pie is required.
Skills required:
TWRP - flash zip files
Archive tool (like ZArchiver, to unpack XZ system image)
Steps:
Choose and download the "arm64-aonly" system image - with or without root and gapps. I used system-arm64-aonly-vanilla-nosu.img.xz from phh-treble releases page
Decompress system image using archiver tool, we need .img to flash
Download opengapps x64 nano or pico for Android Pie (this step is for vanilla system)
Download phh-treble-pie-fixes-minimal.zip for Bluetooth, camera2 and vendor fingerprint (the file is attached to FP)
Make sure your data is backed up
Make sure Xiaomi.eu ROM is already installed, or reinstall using respective instructions
Reboot to recovery
Install - select image type - select phh-treble .img file - select system partition - install
Install - select zip type - select opengapps archive - install (for vanilla image, this is not needed for image with pre-baked gapps)
Install - (make sure /vendor is mounted) select zip type - select phh-treble-pie-fixes-minimal.zip from this post below (to fix brightness, camera2 api and bluetooth)
Factory reset, note: google setup needs gapps-su build or you can dirty flash (restore /data from backup)
Reboot system, fingers crossed for several minutes. If the system does not boot for 2 minutes, you probably did not perform some step correctly
bonus material: one can re-arrange soft buttons following instructions from this post https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...icons-or-re-arrange-the-buttons-without-root/
bonus material: one can adjust auto brightness by issuing "settings put system screen_auto_brightness_adj 0.4" via ADB shell, where 0.4 is any value between -1 and 1
Note: to completely unroot, execute /system/bin/phh-securize.sh via adb root shell

Yes, you can. Treble roms can be installed on ARB and NON-ARB roms.

Tried both phh-treble 8.1 and 9.0. GSI roms can be flashed one over another (factory reset may still be required for downgrade 9->8.1)

Hi @galev_90, it's stable with known issues - bluetooth and brightness need a fix described in the first post. MTP (usb file transfer) does not work (the patch may exist, did not try any), volte - probably does not work.
To get more specific instructions, one needs to explain what is not clear from what is already described. It may be helpful to read phh-treble thread by phhusson as well.

Instruction updated for latest Xiaomiu.eu baseline. MTP is fixed in 8.11.29 vendor.

I'm downloaded aonly gapp su version. Nothing failed in the new build 108. And I'm no flash anything else. Only aonly file.

S O L U T I O N
No PC needed, no MSM no cables , it is OTA flash!
FIXED the phone by flashing rollback package, as described:
W A R N I N G ! ! ! THIS ROLLBACK PACKAGE WILL FORMAT INTERNAL STORAGE - BACKUP YOUR FILES ! ! !
1.download it (if mods remove the link PM me) https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlu...all_2105112238_downgrade_708a3306f3904ad4.zip
2.file will be downloaded as .JAR, not sure why! rename the file from xxxxxxxxx.zip.jar to xxxxxxxx.zip (simply remove the jar extension)
3.move the file from folder Download to root internal storage on the phone
4.go to Settings/System/System updates
tap on top right corner and choose Local Update - then you should see the downloaded .zip , choose it and you will be rolled back to 10.3 as brand new phone.
Result: Battery hold up great!

I think there is rollback packages from oos11 open beta,
Not sure if it can work on stable.
You should look it out.

I got " FIREHOUSE COMMUNICATION HANDSHAKE FAILED "
CAn you please share your MSM that worked for u and qualcom drivers ?
My PC see the device correctly but that error...
I'm trying with: 6T_MsmDownloadTool_v4.0.59_OOS_v9.0.13
P.s: FIXED the phone by flashing this rollback package, as described:
W A R N I N G ! ! ! THIS ROLLBACK PACKAGE WILL FORMAT INTERNAL STORAGE - BACKUP YOUR FILES ! ! !
1.download it (if mods remove the link PM me) https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlu...all_2105112238_downgrade_708a3306f3904ad4.zip
2.file will be downloaded as .JAR, not sure why! rename the file from xxxxxxxxx.zip.jar to xxxxxxxx.zip (simply remove the jar extension)
3.move the file from folder Download to root internal storage on the phone
4.go to Settings/System/System updates
tap on top right corner and choose Local Update - then you should see the downloaded .zip , choose it and you will be rolled back to 10.3 as brand new phone.
Result: Battery hold up great!

I'm glad it worked well for you.
Need to find posts on future fixes on that matter.
we want OOS11 (It's cool) but with normal battery.
